Peaceful and relaxing in a wonderful neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I enjoyed our stay! The cabin was warm and cozy with a beautiful gas fireplace and a wonder spa on the deck. There is plenty of room with a very open feel to the. Cabin. We would love to return with our children and grandchild in the near future!

Terrific place and great landlords

  • 5 of 5

We stayed the first week of January, 2017. Unlike some of the other

reviewers, our dilemma was not too little snow, but too much. There

were times that we were snowbound, a rare occurence that other renters

of any house this time of year might need consider. That said, the

house itself was terrific, the views of several feet of fresh fallen

snow were fantastic and ``magical'', our own hill behind the house to sled

on, a functioning hot tub, lots of room, a blazing fast internet,

pleasant neighbors, clean, well lit, and warm. A private service came

and removed snow when it got too deep on the stairs (though we

shoveled too). The house was immaculate when we arrived and Christmas

lights were burning. Kathy Winkelman was a terrific (remote) host

and answered all our questions and gave advice by e-mail on a daily

basis. We strongly advise anyone visiting Lake Tahoe to stay here if

they can.

Owner's Response: Thankyou for your encouragement. Mother Nature has a schedule of her own and because we raised our family of three sons here the house is pretty equipped for these types of days and why we love the location. But I commend you and your family for being adventurous and meeting the challenge. Please come again and enjoy the sun and the beautiful Lake. You can adventure on the stand up paddle boards.

A cozy cabin in a great location

  • 4 of 5

The property was quaint, comfortable, and well outfitted. The owners were very helpful and always responded within a few minutes of us reaching out to them. The cabin is in a great location backed up against a nature preserve with plenty of surrounding wilderness yet only a few minutes drive to great amenities in South Lake Tahoe. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a mountain getaway.

Great Cabin!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I was in this cabin from Dec 17-19th. Only down fall about this property is that it's a 2 story and we had to carry all of our luggages and things we brought to cook with up to the cabin. It's a lot of work to walk everything up to the cabin. Garage was excluded for us to use. But other than that it's a very nice property. No snow for us so we had to drive out to the find some for the kids. The kids love the attic! Everything was kept nice and clean so we did enjoyed the stay.

Owner's Response: Hi and happy you enjoyed your stay. Though the pictures show the stairs it is good that your note reminds us to mention that. It is a mountain home and though the beauty of the location is special it is also not as convenient as some may want. Hope to see you again in the summertime. Kathy
