Central Coast California Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6 People MAX) Please NO Exceptions!

6 People MAX PLEASE! No Exceptions!

THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE OR A PLACE FOR LARGE PARTIES.

Children over 10 are preferred at the ranch. Not a house for toddlers!

The Red Feather Ranch is where you'll find our old farm house. She sets upon a hill, is surrounded by mature trees and centrally located with immediate easy access to Highway 101 and 156, and only moments to the beach.

The ranch is secure, fenced and gated.

Well mannered dogs welcome with owners approval.

Very clean and comfortable, well appointed kitchen, all that you need for a superb vacation. Enjoy listening to the hummingbirds, red tail hawks and blue jays while taking in the Fremont Peak views from your private back porch. Pick fresh veggies and fruit from your own garden box, when in season.

Relax around the outside fire pit or inside near 'Old Faithful', a very competent wood burning stove (the farm houses only main, but reliable source of heat). Also an EdenPure heater is available for your use.

The property houses a few really nice and cool chickens. All colors and flavors of hens and a couple of roosters.

There is also a dog, a cat and one horse that live here. Please do not allow children to chase the animals that live here.

Ride your horse, mountain bike or jog from the property to spectacular Manzanita park where there is 100's of acres to explore. It's heavenly! The park sports magnificent ocean and valley views. A baseball diamond is also present on the grounds.

Why Tisha Warren chose Central Coast California

Location, location, location and the views are incredible. We absolutely love this area of the fabulous Monterey Bay. Did I mention the location?

This is Paradise!

What makes this farmhouse unique

The Red Feather Ranch has great views of the surrounding mountains and peaks of the lovely Monterey Bay and San Benito counties. The sunrise and sunsets are some of the most beautiful we've seen. The peace and quiet of the property is just amazing.

There is public transporttion just minutes from the ranch with easy access.

Perfect vacation get-away

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly loved staying at this cosy, beautiful, roomy, clean, welcoming home. The host was extremely hospitable and helpful. She made sure the fireplace was burning before we got home each night. She recommended great places for us to visit. She showed us her chickens, left us carrots for the horse, and made us feel right at home. We hope to return soon and often.

Wonderful vacation

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Red Feather Ranch. Tisha was fantastic, she had the wood stove burning each day when we got back, and lots of other thoughtful touches. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable. Plenty of everything needed - blankets, pillows, paper products, shampoo and soap. The location was great - close to the freeway, and stores, and 30 minutes away from Montery and close to Santa Cruz. My family loved the character of the farmhouse, so much better than a generic hotel. A fantastic experience, highly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four - including two teenagers- loved our stay at the ranch. After a busy day site seeing this was perfect to come home to. The kids loved the ranch. Tisha was very gracious and welcoming. She showed us around her ranch and the kids got to play ball with Wyatt and visit Lucy each day. We all enjoyed the stay very much. Thank you for everything Tisha!

Disappointed

  • 2 of 5

The property was everything that was advertised except for pet friendly. When I arrived there dog jumped on me twice and was not reprimanded. Then the lady at the gate seemed surprised I had a small dog in which I payed a deposit for up front. Then bluntly told me the dog must be on a leash at all times. Needless to say there was not a warm welcome in the beginning. The next day their were flowers placed on the porch and fresh eggs which was very nice, then at about 3:oopm the dog on the property began to bark non stop for an hour an a half. I really felt like I was being micromanaged from being told several times about fireworks ( in which we did not have) to where I could park my cars. Vacation are taken to rest and relax and be left alone. I hope with these comments the owners might try and relax a bit themselves.

Owner's Response: Dear Robbin, Sorry to hear of your disappointing stay at Red Feather Ranch. We strive to make every guests stay a perfect one. If I seemed surprised you brought your dog, I’m sorry I forgot you were bringing one and wanted to make sure you were aware of the rules of the ranch upon your arrival. In my prior experience, and when it comes to Guest’s dogs around the chickens and the resident animals, I am very leery, as we lost our favorite show Rooster to a previous guest’s dog not long ago. It was heart breaking. And another dog bit the nose of my horse. So, I’m sorry for the questioning, but it is all stated in the contract and on the website about keeping friendly and “non-aggressive” dogs on a leash at all times while outside on the property, No Exceptions. Regarding the dog barking for an hour and a half, if I remember correctly, it was during the day I had a visiting dog named Goose I was pet sitting, a yellow lab and when Wyatt and him get together its pure “play time”, just being dogs having fun running the property. I did let you know he was visiting that day. It is not usual and we are sorry for the noise that 1 day. Wyatt is a one year old puppy that is in training and when you arrived he was glad to see new faces and was happy and joyful. He doesn’t mean to jump, and he gets excited easily, but he was reprimanded after I noticed him jumping on you and he was brought in the house immediately. Regarding the fireworks cautioning, Monterey County has a “NO fireworks” law and we support it 100% and are on and surrounded by very extremely dry acres full of trees and brush. We love and treasure our homes and property and wanted to emphasize that all guests were aware of the laws of Monterey County when it comes to fireworks during the holiday. We have plenty of designated parking places next to the house and there is no parking in front of both houses, to keep the driveway clear for horse trailers, propane deliveries and to drive and turn around the center cement area for everyone’s use. Being relaxed and stress free is all we want for our guests to experience during their stay in paradise. The ranch is rarely “left alone for guests to run” and states in the contract that it is a working ranch with 2 houses. Again, we are sorry for your disappointing stay with us.

Great getaway, central to many things

  • 5 of 5

This property is a good place to stay while visiting the area. It is close to many places in the area (Monterrey, San Juan Bautista, Salinas, Santa Cruz, Moss Landing) but a great getaway from the crowds. Prunedale has a Safeway, Starbucks, Gas stations, CVS so is easy to shop for your stay. We enjoyed our stay and would return if we are in the area.
