This Japanese inspired timber home has a wall of floor to ceiling glass in the living area overlooking natural bush land. The enclosed garden area adds to the ambiance of this retreat for two. If tasteful simplicity and quality with a difference appeal to you, then Musk Creek Hollow will be to your liking. Located only a short seven minute drive from the centre of Daylesford, this property is both private and close to all the attractions that this beautiful region has to offer. Pet friendly, with a fully fenced internal garden, Musk Creek Hollow will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated.
This property captures a wonderful rustic Japanese aura. The long low building sits like a floating platform amidst the naturalistic landscaped garden. The structure's weathered, timber walls blend with the surrounds. The main expanse of the building, except for the glass walls on either side, has the open quality of a breezeway. This is the living space, barely separated from the Silver birches on one side & a sculptured Japanese styled garden on the other.
The cottage interior also has a naturally simple style. Smooth white wall and ceiling surfaces compliment elements of wood and glass. Carpet provides a quiet, soft texture underfoot. The focal point of the lounge area is a delightful wood burner. A big comfortable couch invites you to laze away the hours reading a favourite book or listening to a CD.

Amazing ! Warm and cosy :)
This place is amazing ! The view out the window is so mesmerising that I couldn't stop looking at it. It was so warm and cosy and we had everything we needed. Our pooch had a great time discovering the front yard and snoozing in front of the fire. The breakfast goodies were very welcome and it was great being close to Daylesford but not right in it. We look forward to staying here again one day soon.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay at Musk Creek Hollow. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you loved the view of the garden through the large floor to ceiling windows - I agree it's quite magical. I look forward to your return visit, maybe a Winter sojourn and if you're lucky you may even get some snow. Cheers, Martin
Cosy getaway with our dogs
Rustic on the outside but cosy and beautifully maintained on the inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Musk Creek Hollow, and the fenced yard for the fur babies was a big plus. Loved the wood fire, the view from the floor to ceiling windows and the well appointed kitchen.
Dear Chelsea, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I am really pleased that you enjoyed your few nights away in the country and that your fur babies also gave it the 'paws up!' The view through the floor to ceiling windows is one of my favourite things about the place too, especially when lounging on the couch with the wood fire blazing and a nice glass of red. Hope to see you back again soon. Cheers, Martin
A little treasure hidden away in the country.
The property was beautiful and tidy.
All the amenities that you need to have a self contained holiday are here.
Everything made for a most relaxing break from the city.
Thank you Martin

I can't speak highlyy enough of our stay at Musk Creek Hollow. Do yourself a favour a check in to this beautiful cottage, definitely a bargain and the owner has thought about all the little things that will make your stay worthwhile. Everything from fresh bread and egg's, plenty of firewood for the cold nights, a huge selection of DVDs and CDs to please everyone and so many little extras I would be here all day if I tried to mention them all! This place puts alot of 5star expensive hotels to shame. Can't wait to stay again. Thankyou Musk Creek Hollow!!

Perfect getaway for us and the fur baby!
Finding somewhere pet friendly that also ticks all the boxes for a couple getaway is very difficult, so this space was a great find!
Fully enclosed front yard made pet life much easier on us with a beagle who loves to explore and can’t be left unattended.
Incredible view, courtesy of the very impressive glass wall. Felt surrounded by nature, very relaxing, easily my favourite part of our stay!
Martin was very helpful, leaving provisions and a detailed guide to the area. Couldn’t have had a better experience.
Would love to return in the winter and catch some snow, the view would be spectacular!
