About Chuck Danas

Chuck Danas is a Professional Photographer.

Chuck Danas purchased this chateau / country house in 2007

Why Chuck Danas chose Catskills

This home is peaceful and beautiful, especially in the spring and summer months. The grounds are fun to explore and there is plenty to see by just starting a hike right off the porch. The home is warm and inviting. Beds are comfy. Great retreat home for a group or couple!

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Our National bird, the Bald Eagle, can be seen right from the porch. The Roebling Bridge is a short walk from the house. And The battle of Minisink campground is just up the hill. Across the bridge is the Zane Grey Museum and boat launch. There is a cool nature path that you can walk under the bridge, too.

The house is old but is great for renting for a weekend. Definitely recommend!

  • 5 of 5

We had 10 guys staying to celebrate my brothers bachelor party and we had a great time! The house is old and a bit tight for 10 guys but we made it work. The porch is great and the house has lots of land for games though it is hard to find flat space. Fire pit is great and though the grill is old we were able to cook 12 NY strips to perfection! Overall this is a great house to rent for an outdoor vacation on the Deleware river!

Nice older home in rural area.

  • 4 of 5

The property was nice, and the house had a lot of charm. This is an older home so it is not for everyone but our family stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect for our needs. Went skiing at Big Bear, sledding right on property and overall had a good time.

Not very close to any night life or restaurants, but suited our needs just fine!

We had a wonderful time staying at your house. Kids enjoyed sledding in backyard and adults enjoyed skiing at local ski resort. Thank you for your hospitality!

Nice house, same about the upkeep

  • 4 of 5

We liked the house. Would be great for large groups instead of just the two of us as it has 4 bedrooms. Nice yard to walk around.

Downstairs shower was dirty so we didn't use it as we were sleeping in the downstairs bedroom all weekend.

Dining room chairs are stained. Living room needs cleaning as the carpet was dirty and found toy parts swept under it.

Water was hot in kitchen sick at first but rest of house had room temperature, at best. Last day I couldn't take a shower as the water was so cold.

We were there only 3 nights.

Shame as it is a loverly house and setting
