What makes this Cottage unique
Gateway to the best “Snowy Mountains” skiing and trout fishing. “Currawong Cottage” is a sunny, warm timber cottage, waterfront, on a quiet inlet of Lake Eucumbene. Two bedrooms, one with queen bed and the other with two single beds. Pleasant lounge with expansive bush outlook and a large effective slow combustion wood heater. Well equipped kitchen and dining area. Large sunny balcony. The cottage is in a quiet, bushy area with access to the water and only a few hundred metres to boat ramp and an excellent general provision store with boat hire, fishing tackle, bait, car and boat fuel. Ski hire is available within a short drive to the lovely mountain township of Adaminaby or onsite at Selwyn Ski Resort. “Currawong Cottage” at Angler’s Reach, is on a small, pretty peninsular on the ‘Providence Arm’ of Lake Eucumbene, possibly the biggest and best trout fishing lake in Australia. Just 14 kilometers out of Adaminaby township on the Snowy Mountains Highway. A thirty minute drive to Mount Selwyn snowfields with excellent family skiing, or a little over one hour to Thredbo and Perisher via Jindabyne and the Skitube. Excellent all-weather sealed road access from North, South, East, and West. Cottage location: Turn left off the Snowy Mountains Highway, approximately 2 kilometres on Kiandra side of Adaminaby at signposts “Anglers Reach 14 kilometres”. Great for family
We love the feel, amenities and location of this property. The owners are quick to respond. Would definitely love to come back here.
Fantastic location, everything you need in a perfect cottage.
Great little cottage with everything you need for a weekend away. It about 40 mins from Mt Selwyn and 10mins out of Adaminaby.
Break from reality
Great place to stay. There is no phone reception, which made it a great break from reality. Would have been great to have another heater in the place at night. Beautiful and peaceful location.
Cute Cottage in a lovely location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. Excellent proximity to the snow, and beautiful wildlife all around. Important to know there is no phone or wifi, but a public phone nearby at the caravan park (which also sells milk, bread etc). Also very important to ask how to operate a wood fire if you do not know, we needed it and enjoyed it very much. The oil heater in the main bedroom is a fantastic addition - keeps the downstairs room cosy warm in the evening. Thanks for a lovely stay.
