About Kim Lee

For many years our extended Lee family had a cozy cabin in Fish Lake, UT. Built in 1950 under the direction of my late Grandfather (and namesake) Thomas Wilson Lee, it became an endeared part of the lives of Grandpa and Grandma Lee, their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Nestled and hidden within a grove of pine trees, the cabin was given the very appropriate name of 'Pleasant Pines'. Unfortunately some years ago for a variety of reasons, my Dad, Uncles and Aunt had to make the difficult decision to sell the cabin. Since then our family has had to begin new traditions, but in the process we've had the opportunity in our travels to see and explore more of what our great state of Utah has to offer. One destination we found ourselves returning to time and time again was St. George. Whether to run the marathon or other races, visit nearby national and state parks, or just as a midway point on our way to Southern California, we enjoyed making visits to Utah's Dixie multiple times throughout the year. So when the opportunity came for us to purchase a condo at Sports Village, we jumped at the chance and have since been thoroughly enjoying our frequent getaway excursions to sunny St. George and our home-away-from-home. In hindsight, the name 'Pleasant Palms' is the perfect and maybe obvious choice for our new family retreat. However to give credit where it is due I must give my brother Steven the kudos for first suggesting the name. As much as we enjoy going to the condo, life in the real world means we can't go as often as we would like. But we figured our loss might as well be someone else's gain, so we made the decision to rent out the condo during those times when we aren't there. We look forward to many years of enjoyment and memories with family and friends at Pleasant Palms. We also look forward to making new friends among our guests and will do all that we can to make your stay at Pleasant Palms a wonderful experience!

5/18/2013: Happy Spring Fling! Thank you for letting us have a relaxing girl's weekend. This is a beautiful condo with so many different activities to do. We have been able to enjoy it all. Thank you! 5/28/2013: We were in St George for a family reunion and decided to try renting a condo instead of 2 hotel rooms. Definitely the right decision. Your place was wonderful! Lots of room for our family and plenty of fun things to do at the clubhouse. We will be back - THANKS! 6/1/2013: You have a lovely condo and it met all of our needs. It's so nice to spend a vacation where we can enjoy all the comforts of home! Thank you- we hope to make this place a vacation destination again. 6/8/2013: Thank you so much for letting us stay at this beautiful condo of yours. This will be a "Priest trip" the boys will be talking about for a while. This place was perfect for 5 rambunctious young men and us leaders as well. I am pretty sure we did and touched everything there was to do and see here at Sports Village. Very fun condo. I will be coming back with the family next time. 6/15/2013: What an amazing trip this was! Your place is beautiful I especially loved the upstairs area. My boyfriend proposed to me on the top of Angel's Landing! This nice vacation will be one I'll never forget. We definitely want to come back soon! 7/1/2013: We have been coming to St George for a week every year for about 10 years now. We love it. We've stayed here 3 or 4 times and it's great. Kids played a ton at the Sports Village. Location for getting around St. George was easy. Access to I-15 close by. Clean, friendly. Would stay here again and again.

clean, spacious, outdated

The sports village property as a whole is the enticing part bc the kids love all the different activities and stay completely entertained. The club house and grounds could use some better upkeeping and updates but for the price, you really can't beat it.The condo itself was clean and spacious with the amnetities that we needed. The furniture was old and outdated for the most part.The beds have got to be as old as the condo itself, they were very uncomfortable but there were enough to fit our family so that was a bonus I guess (6 of us). 2 Nice flat screen tv's, beach towels provided and washer/dryer. Appreciatesd good internet service.

Owner's Response: Thanks for being great guests and we appreciate your feedback. As you mentioned Sports Village has been around for while and although we've updated many things since we purchased this condo just over 7 years (wish you could see photos of what it looked like when we bought it, everything including the carpet was bright red and blue!!), we still have some work to do. We're a little confused about the old/outdated furniture comment since we've updated all our couches/sofas/chairs and kitchen/dining tables within the past 5 years or so. Also recently updated the showers/tub. Perhaps you are referring to the bedroom dresser/drawers which although are in good working order, are certainly not the latest style. Our apologies that the beds were uncomfortable for you. We have plans for new mattresses for all the beds soon once the busy spring season winds down. Perhaps we should have replaced them earlier but since they've seemed fine to our family when we stay and since we received very few complains we hadn't worried about that before. I suppose everyone has different tastes in regards to how firm vs soft they like their bed and our family is probably more used to firmer mattresses. But at any rate we WILL be replacing the mattresses very soon and hopefully we can fine a happy medium that will be comfortable for the majority of our family and friends/guests. Thanks again for staying with us and hope you'll consider us again in the future! FOLLOW UP 4/22/2017: We're happy to report we have replaced all 3 of the mattresses with the latest and greatest (at least according to the salesman :)), so hopefully any sleeping woes related to the older mattresses are long gone!

Very comfortable and clean

We had 9 people, 5 of which were kids. There were beds for 6 of us and futon pads for the rest. Normally there is a sofa bed for another two but it was broken and the owner contacted us to let us know and provided extra futon pads. Our kids slept well on the futon pads. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking our meals. The clubhouse and pools were so fun. We spent a lot of time just playing there. The condo had pool towels and toys we could use. There were board games and a tv with cable and DVD player. There is a mountain biking trail just at the end of the road. Really a great place, no complaints. Owner was VERY good to work with. We would definitely come back here.

Adequate, but well used!

We had a good time staying in St. George. The condo had plenty of space and was well stocked with everything we needed. Great location to get to everything we wanted to do. It was fairly clean when we arrived, although the carpet looked as though it needed vacuuming. A few things in the condo could be updated, i.e.;' clothes washer sounded like it was going to fall apart, master bedroom bed was not very comfortable and some activities at the club house/pool didn't work or were broken. But we love St. George and I'm sure we'll travel back there again.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for the feedback. We're happy you enjoyed your stay in St George and our apologies for any items that didn't meet your expectations. We're not quite sure what to think about the carpet/vacuuming as we've never had anyone mention that before. What we're thinking is that we had someone go into the condo right after it had been cleaned/vacuumed to retrieve a lost/forgotten item which likely left some footprints remaining in the carpet when you arrived. Also we do have new mattresses for all the beds on our list for update during this year. That one is always tricky since we know some folks like a softer mattress while others like something more firm. Hopefully we can find a happy medium that is comfortable for most everyone. And thanks for the heads up on the washer, we'll have that looked at asap as well as inform our HOA about the broken items in the clubhouse. Thanks again!
