Guests staying in 2016: We had a fantastic relaxing time in Daylesford. Will definitely come back. And ruby's cottage was just beautiful

Guests staying in 2016: Absolutely loved it!

Guests staying in 2015: Thank you so much, Ruby's Amethyst cottage was absolutely beautiful! The hamper was a nice touch and the Ned Kelly fire warmed the place wonderfully.

Guests staying in 2015: Ruby's cottage was perfect, every little detail taken care of. Thank you!

Guests staying in 2015: One of the best we have stayed in. Pleasing décor, gorgeous setting, quiet, private and extremely comfortable. I found myself relaxing straight away-truly a home away from home! I knew there would be a hamper of goodies but it was more luxurious than I expected-a much appreciated touch.

Guests staying in April 2014: Great place to relax and unwind....will be back for sure :)

Guests staying in December 2013: Overall a very enjoyable stay - thank you!

Guests staying in November 2013: Everything was perfect have no complaints!

Guests staying in November 2013: What a fabulous place for two to 'bunk-down' in Daylesford. Rubys Amethyst Cottage is delightful and secluded accommodation. Preparing breakfast surrounded by garden greenery, watching stars at night, waking to the golden sun slowly streaming in through the windows - and, yet so near to great restaurants, shops, the museum. galleries, botanic gardens, spas, sights etc. We had a lovely evening 'curled-up' with the wine, great coffee & caramel Tim Tams! My only "complaint?" - we ONLY stayed 4 nights.

perfect little hideaway

  • 5 of 5

For a relaxation, do not much, weekend away this little cottage was perfect.

If it was raining I'd hardly move from the loft bedroom, maybe only for another spa. The gardens give privacy and the feeling of truly being away from the madness. Thank you.

Rubys amethyst cottage

We incredibly enjoyed our stay, although someone did scare us and knock on our bathroom window in the middle of the night when I was in the bathroom. Other than that, was a beautiful stay and would love to come again soon. My partner loved the fireplace as much as I did as well as the spa. Phenomenal weather during our stay. Loved it!

The spa bath is great. The fire place is ready to be used, the BBQ is very clean and new. The overall property is very clean. Me and my wife are really happy with this property. It was a beautiful birthday treat for my wife.

Great affordable stay!

  • 4 of 5

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights during the week and it was very exceptional for the price we paid. We loved the spa with the shower head above and how it looked out onto the trees. The place was always warm and cosy and a bonus that it was only a 5 minute walking distance to the shops. During our stay we saw Trentham Falls and Hanging Rock and even went out the further distance to go see Ballarat. The only issues we encountered was that the bbq wasn't clean when we arrived there so we didn't bother using that during our stay and my partner is very tall and the couch unfortunately was very tiny and uncomfortable for him to sit or ly down on to watch television.
