Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6 People MAX) Please NO Exceptions!

6 People MAX PLEASE! No Exceptions!

THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE OR A PLACE FOR LARGE PARTIES.

Children over 10 are preferred at the ranch. Not a house for toddlers!

The Red Feather Ranch is where you'll find our old farm house. She sets upon a hill, is surrounded by mature trees and centrally located with immediate easy access to Highway 101 and 156, and only moments to the beach.

The ranch is secure, gated and fenced.

Very clean and comfortable, well appointed kitchen, all that you need for a superb vacation. Enjoy listening to the hummingbirds, red tail hawks and blue jays while taking in the Fremont Peak views from your private back porch. Pick fresh veggies and fruit from your own garden box, when in season.

Relax around the outside fire pit or inside near 'Old Faithful', a very competent wood burning stove (the farm houses only main, but reliable source of heat). Also an EdenPure heater is available for your use.

The property houses a few really nice and cool chickens. All colors and flavors of hens and a couple of roosters.

There is also a dog, cats and one horse that live here. Please do not allow children to chase the animals that live here.

Ride your horse, mountain bike or jog from the property to spectacular Manzanita park where there is 100's of acres to explore. It's heavenly! The park sports magnificent ocean and valley views. A baseball diamond is also present on the grounds.

Relaxing weekend close to Monterey and Moss Landing

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a lot our stay at Tisha's ranch. The house was perfect for 6, kitchen well equipped, confortable beds, 2 bathrooms. We loved to sit down in the rocking chairs on the front porch in late afternoon and to enjoyed our coffee on the backyard porch in the morning while watching the view and the succulents in the garden.

It was a bit chilly and we had some rain on Saturday so it was nice that Tisha lit up the fire for us in the living room. Just make sure you bring slippers and crocks so that you can easily switch shoes between the outside and the inside.

We enjoyed a lot the beaches near Moss Landing and went to get fresh fish at Phil's fish market (thanks Tisha for great recommendations!!). The tours with Elkhorn Slough Safari were full, but we'll come back to do that next time! The gallery at Haute Enchilada was fun, especially with its videos of Owls niching near by, we'll try the cafe next time!

Quiet little getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend at the ranch with our 2 young girls and our 2 mothers. The 3 bedrooms plus 1 full bath upstairs (and 1 full bath downstairs) worked out perfectly for the six of us. After a day of visiting Carmel or Monterey/Cannery Row, we'd head back to the ranch, take evening walks in the neighorhood and spend quiet evenings relaxing indoors. We started off our mornings with breakfast, taking a walk on the property where the kids would forever play catch with the ever-active Wyatt, feed sweet gentle Lucy some carrots, or just watch/hear Eddie the rooster crow and the hens roam the property. Considering we were on a ranch, I was very impressed with how clean the inside of the house was; the kitchen was spacious and had lots of pots and pans, fully stocked. We'd love to come back one day. My mom enjoyed it so much she thanked me again for taking her and told me how much she enjoyed the ranch. Tisha and Linda were so nice and helpful. We were sad to leave but we had to get back to reality... and also discovered we left our wedding band at the ranch! Tisha found it and mailed it to us! We are so grateful for our time there and for the ring! Our girls have great memories of this trip!

Loved our stay here, so much fun with all the animals, I wish we could of stayed longer.

  • 5 of 5

Loved this place. Bring carrots for Lucy the horse! Get ready to throw the ball for Wyatt the dog. If you love animals this is the place to stay!! Cats and chickens too!. I wish we could of stayed another couple days to see more coast and around town sights. And to spend more down time with the animals. I would recommend this house to any family. Lots of room with two good sized beds and two twins everyone has their own space. And love the fully stocked kitchen! the owners were so nice and hospitable. I will defiantly come again if we find ourselves in that area again. :) Thank you so much!!!
