beautiful hunter stay

  • 5 of 5

Very peacefull few days, already missing sitting on the huge verandah chatting with my extended family whilst watching the kids chase our dogs. The property has such lovely views and its very quiet spot. We took a lovely walk down to the creek and saw a few kangaroos. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor BBQ with the whole family, great kitchen for cooking in and had all the essentials. Really well kept property, in great condition, deck looked new and the gardens were stunning. Its in a great location, close to plenty of great winerys, includng our favourite Petersens ! Cant wait to stay again. thank you.

Very tranquil & quiet with fantastic mountain view

  • 4 of 5

We all really enjoyed our time recently staying at Coopers run and will be back !. We arrived on dark evening and the property had the large farm gates open and all outside lights on, which made it easy to unload the car. We used the full kitchen and cooked up a great "spag boll", that didn’t spoil our planned next day lunch at the fabulous "Bistro Moline’s" restaurant which was 5 mins away.

Then 15 min drive to Cypress lakes and our planned Sunday morning golf.

Overall the house is in a good private location, had what we needed and was clean, comfortable and good value. We all slept well and awoke to the sound of various birds chirping on the large veranda railing, then looked out across the sloping paddocks with kangaroos grazing and amazing green mountainous view

Lovely as always

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for our stay at Coopers Run. We have stayed there several times now and always love our visits to the Hunter Valley with Coopers Run as our base. This time we had lunch at the stunning Bistro Molines which was just a short drive away and we will definitely be back.

I always love the mornings having breakfast on the deck and looking out to the mountains, so peaceful and pretty.

Disappointing property. Avoid.

  • 2 of 5

I have been in lots of Stayz places before and always been happy but there were lots of things that needed attention in this place.

The bathrooms were really dirty- hair and dirt in shower and toilets were dirty under the seats.

There was dried bird poo on all the outdoor cushions and then when I tried to use my room bedside lamp it didn't work. I tried to unscrew the globe to see if it needed replacement and there was a hundred dead bugs in the setting.

We couldn't put milk or drinks upright in the Fridge door as the shelves had been removed due to damage. The rangehood was covered in grease and place was generally dirty.

It was a bit embarrassing because I was the one who booked for our party.

Every Stayz place I have been in has basics like long life or fresh milk, paper towel, olive oil, tissues, air freshener and spare blankets. I had to borrow blankets from another bed as our room didn't have any.

I contacted the owner prior to this review to let them know about the problems and ways to improve the experience for Stayz renters. I had no response. When paying $750 per night,(the most I have ever paid for a Stayz house), the guest expects things to work and be clean at the very least. Ripped lounge chairs, kitchen equipment that falls apart, it's just not good enough! The owners need to fix the issues or remove the property from Stayz.

Owner's Response: You were unable to contact me as I was away due to family reasons when you stayed and unfortunately our cleaner replaced herself with someone who obviously didn’t have attention to detail as our regular cleaner. We have never had complaints about the cleaning in over 9 years of operating and I apologise that this was your experience. We have recently had the deck revarnished and an electrician has checked and replaced lights. There are cracks in the synthetic leather fabric on the headrest of 2 armchairs which is under the throws over the chairs. The shelf in the fridge door was removed as it was cracked and we thought would be worse if it broke with bottles on it, we were waiting for the order to arrive…it has since been reinstalled. There are spare blankets in the drawers of each of the bedrooms, one of the bedrooms doesnt have a chest of drawers so the spare blanket is in another bedroom as you discovered. In the kitchen there are basics for guests to use, including olive oil, salt and pepper, paper towels, tea and coffee. Also I have checked the rate you paid and it was $637.50 per night for 6 guests not $750 as you stated. Again I apologise that you were not satisfied but I hope that future guests take into consideration previous guests reviews. Regards Patsy

Peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay. All rooms clean and decor lovely. Good size kitchen and living area. We also loved the idea of being able to dine inside as well as "alfresco" on the verandah, to relax in the lounge area inside or on the verandah and enjoyed sitting around the chimenaya in the evenings. Beautifully kept gardens and lawns. Location just perfect - away from main roads and in the country. Very picturesque location with kangaroos in the paddocks and birdlife plentiful. Wonderful home and we'll be back for sure. Three nights wasn't long enough!

Lovely location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Cooper's Run and found it to be a good location for access to the Hunter Valley. It was clean and neat, however, it was frustrating that the windows were screwed closed (perhaps some security screens should be purchased?).
