LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
There is nothing better than being in the middle of Paris, where everything Parisian is within your easy reach. Your lovely apartment is situated on the Left Bank, just opposite Notre Dame Cathedral. This 17th century building is located in the oldest section of Paris, full of history at every turn.
Your apartment is conveniently located just steps away from Station St. Michel, which serves the Metro line 4 as well as the larger RER lines B and C.
Just imagine coming back to your quiet hideaway after a long day of sightseeing; and having time to put your feet up. After a bit of relaxation and a couple of glasses of French Wine, it is just an easy stroll to dinner. Your centrally located home-away-from-home makes this all possible.
At your Paris apartment, you are within walking distance of Notre Dame Cathedral, Hotel de Ville, Le Marais, Place de Vosges, Pompidou Center, Ile St. Louis, St. Michel, Jardin de Plants, Le Sorbonne, St. Germain, Sainte Chapelle, Latin Quarter, etc.
Your 1st floor apartment (2nd floor, by American system) with large windows was historically considered as the ''noble'' floor. When you open your front door, the entry hallway invites you to the living/dining room. The apartment's high ceilings still contain the original wooden beams, which is part of the charm/history of the building and the area. It also provides the perfect setting for the large woven tapestry on the wall behind the sofa. The convertible sofa was especially selected for the excellent firm mattress providing a comfortable sleep.
The dining area is composed of table that will seat 6 comfortably. The large built in bookshelves hold a good selection of reading material, including maps and tourist information.
The apartment has two large windows that open to enjoy the pedestrian only street below (rue de la Huchette) that is filled with interesting shops, boutiques, and restaurants.
Your kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for a simple breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails & hors d'oeuvres (or amuse-bouche), or something more substantial. This includes refrigerator, cook top, microwave, toaster oven, electric coffee maker, dishwasher, and a small European style washing machine.
The bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of storage. There is also a small folded IKEA cot that is ideal for a small child. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower, hair dryer, etc. All bed and bath linens are included.
Paris usually has fairly mild weather but just in case of a summer heat wave there is an air conditioner for the bedroom and also a portable fan in the living room, all for your comfort.
What you will get from us: We will work with you to provide answers to all your questions before you leave home, and will provide detailed instructions for getting to the apartment, regardless of your mode of transportation. Our mission is to give you the best experience possible, which will make your dream trip even more memorable.
We wanted to be right in the heart of Paris. This location coudn't be better.
We loved our Paris experience. The location of the apartment next to The Metro and across from Norte Dame was perfect. We could walk everywhere, and take the train to and from the airport. Take the elevator to street level and you are 1/2 block from your Paris home. The apartment is nicely appointed and has everything you will need for your stay. A very comfortable way to spend a few days or a few weeks. As someone mentioned, there is activity on the street below, but it never interfered with our stay. The bedroom is quiet and has a very comfortable bed. No noise at all. David welcomed us with some goodies for breakfast, and a bottle of wine for the evening. He explained everything, told us how to get around, recommended some places and restaurants, and was just extremely helpful. We communicated by text which made checking in and out a breeze. Thank you David. I hope to make another trip to Paris and stay here again.
Our recent stay at this apartment was great. David was there to greet us and walk us through the ins & outs of the apartment and offered a few recommendations for our stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable - and the shower had great pressure and was hot….a must for us. The only negative to this apartment was it's location right above some very active bars - which was rather loud until way past midnight. BUT, we were very contrally located, near Notre Dame, lots of restaurants and the metro. We would definitely stay there again - but we would bring earplugs:)
We loved our stay in Paris. David greeted us at the door and explained to place to us. There is a notebook for further help and info about the neighborhood. We feel very safe in the area, and also it is very close to public transport, as well as a taxi line. I highly recommend this place.
The large windows throughout the living room make even the cloudiest days in Paris seem full of light. My favorite place to stay while in Paris is on the left bank but I had never stayed in the Latin Quarter before. St. Michel is close to EVERYTHING, all in walking distance. As always, David was there to greet me, help carry my bags, stayed until he made sure the wifi and other electronics were working. The flat itself is very homey with all the amenities one could need while traveling. I would definitely stay here again!
This cozy and lovely apartment was a great find! It was an excellent central location with the house literally facing Notre Dame. The photos don't do this apartment justice. It's really nicely and comfortably decorated, with thick oriental rugs and tapestries. In terms of creature comforts, it has everything you might need -- including air conditioning, a dishwasher, and washing machine. The shower is hot and water pressure is good. The large windows face the bustling street behind the house so they make you feel that you are in the midst of all the action, yet at night when you want to sleep they magically block out all noise. We were met by David when we arrived and he left us a wonderful assortment of goods to start our trip, much appreciated! We loved it and hope to be back soon!
My 2 kids and I had a wonderful stay in David's apartment in Paris. It was comfortable and very well appointed, especially the washer/dryer! We stayed for 5 nights and loved being on Rue de la Huchette! Those who are not heavy sleepers should not sleep in the living room, but the bedroom is very quiet! I loved being in the heart of the Latin Quarter, but it is not for everyone. It is a party location and the soccer fans were having a good time in the bars below.
I would certainly stay in this apartment again! It was in the perfect location and with the air conditioning, was quiet enough for us!
David met us at the apartment and was very helpful. We ate on Rue de la Huchette most evenings and loved that the fancy ice cream shop was just below.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
