What a lovely home in an amazing location. Beautiful surrounding nature and a great fire pit out the front for a great fire setting. Thank you so much, can't wait till our next stay!

Owner's Response: I forgot to mention the awesome wildlife! Kangaroos bouncing away right past your window, beautiful cockatoos and rosellas eating bird seed right out of your hands, so many nature walks and wonderful cafe and shops right down the road. It was my fourth stay at Rocky Glen, and 5 really is not too far away.

The perfect base camp

  • 5 of 5

A spacious house with excellent facilities, Rocky Glen was the perfect house for our big group as we explored the National Park all day then cooked and relaxed at night. Would highly recommend to others wanting to do the same!

Happy and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

A lovely stay 2 adults, 3 young kids and a newborn. Everything we needed to cook and relax was provided. The kids loved jumping around the rocks outside and playing hide and seek. Air con worked perfectly after bushwalking on hot days. So many animals (kangaroo, emu, lizards, frogs and multiple birds) had the kids constantly entertained. Bunk beds were fantastic.

Had a few queries beforehand and they were answered precisely. Would definitely book again.

Mixed feelings

  • 4 of 5

I think the property is lovely but we stayed somewhere else in Halls Gap 12 months ago which suited us better. The kitchen is a great set up and there is plenty of room to move but there wasn't as much space to explore outside for young kids who are interested in nature. There was also an odd odour in the house I couldn't work out if it was musty and fresh air was just needed. We ran into a few issues which were not annoying enough to warrant calling to ask for help but we found that we had one night where we had no hot water it just switched off and wouldn't warm up again. We also couldn't cook on the BBQ as the hot plates never heated up. Apart from this we loved our time here and the house was great in many ways and would probably suit families with kids who are a bit more independent and use the home more as a home base between adventures.

Owner's Response: Hi Jess The issue with the hot water can be avoided by pressing the boost button on the power switch board, this heats water in about an hour, this is noted in the information emailed to you and if you had called us we could have simply helped you. In regard to the bbq the gas bottle was replaced only a few weeks ago and the bbq was working weekend before so not sure what issue was, we will get this looked . Disappointed you felt area outside was limited for exploring as families usually love this area with the rocks, creek area and plenty of birds & wildlife. I do hope you can come again maybe when the children are older and appreciate the surrounds
