About the property

The ULTIMATE experience - Waterfront apartment with amazing Sydney Harbour views

The Location

Cremorne Point is a peninsula of land located on the picturesque Lower North Shore of Sydney Harbour, separating Shell Cove from Mosman Bay. It is one of the city’s most prestigious and convenient locations.

Renowned for its stunning views across the world’s most beautiful harbour. An eight minute scenic ferry ride has you at Circular Quay, the gateway to Sydney’s CBD. Directly opposite is the Opera House , Fort Denison and the Royal Botanic Gardens, with views stretching from the Harbour Bridge in the west, to Vaucluse in the east.

A perfect setting to view the fireworks displays from the harbour and bridge, as well as the Sydney to Hobart Yacht races.

Sit and watch the ferries, watercabs, sailing and speed boats sail by your front door. You will also see huge ocean liners and massive tankers making their way in and out of the harbour.

Enjoy a picnic on the foreshore.

Enjoy one of the most scenic foreshore walks in Sydney from Cremorne Point to Mosman Bay.

Why would you want to stay anywhere else?

The Apartment

Walk up a couple of steps from the front lawn and you can enter the apartment through a private door into the dining and sitting rooms, which have stunning views of the Harbour including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. Dine at night with the city and harbour lights as your backdrop.

The apartment is on the ground floor of a block of seven. It occupies the whole width of the building and thus has no immediate neighbour.

It has its own private lawn bordering Cremorne Point Reserve. Beyond the Reserve is the harbour foreshore, with sensational uninterrupted views to the Opera House, CBD and the Harbour Bridge.

The Accommodation

A lovely spacious two bedroom apartment, with built in robes, which sleeps four comfortably, and provides expansive open plan living, with high ceilings enhanced by sandstone feature walls.

Main bedroom has a CD player.

Ultra modern equipped kitchen.

Stunning marble bathroom .

A 2nd half bathroom has washbasin and toilet. This room doubles as the laundry, with an automatic washing machine and a dryer.

There is a second large sitting room that opens off another entrance.

All linen and towels are supplied.

Just Outside

Just outside the apartment is Cremorne Point Reserve, which has one of the best scenic walks in the world. Take the footpath and head south-east.

After two minutes you will be at the MacCallum Pool, a 22 metre pool that overlooks the harbour. This is a popular swimming location that started out as a rock pool created by the local residents to form a safe harbour swimming hole. The pool dates back to the nineteen-twenties and has been restored in keeping with this heritage. The unique waterside timber deck is an unparalleled sunbathing spot.

Look back and admire the spectacular panoramic view of the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the city skyline. The Royal Botanic Gardens can also be seen adjacent to and to the east of the Opera House.

Continue along the foreshore walk for another five minutes and you are at the Cremorne Point Wharf. From here ferries run every half-hour to and from the city and round the point to Mosman Bay.

Another five minutes in the same direction will get you to the lighthouse on Robertson’s Point, the extreme end of Cremorne Point. The view of the harbour from here extends around three hundred degrees, a wonderful vantage point for watching the yacht races and all the life of the busy harbour.

Head along the eastern foreshore of Cremorne Point and time will be forgotten. There are too many things to look at: the shipyard; the boats at their moorings; the old houses;

the gardens; the whole of Mosman Bay.

Past the Rowers Club- or stop for a drink and meal- and you will see the boats at the marina and then Mosman Wharf. Have a coffee there and catch the ferry back!

Local Transport

Ferries run between Cremorne Point and Circular Quay every thirty minutes throughout the day and every forty-five minutes during the evening.

Circular Quay has a public transport hub that connects up the city’s trains, ferry and buses services.

Buses run from Cremorne Wharf , via Milson Road, to Neutral Bay Wharf, via the Military Road restaurant strip.

If you prefer to drive, the city’s system of motorways and tunnels link in a short distance from Cremorne Point.

Take in a movie at the beautiful restored Hayden Orpheum Picture Theatre at Cremorne, which for movie buffs regularly shows both older and house movies, as well as the latest releases.

Excellent Apartment, view and location

  • 5 of 5

Probably our fifth stay, apartment has everything required and all of high quality. View from dining table is uninterrupted to opera house and Sydney cbd. a real treat to watch Sydney harbour ferries, the lights come on at night, and to see the huge cruise ships leaving between 6pm and 8pm. Enjoy the morning walk doing the loop around cremorne point reserve, taking in the harbour foreshores and the federation arts and crafts houses. And easy access to the Sydney cbd using the cremorne point ferry. Visiting the Cremorne Orpheum restored cinema complex is always a pleasure. IGA supermarket at Cremorne is 5 minute drive. A great place to stay, Already booked for 2018.

Great Location with Breathtaking view of the City.

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent 4 nights in this beautiful apartment and will definitely be back. The location is amazing and the view is incredible. We swam in the local pool, did many walks around the point and ferry trips into the city. The beds are comfortable and the apartment has everything you could possibly want.

Owner's Response: Thank-you for your lovely review and wonderful to hear that you all enjoyed the apartment and took full advantage of the activities on your doorstep. The habour swimming pool, with views across to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge- would have to be one of the best swimming pools in the world- as far a s views go. And the walks around the harbour foreshore are so relaxing, as well as picturesique. Look forward to having you stay again when back over in Sydney.

We enjoyed our stay and found the location very accessible. Short ferry ride from Circular Quay and 6 -7 min walk to apartment. Only issue may be steep step in and out of bath if you have agility issues. Had a fabulous time. Soaked up views and walks around foreshore. Jenny very kindly checked how everything was going during our stay. Be aware ferry timetable changes over the weekend and later at night!! Recommend for relaxation or exploring !!!

Owner's Response: So pleased that you enjoyed your stay and had a relaxing time and got to do the walks around the foreshore. These walks are relaxing in themselves, as you get to enjoy the scenery, gardens and art deco homes. Yes, the ferry timetables do change in the evening and at week-ends, with the timetables for the various ferries in the Transport Booklet in the apartment. Look forward to having you stay again when next in Sydney.

Owner's Response: Very gratifying to know that you enjoyed your stay in the apartment and had everything that you required, and most importantly was able to relax. Being directly on the Sydney Harbour foreshore, gives you something different to see at all times of the day- with the Opera House as your background. It was great to see that you did the walks around the harbour foreshore, as this is an experience that everyone should do and experience to enjoy the beauty of the quiet surrounds, gardens and art deco homes on the foreshore. Looking forward to having you back again when you next are in need of a relaxing break.

The Best Place To See The Sydney Vivid Festival

  • 5 of 5

I really wanted to give my parents the gift of experiencing Sydney from the other side of the harbour (away from city). They were absolutely blown away by the worldclass view from the apartment, the quiet surroundings and superb bushland. It was so hard to believe we were only a short ferry ride from Circular Quay.

The apartment was perfect for us. Both bedrooms were a good size and had super comfy beds. The hot water was perfect and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was a quiet living space to retire to but we visited for the Vivid festival so could not take our eyes off the phenomenal views from the front lounge and dining rooms at night.

Jenny took great care of us, even making sure we had umbrellas as rain was predicted. Yes, we had one rainy day but it didn't dampen our spirts. I recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a little luxury for a fabulous price. Enjoy!

Owner's Response: What a delight to know that your parents enjoyed the gift you gave them , so that they could have an experience from the other side of the harbour. As you said, it is a very quiet beautiful area , with those iconic views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge- and throw in the spectacular lights of the Vivid Festival and you would not want to be anywhere else- such lovely memories to have shared with them. Wonderful to know that you found everything perfect in the apartment, especially the comfortable beds. It is very satisfying to me to know that guests have everything that they need to enjoy the experience. If you need to have any further special time out with your parents from this side of the harbour, would love to have you all stay again.

The location of this apartment is so convenient for anyone travelling by public transport. We have just spent a week here and found it very easy to access public transports either by ferry or bus. And of course that view is absolutely beautiful especially at night. We were even fortunate to have fireworks on the harbour during our stay

Owner's Response: So pleased that you found the transport system so convenient- there really is no need for a car, unless wishing to travel further out of Sydney. Of course there is no better way to travel than by ferry on the beautiful harbour. Always wonderful to know that guests thoroughly enjoy their stay and get to enjoy those beautiful views across the harbour. There is no need to go out for dinner, as very few restaurants offer the views that you have through the dining room window. Hope to have you stay again when next in Sydney and hopefully have another fireworks display put on just for you!!
