Family friendly 4 brm house, sleeps 10, playground, great garden, front deck/BBQ
About John Hearn
We pride ourselves on providing a family friendly holiday home at a fair price. We are born and bred in Melbourne, and regularly stay there ourselves, so ensure all the creatures of home are catered for. We have been running Rest @ Rye since late 2006 and have many guests who have returned to stay more than 5 - 10 times over the years. A happy guest makes us happy.
John Hearn purchased this House in 2006
Why John Hearn chose Rye
We picked this house as it's close to everything, is securely fenced for privacy, and a perfectly flat block, great for kids to play outside. It's extremely clean, well maintained and has all the creatures of home, yet still has the nice basic feel of a true beach house. Modern and comfortable furniture, comfortable beds, safe and securely fenced garden for children to play, lovely gas open fire, air-conditioning, separate shower room, bathroom and 2 toilets all make for a comfortable stay. Lots of DVDs to watch a movie, or relax on the front deck, or under the trees in the private front or back yards. A built in BBQ adds to the front deck. As we and family members regularly stay there, we make sure the house is well maintained, well stocked, and has all the creature comforts of home (ie Microwave, Coffee Pod machine, Dish Washer, Dryer, Washing machine etc)

Spacious house with a great location
We stayed here for a girls weekend to go to the Peninsula Hot Springs.
Ten ladies stayed at the house and there was plenty of room for all of us in the lounge/ dining area. The beds were comfortable and the rooms accommodated for all of us.
Convenient having two bathrooms including two showers and two toilets. Heaps of extra blankets, fans etc., for the rooms, and kitchenware was plentiful. everything we needed was able to be found in the cupboards.
Access to the house was easy and there was plenty of room for cars.
The house, although not walking distance, was close to the Main Street for cafes and restaurants. The house was only a ten minute drive to the Peninsula Hot Springs.
We enjoyed everything Rye had to offer and would recommend staying at Rest @ Rye.
The springs were an easy 10 minute drive from the house.
Thanks for the great review Kylie, glad you had a great stay.
John was a pleasure to deal with.

This lovely house is located in Rye, near the Blairgowrie border on the Victorian Mornington Peninsula. Within minutes drive of Bay and Back beaches, the worlds best golf courses, a range of lovely wineries, the Peninsula Hotsprings, Strawberry Farms and Children's playgrounds. Don't miss a stroll along the Sorrento Shops, or catch a ferry across to Queenscliff for the day, the Point Nepean National Park at Portsea or many of the surf beaches along the coast. Flinders is another lovely little town to visit on the Westernport side of the Peninsula.
