About the property

Welcome to our modern design two storey town house close to the heart of Busselton. Just meters from the beautiful white sands of Geographe bay, and 5 to 10 minutes walk to the town center and the famous Busselton Jetty.

This is the ideal spot for a relaxing family holiday, or romantic or action packed weekend getaway - the choice really is yours.

Busselton is a friendly community, that is small enough to feel you have escaped the city, and yet large enough that all of your needs are more than catered for. And to top it off Busselton has the most beautiful pristine beaches, which make up Geographe Bay.There is 4WD access to the beach in some areas and small boats can be launched from the beach boat ramps.

Most of the year it is calm, which makes it safe for children. Activities include, fishing, crabbing, snorkeling and sailing. If you're lucky you'll also be able to see the playful dolphins swimming off the shore.

The ground floor consists of a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area, including sliding glass doors which open out to the outdoor alfresco area, artificial lawn and landscaped back yard.

Also on the bottom floor is the master bedroom, which contains a queen size bed, two bedside tables and a large floor to ceiling mirrored robe. The bedroom windows are also floor to ceiling and let in a gorgeous breeze in the evening. The master bedroom also has a adjoining en-suite, and separate toilet for downstairs use. The separate laundry is also downstairs.

Upstairs consists of two bedrooms, the first with a queen size bed, the other containing two king size single bunk beds (so four beds in the one room). Both rooms contain built in robes. There is also an adjoining bathroom with bath, and separate toilet.


All bedrooms are carpeted, and the main living areas are a modern floorboard lookalike (vinyl) surface.

Good location but not pet friendly

We enjoyed our stay in Busselton - the house is in a good location, close to the beach and town and the kitchen is relatively well equipped. We were however disappointed with the cleanliness of the place on arrival - there were noodles in the kitchen plug hole, dirty wine glasses in the cupboard, food scraps in the bottom of the dishwasher, hairs in one of the children's beds, dust on the sideboard, the outside bin was full and smelt, a few spiders and cockroaches also had to be removed.

Even more disappointingly, we were charged an additional cleaning fee on leaving for "excessive cleaning" due to our dog leaving some marks on the glass door that led to the garden - we left the house cleaner than we found it but were unable to properly clean the glass due to no cleaning products being supplied. We were also accused of leaving sand and dog hair throughout the house (we swept prior to leaving), dirty paw marks all over the walls (none that we noticed and our dog does not jump), leaving the garage in a mess (did not use the garage), dog hair all over the beds (our dog did not go into the bedrooms). I am still waiting to see the "heaps of photos" that the cleaner apparently took showing all the mess as the 4 that were provided definitely did not justify the charge.

Having stayed in various houses in Busselton/dunsborough with a dog over the last 13 years, never have we been charged for extra cleaning. Definitely one for dog owners to avoid if they want a stress free time away.

We were extremely disappointed at the cleanliness of this unit to such an extent that if we had not arrived so late on Sunday afternoon, we would have looked for somewhere else to stay locally.

The place was dirty, dirty , dirty

• There was a gob of grease on the worktop and food splashes on the microwave near the hob.

• Food scraps in the dishwasher filter and in the sink drain.

• Crumbs in the cutlery drawers

• One or two dinner plates were not clean

• The wood laminate floor was dirty especially in the kitchen area, but all over really. Compare the area under the rug that is slightly less grubby.

• Cobwebs and spiders in the downstairs wardrobes, in the shower room and toilet and up the side of the fridge

• Grubby nooks and crannies in the shower cubicle.

• Grubby fingerprints on the patio doors.

• Ripped insect screen at the patio door

• Stained sofa.

• Toilet roll tube and dust bunnies below the wine rack

• Dust bunnies, hair, dead insects, a crayon and a seashell (from an ornament) below the dresser.

• More dirt, hair, dead insects and food crumbs under the TV, sofa and console table

• Many of the enclosed ceiling lights contained dead insects

• Stained hand towel

The carpets are also quite stained but I suppose it's difficult to keep those clean.

It's obvious that the house has not been cleaned properly for some time.

The bed, thankfully, was clean.

As I said, we almost walked out but didn't because of the problem of rebooking at short notice in an unfamiliar area. So we decided to clean up ourselves and stay.

I know that things like insects are a fact of life in a country like Australia, but basic hygiene and cleanliness is also a fact of life. Basic hygiene and cleanliness will deter small visitors. And I don't think it's too much to expect that the place should be clean and well maintained on entry. It definitely was not.

On the positive side, the accommodation was roomy and well equipped. There was air conditioning in the two upstairs bedrooms and the lounge, but not the master bedroom. There were bikes (but no helmets) and kayaks in the good sized garage. The location is great for the beach and other Busselton attractions.
