A hidden gem
Our three families loved the stay. My kids were dismayed we couldn't move in permanently. We all brought bikes and enjoyed getting out. Two of us were keen mountain bikers and the fact that gnarly tracks were just a few hundred meters away was a bonus. It's hilly and for anyone considering riding with young family I recomend going out for a recon before taking young kids out. Wonderfully quiet and secluded. A beautiful homey property we were really able to relax in.
Thank you Chris for your lovely endorsement. It is indeed an very private hidden gem! We would love to have you stay again.
Highly recommended for a relaxing break
The important point for us was that the property suited our group size of eight and made for a very comfortable three night stay. After a hard day of eating and drinking it was great to be able to relax in the bush type setting away from the hustle and bustle. The other point to make is that the property was as described in the web site literature supported with effective relevant communication from the property manager. Next time I will bring my bike!
Thanks for your lovely feedback. And yes, you can ride in to the Pines through South Carters directly from the property so do bring bikes next time! We'd love to have you visit again and very happy you enjoyed your stay.
Excellent family holiday house
Our group including grandparents, parents and teenage children thorougly enjoyed our week. We loved waking up with bird calls in the bushland, but being close to Margaret River. The whole family enjoyed pool table challenges, access to wi-fi and stargazing.
Fantastic Stay's Property
We really enjoyed our stay at Freshwater Burnside, it is a lovely, well appointed house in a beautiful bush setting. The location is an excellent position to be a base of operations for day tours throughout the south-west.
Stunning property nestled amongst the bush. Clean and tidy with excellent facilities. Children and adults loved all the bush walks in the property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Owners were lovely, accomodating and very easy to deal with.

We had a wonderful stay, there was 8 of us (4 married couples) the bedrooms are set up with two on the mezzanine level and 2 on the ground floor, there was enough space for everyone to relax . The house is equipped with everything you need , and the grounds are beautiful . You can happily relax at the house or within 10 minutes you are in Margaret river , so very handy for everything .
