Property type cabin

Overview

About the property

3 acres surrounding a horseshoe shaped canyon.

Serenity Falls Cabin is located on 3 acres in the middle of a canyon with breathtaking views. The cabin is conveniently located on Hwy 11, half a mile from Torrent Falls, 4 miles from Natural Bridge State Park and a half of a mile from Red River Rock House restaurant, but is very secluded. Wifi, Netflix, Hulu and upgraded cable subscriptions included.

The cabin sits in the middle of a horseshoe shaped canyon. There are unique areas around the property to explore including multiple creeks, beautiful old trees and rock formations that can only be found in the Red River Gorge. There is a seasonal waterfall that you can see from the porch. The waterfall runs in the Winter, Fall and Spring or after several days of hard raining. It is a 3 minute walk up to the cabin from the parking area, but it is well worth the seclusion and beauty of this cabin. There is a fire pit where you can cook over the fire, grill out on the charcoal grill, or cook in the newly remodeled kitchen. The cabin offers indoor or outdoor seating for meals. There are two Adirondack chairs situated under the canyon, which makes a relaxing spot for coffee in the morning, especially when it is raining. You can look out to the beautiful horse shoe canyon from the hot tub. This is truly a special, secluded cabin!

The cabin has 3 beds. One private master bedroom with a California King bed with a large hand made barn door. There is a loft containing two Queen beds divided by a wall. There is a nice sized couch for sleeping and extra comforters, blankets and pillows. New kitchen appliances have been installed and the bathroom has been completely remodeled. The bathroom walls are made of 100 year old barn wood.

New beds, new hardwood floors throughout the cabin, and a new wood stove were just installed in 2018!

You are welcome to bring your dog/dogs they will enjoy the vacation as much as you with all of the creeks and woods to play in!

Check in is at 2pm. Check out is at 10am. If you need to arrive earlier or check out later, please let us know in advance and we will see if we can accommodate your request.

We welcome any questions that you may have about the property.

Seclusion & Serenity

  • 5 of 5

Honestly, the whole package. Felicia thought of everything and has an eye for style because I’ve never stayed in a cabin so well put together. The beautiful farmhouse sink, authentic barn wood, devine master bedroom and every amenity you can think up (plus a hot tub under the stars!!). The property is what really made this place completely unique. You park by the road, then walk up a little steep path to the cabin (worth it!!). Because then you realize you’re almost surrounded by rock walls with a massive ravine. You have a waterfall on the property, several places to post up on a bench, and hiking right there. We didn’t even leave the premises from check in - highly recommend.

A Beautiful Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Oh Serenity Falls.... We stayed there this past week and we already miss it. You have constructed the nicest cabin we have ever seen. We were amazed by the cleanliness and the quality of the cabin itself. Everything was built with care and creativity. The new beds were as good as a 5 star hotel. The property alone made our trip. Our kids traversed the boulders and hills on the property and that was their favorite part of the trip. Thanks for taking so much pride in your investment property, we will be back for sure. I would value this 10 out of 10 with respect to value.

Even better than the pictures!

  • 5 of 5

Arriving in the evening, we did not fully realize the splendor we would wake up to. This place is simply gorgeous! The cabin and the surrounding cabin was everything we could have hoped for our New Year retreat. It was very very cold, but the cabin was cozy and hot tub hot! The falls were frozen solid and every bit as beautiful as if they were flowing. Went on shorter hikes than we normally would due to the low temperatures, but enjoyed the area as much as we always have. Normally we camp, this was our first wintertime trip to the gorge. We are already scouting the calendar for our next trip to Serenity Falls.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice review! The Red River Gorge is just as spectacular in the winter than in the warmer months and I am so glad you all were able to spend some time there in January!

About Felicia Snyder

We both live in Lexington, Kentucky. For a number of years, we had wanted to purchase a property in the Red River Gorge. When we found this place, we knew it was the one! We enjoy hiking and traveling. We have two dogs who love hiking with us in the Gorge.

Felicia Snyder purchased this cabin in 2016

Why Felicia Snyder chose Campton

This cabin has been our dream. We are so very lucky to be able to share this beautiful property! As soon as you cross the bridge over the creek and walk up to the house, you will understand why we chose this property. It is beautiful and a true representation of the uniqueness of the Red River Gorge.

What makes this cabin unique

The land surrounding the property is absolutely gorgeous. Sitting on the porch and looking up at the rock wall and the trees is very relaxing. During the Fall, winter and Spring you will likely catch the waterfall running in the back of the property. Listening to the water from the porch is also very relaxing.
