. Tariff includes servicing on departure and professionally prepared linen and towels. Guaranteed CLEAN accommodation with beds already made up.

. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, accommodating a maximum of 6 guests. There are TWO QUEEN ROOMS, ONE TWIN ROOM (that can be converted to a KING on request, small charge applies). All of the beds at Beachcomber are quality ensembles (mattress and base), there are NO bunk beds.

. We own our beach houses and PERSONALLY GUARANTEE the standard of accommodation we offer. We take pride in what we do.

. BEACHCOMBER has r/c air-conditioning (split system upstairs which is large enough to cool the whole home) with additional downstairs heating for winter and ceiling fans in all bedrooms to capture the ocean breezes.

. COOK up a gourmet meal in the fully appointed kitchen with MIELE dishwasher, new EUROPEAN APPLIANCES or the outdoor BBQ. There is even FILTERED WATER on tap.

. Don't feel like cooking? No problem! Stroll 50m to the famous FLYING FISH CAFE, enjoy a bistro meal at the PORT ELLIOT HOTEL, have fish and chips on the beach, or sample the delights of the many cafes, coffee shops and take away shops in PORT ELLIOT.

Pricing includes professionally prepared linen and towels and servicing on departure. We do guarantee that our Encounter Holiday Rental homes that we own and operate will be spotless on arrival.

We are happy to quote for off peak and family week long stays.

MINIMUM BOOKING

Most of the year 2 nights (incl linen for up to 6).

Long weekends 3 nights.

Easter 4 nights.

Summer school holidays 7 nights from 18 December.

Pet stays $30.00 per pet, maximum 2 pets due to council by laws, not available during the summer school holidays.

Conversion of twin beds into a king bed (perfect if 3 couples staying) $50.00.

SPECIALS

Best pricing starts from our off peak ROMANTIC GET A WAY. All incl for two nights- two guests twin share in the master bedroom, including linen and towels and servicing on departure.

(Please note: A baby under two using our port a cot in your bedroom stays free of charge. If two bedrooms are required for your romantic stay an additional charge applies). Romantic specials are generally subject to seasonal availability.

SECURITY BOND

A bond of $500.00 is required before arrival. Subject to approval this can be arranged by credit card as is done at Motels. If you prefer, the bond can be paid by cheque, money order or bank transfer and the funds are refunded to you after your successful post stay inspection/clean.

Middle range property.

We had a wonderful time, particularly because of proximity to beach and local shops. Accommodation is quite basic but very clean and comfortable. BBQ needs replacing.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and appreciation of the quality, cleanliness and location of the property for which you gave us 5 stars. I am not sure why you then rated our accommodation as basic and would like to know more. We offer spotless accommodation, on the beachfront with everything working and well maintained with linen provided by a professional linen service including starched linen and king sized towels. All of the beds are made up on arrival. All rooms are photographed on the listing and presumably were viewed prior to booking. The BBQ is completely functional and in working order. It does have some surface rust on the lid which is unavoidable on a beachfront property where the sea air is very corrosive. Please speak to us before booking if you have particular requirements. Our phones are on 24/7. We pride ourselves on our service and will do everything we can to give you the best holiday experience possible. Philip and Wendy Encounter Holiday Rentals.

Long Weekend Holiday

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend at Beachcomber. From our first enquiry Wendy and Philip were most helpful. The property's presentation was first class. It was attractively furnished with a lovely balcony complete with barbecue. Even thought it was the beginning of winter we breakfasted on the balcony each day as it was sheltered from the weather. Our arrival and finding the keys was very smooth. All in all we would recommend this property to any prospective holiday makers. Thanks Wendy and Philip.
