About the property

Bermagui is a small seaside town with an excellent year round temperate climate. It is the home of deep sea game fishing made famous by Zane Grey and the unspoiled beauty of its waterways and beaches is renowned as are the hinterland forests for days away from the sea. Now the beginning of Australia's Coastal Wilderness sites.

Bermagui has most facilities and they are open 7 days a week year round. If needed, the owners will organise delivery of wonderful oysters & local produce to your door. There is an excellent 18 hole golf course, & Moorhen Cove stayers are offered special discounts for their rounds of golf. There are also bowling, tennis and croquet clubs as well as a Surf Lifesaving Club & in 2007 a new Mountain Bike Track.

Bermagui has a thriving cultural sector with its Four Winds concert -- every even numbered Easter at a world class setting. Follow link to Four Winds. There is an adjoining Pavilion which stages world class acts and events which appeal to a variety of audiences.

Bermagui's Visitor Centre boasts its friendly informative staff and excellent information. You will find classes in yoga, pilates, paddle boarding, surfing, tennis, golf and bowls.

Bermagui also boasts that it is close to Canberra, ski fields, galleries, art & music so there is a variety of attractions close at hand.

The Interior

The mid floor living and dining area has uninterrupted northerly views over the wetlands and beaches plus nearby Mt Dromedary or Gulaga (the aboriginal name). Swans nest on the lagoons and wetlands and a large variety of eagles and local birds including pelicans, hunt and nest in the area.

The kitchen has the latest in Smeg appliances with a gas cooking top, electric oven and micro wave. There are coffee plungers, stove top coffee maker, electric pod machine with supplied pods to make you feel at home. We supply all basic groceries, ie pepper, salt, oils, vinegar, sugar, tea and of course our famous starter pack and wine.

The decor is very relaxing and comfortable with suede covered 3 piece sofa and chairs, coffee tables, dining suite and outdoor furniture. There is a television and music system.

There are 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom is upstairs with a view over the bird sanctuary and beaches. It also has an en suite bathroom with spa. All bathrooms have heated floors

The lower bedrooms have heated flooring and open onto the gardens planted with Australian native plants and the adjoining bird sanctuary

The Exterior

The Exterior and approaches have double garages plus additional parking and there is additional visitor parking for cars and small boats.

The landscaped gardens feature native Australian plants specially chosen to blend with the adjoining wetlands and beach vista.

The solar heated swimming pool also features hydrotherapy jets and spa jets for added relaxation and fitness.

There is a direct walking access from the front gardens to Moorhead Beach only 200 metres away from the edge of the property.

Also within walking distance, are a small supermarket and newsagency, an excellent fresh fruit and vegetable shop, a gift shop and coffee shop/cafe. The doctor, the vet and a café are all within walking distance.

Beautiful, relaxing vacation property

Lovely property for a getaway with friends, gorgeous views and a short walk from the beach and into town. The property has plenty of sun and we spent a beautiful morning lazing on the deck.

Rosemary was a fantastic host and the property was easy to find. Overall a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend this property for family and friends.

Hidden Gem

Bermagui is a hidden gem and an ideal location for a family holiday. The unit is located within a few minutes walk to the beach and shops and overlooks a natural wetland. Presents beautifully and contains everything needed for self-contained living. Owners are most welcoming. This was our second stay. We will be back.

Perfect Holiday Rental

Beautiful and spacious townhouse style apartment within a few minutes walk of the beach and shops. Overlooks wetland with plentiful bird life (including a pair of swans and their 5 cygnets during our visit). Bedrooms are well separated so the kids have their own space. Very tastefully appointed and contains all the essentials. Friendly owners.
