A delightful retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Glencoe Gable provided our family with an ideal base for a weekend of wedding festivities in and around Blackheath.

Each bedroom was tastefully decorated and delightfully cosy. Within an hour or so of arriving, the house was warm, thanks to the central heating.

The north facing rear garden was an absolute suntrap, ideal for a siesta or reading.

A delightful retreat!

Cosy cottage in Blackheath

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Glencoe Gable, a cosy cottage with lots of old charm in a quiet street. It has plenty of space for adults & children to hang out, and a great selection of books, games & movies and space to read. The beds were very comfortable, and the central heating kept the house nice and warm. We found the kitchen well equipped, and enjoyed dinner in front of a roaring pot belly stove. Soak up the serenity in the claw foot bath enjoying uninterrupted views of the garden.

Bushwalks are in a 5 minute walk from the house.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Glencoe Gable was thoroughly enjoyable. As the temperature plummeted for the first time in May we were relieved to discover how lovely and warming the central heating was! Of course we also enjoyed lighting the fire in the kitchen area. There was plenty of space for adults and children to enjoy together or apart. The owners were very thoughtful asking if we required the BBQ during our stay and ensured the gas bottle was filled. They also very kindly returned a treasured soft toy that got left behind - thank you!!

An exciting moment of our stay was the sighting of kangaroos in the field behind the house - we had discovered evidence of their presence so even better to actually get to see them! I'm sure we'll be back to stay some time soon.

Gorgeous, cosy and clean

  • 5 of 5

What an enjoyable stay at Glencoe Gable. 2 adults and 3 kids(12, 10, 8), the house was big enough for us all, yet cosy and super warm. Kids loved the backyard and the hoop on the garage. Loved the central heating, no work involved in lighting and stoking a fire to keep the house warm in the heart of winter. However did use the potbelly stove twice for the novelty of having a fire. House was clean, all beds comfy, fully equipped kitchen and just a top location for a week in the mountains at a most reasonable rate compared to other properties.Loved early morning walks around the neighbourhood before heading out on a new adventure each day. Glencoe Gable just has an awesome energy throughout the house. Wouldn't hesitate in coming back again. Thank you Roger.

Perfect weekend away

  • 5 of 5

Glencoe Gable is a fantastic place to stay whilst holidaying in the Blue Mountains. Everything you could have needed was provided, the house was warm, the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy. We very comfortably fitted 8 adults. I can highly recommend the house.
