Beautiful bush cottage
Sometimes returning to a place you have really loved isn’t the best idea, but our second stay at Boranup Cottage was even better than the first. The secluded bush setting of the cottage in the beautiful Karri forest was a gorgeous as ever. This archetypal rammed earth cottage, with blue wrens and kangaroos close by is only a few steps steps from the fantastic Boranup Cafe and Gallery, yet feels like you are the only people for miles around. Loved the log fire, well apportioned living space, giant rainforest shower and hot tub. Our kids went completely free range. And the location is just stunning. Jane was so supportive and compassionate when’s my husand has an accident and we and to cut our holiday short. Couldn’t fault this place, and can’t wait for our third visit! Oh and the best bit is that it is very dog friendly as well!
We are very fortunate to have the cottage surrounded by the beautiful peaceful untouched forest and we are so glad that you had another enjoyable stay.
Great news that you are recovering well and I hope it wont be long until you are back down south !!
All the best Jane
Wonderful escape into the forest
This was an outstanding location to stay, with ease to head either north or south along Caves Road and to all points along it. The peace and quiet of the location, nestled into the trees, made it a great escape after each day of exploration. And the access to Margaret River, Hamelin Bay, Augusta, and all points in every direction made this an outstanding starting location for explorations. And then, once the travels were done for the day, pulling the patio chair out under the open sky made for great way to bring the day to a close under the blazing Milky Way.
The location was very well apportioned and comfortable, clean and tidy to welcome us. The kitchen had every amenity needed for a comfortable stay and the contents were well thought out for those staying either for a short or a long stay.
Lovely cottage- nice and quite.
Was a great little place for the 2 of us. Located in the heart of the Boranup forest and caves area. 20min Margaret river.
Thankyou for taking the time to review the cottage We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay. Ralph and Jane
Beautiful and serene
The cottage was wonderful and clean and a perfect location from which to explore the surrounding caves (can recommend Giant's Cave especially!) and hiking trails. The lounge room was spatious and cosy, the shower was extraordinarily large, and the spa was a lovely extra. The array of cooking pans, crockery and tupperware was particularly useful. We had a lovely time and hope to be back before long!
Samuel I am so glad that you enjoyed not only the cottage but the unique surroundings of the karri forest and close proximity to the caves . Sounds like you enjoy a bit of cooking but I hope you had a day off and walked to the amazing boranup cafe that has exceptional meals . Hope to see you again soon . Regards Jane
A lovely cosy cottage with great atmosphere.
Hi Jane, we had a wonderful week-end at Boranup Cottage. It was so
great to get away to the beautiful surrounds of your cottage in the forest. Your cottage is the perfect antidote for a busy working life up in Perth. Walks, drives and restaurants were the order of the day and we
enjoyed it all. It was lovely our dog could join us as well at the cottage and many of the local venues including Boranup Café.
So wonderful to hear that you were able to unwind and enjoy the serenity of the forest Myra .
A lovely little cottage
It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, although the Boranup Gallery and Cafe is literally 3 minutes walk and there are chalets and other properties located close by. The cottage is cosy, but I agree with another reviewer in that the bedrooms are not heated so the additional blankets provided are needed in the colder months. It was clean, the shower was good however I would recommend a stronger exhaust fan as it can get quite steamy in the bathroom.
The two single beds pushed together were not comfortable to sleep on so I would recommend a new double bed or two singles that are at least the same height. The oven would occasionally go out while cooking and I am not sure if this is due to how it is vented as it sounded like air was coming in when the wind blew.
The location is good and in easy access to all Margaret River has to offer and the drive down was beautiful with all the tall trees.
