Welcome to Appy Hill. Our pristine cozy cabin is located 18 miles from Boone and Appalachian State University on 2.75 acres surrounded by massive hardwood trees and rhododendron in the Blue Ridge mountains. We have plenty of parking along with BBQ grill and a fire pit. Enjoy and explore the High Country. Visit Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway, Howard's Knob, take a campus tour of Appalachian State, canoe and/or fish on Watauga Lake, canoe the Watauga River, hike the Appalachian Trail, visit the famous Mast General Store in Valle Crucis along with the park located on the banks of the Watauga River, summer offers the outdoor drama Horn in The West to name a few. In the spring, summer and fall, visit Hawksnest Zipline. In the winter, ski at Appalachian Ski Mountain, Sugar Mountain or Beech Mountain, We recommend a four wheel drive in the winter. Travel 18 miles to Mountain City Tennessee to visit downtown and their antique shops along with golf at Redtail Mountain Golf. Visit Elizabethton, TN May through August for Saturday night concerts at the bridge. Downtown Boone has free concerts on Friday nights from May through August. Whether you are looking for exploration, hiking, skiing or just relaxing, Appy Hill is a great place to hang out on the front or back porch or just enjoy the High Country.
Appy Hill has two bedrooms with queen beds and a loft with a double bed. The sleeper sofa opens into another queen. Therefore, the cozy cabin sleeps eight comfortably. We have a full kitchen along with a washer and dryer and two bathrooms as well as Free wifi. Appy Hill is fully equipped with linens, kitchen supplies and cooking utensils. The porches have vintage rockers and a swing. Appy Hill is a true cedar log cabin therefore, no bees or insects.
