Was Great!

  • 5 of 5

It was exactly what we expected and worked out very well for what we needed. We grew up in the area and come back home for river trips. The house was great and the rooms were big. We cooked a lot and it was nice to have a big dining room too. I had a dog too, so it was perfect place to stay with her. Awesome yard to play games and so close to the boat launches for rafting. We would definitely stay again!

Relaxing and scenic weekend with friends

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I enjoyed a fun and relaxing weekend at the farmhouse in Barryville. During the day, we trekked up the hill to the Minisink battlefield, where we explored the historic site and engaged in friendly battles of our own (with snowballs). In the evening, we crossed the bridge to Lackawaxen for some local music at the town inn. With two feet of snow on the lawn outside the house, we cozied up to warm drinks in front of the wooden stove in the living room. Such a charming home, with a rustic feel but plenty of amenities. The area is beautiful and historic, an excellent retreat from NYC, and just two hours away. I'd recommend the place to any small-medium sized group looking for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Wonderful Weekend

  • 5 of 5

A group of seven celebrated our friends birthday and had an incredible stay in Barryville. Chuck was easy to reach, kind and very helpful. The house was in excellent condition and very cozy. We were greeted by snow on Saturday morning and enjoyed sledding and sipping hot cider on the porch. Was able to walk down the Delaware River on Sunday morning - a truly beautiful hike!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at the house over Memorial Day Weekend with 3 couples and our 4 month old. The house was in a great location - secluded enough for quality peace and quiet. It was directly across from the river with a great path to walk... all in all, I would recommend this vacation home to anyone looking to relax.
