About the property

Leisurely Manor is a really spacious holiday home for you and your family or group of friends.

Leisurely Manor has a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, pots/pans, crockery & cutlery, serving bowls and platters and a small array of essential pantry items. Make a cuppa when you first walk in the door with fresh plunger coffee or a variety of teas.

Free WiFi provided.

You can wash your clothes or iron your evening dress/work clothes in the laundry.

The lounge room features a comfortable lounge suite, large screen TV, DVD player and reverse cycle air conditioning.

The second lounge room has a 3 seater leather couch and another large screen TV (+ DVD/Blu-ray player) - ideal for the kids or to watch the news in peace & quiet.

Original polished floorboards, high ceilings, leadlight doors and windows, two toilets, off street parking for 2 cars, a lovely garden and more await you.

A gas heater, 2 reverse cycle air conditioners and a good quality portable fan provides 3 forms of heating/cooling inside the house.

There's lots of extras like books for the kids to read, a couple of games to play, shampoo and even hair straightener's in the bathroom and other bibs and bobs throughout to make your stay nice and enjoyable such as luggage racks for your bags and woollen underlays on the beds.

The waft of the orange tree blossom denotes spring and the resulting fruit in winter is abundant and magnificent.

There are 3 parks within several minutes walk of Leisurely Manor, with swings etc for the kids to enjoy and a stroller, baby bed & high chair in the house for your use.

I highly recommend Café 58, Emilie's cafe and 9seeds café, all just a short 5 minute walk away. There's a liquor outlet and petrol station 1 minutes drive from Leisurely Manor where you can also purchase milk, bread, the daily newspaper and other essentials. Woolworths is 1km away for larger food supplies.

If you are travelling by public transport, buses to Fremantle can be accessed from Marmion Street 1 minutes walk away. From there, take the train to explore the city of Perth.

Fremantle is recognised as the best preserved 19th Century seaport in the world. Over 150 buildings in the port city are classified by the National Trust, These include: The Round House which was built in 1831 & is the oldest public building in W.A, The Esplanade Hotel which was built in 1890s and the Fremantle Prison which was built by convict labour in the 1850s.

Fremantle was establlished in 1829 as a port for the fledgling Swan River Colony and was the major city in Western Australia for much of its early history. Fremantle became a city in its own right by 1929, and survived the building demolitions of the 1890s and the 1960s. The city emerged in 1987 when it was the host city for the Americas Cup sailing challenge, as a city rich in heritage and character.

“Freo” as it is also know to the locals, is home to a 500-strong fishing fleet and a vast number of yachts and pleasure craft. Two significant historical replica ships were built here: The HMS Endeavour and the Duyfken which was the first Dutch vessel to chart the Australian coastline in 1666.

The port city of Fremantle is located at the mouth of the Swan River on the West Coast of Western Australia and is part of the Perth metropolitan area. Perth city is only 20 kms away which is a 25 minute cab ride or 30 minute trip by train.

Fremantle is much more than an architectural time capsule. It provides a unique opportunity for visitors to experience and enjoy a range of cultural activities in a relaxed atmosphere. A browse through the markets or leisurely stop at one of the numerous cafes and restaurants will complement your exploration of the arts, making a visit to Fremantle a rich and rewarding experience.

Lonely Planet named Fremantle the #7 top city to visit world wide (Best in Travel 2016). Lonely Planet likes Fremantle's raffish harbour town vibe that attracts free spirits from far and wide, our live music venues, Notre Dame university and our reinvention into a bustling, artsy, counter-cultural capital.

Free Wifi Hotspots

Visitors can enjoy free Wifi at the Esplanade Reserve, the Fremantle library, Fremantle arts centre, Fremantle passenger terminal, Fremantle fishing boat harbour, Kings square, High Street Mall and the Cappuccino Strip.

You can check out the City's free WiFi coverage by downloading the Fremantle Map on the City of Fremantle's website or search for FREBytes

Property had electrical issues

  • 2 of 5

Older house which encountered electrical issues during the 5 night stay, resulting in a night without lights and trades onsite most of the following day. Offered no compensation by owner suggesting "out of my control".

Owner's Response: I attended the house immediately but was unable to fix the problem myself even with my electrical contractor advising me by phone at 8pm. The guests had wall mounted lighting and floor lamps working in every room so certainly weren't without lights for the night. With the guests permission the electrician attended first thing the next day while they were out on a planned day trip and replaced the faulty breaker. I feel that I did everything possible and as quickly as possible to resolve this unforseen problem.

We enjoyed our stay. Air conditioners in all bedrooms would've been great & an outdoors clothes line would've been great.

Excellent Property

  • 4 of 5

Very enjoyable stay clean and comfortable, found everything we needed for 4 adults and 2 children. Only suggestion is that it could do with a small clothes line even though it did have a clothes dryer.
