Sea Dreamin’ at Byron looks out over Tallow/Dolphin Beach & The Pacific Ocean 🏄
About Steve Best
I designed Sea Dreamin’ at Byron based on a Qld’er style which exudes calm, relaxation and comfort with all the modern amenities.
Steve Best purchased this Townhome in 1998
Why Steve Best chose Byron Bay
Came through Byron on a surfing trip in the late 60’s to Angourie and soon realised that Byron Bay was the town for me.
What makes this Townhome unique
Fantastic ocean views right down the coast to Broken Head with hinterlandviews on the street side as well as another water view across Arawak National Park to The Bay and JulianRocks. The hardwood floorboards were re-milled from the Tenerriffe Wharves in Brisbane are a feature at 230mm wide and 35mm thick.

Great spot - lovely views and plenty of decks to relax on.
Very comfortable beds - had most of what we needed for a 10 day stay - great views - can see and hear the ocean from two balconies and two bedrooms - lovely. Nice area, quiet.
The perfect getaway
Wow. This place, is special. What a view! Walking distance to everything you would want to see in Byron Bay (the walk to the lighthouse is worth it!). Steve's place was just perfect for those looking for a chilled out getaway to relax. The amenities are top notch, there's plenty of room, the house is beautiful in itself, and the views are as good as you will find in all of Byron Bay. I've already recommended Steve's place to friends, and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a place to spend some time in Byron Bay. Thanks again for having us!
An awesome property that offers the Byron Bay vibe from the moment you walk through the door. Spectactular views of the ocean from the living, dining and master bedroom. We watched the whales from our bedroom balcony, which was an experience in itself. Very clean, tidy and well equipped. Highly recommend this property and we will definately stay here again when next in Bryon. Thank you!
Hi Sandy, Debra and I are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Sea Dreamin' at Byron and we hope to greet you again next time you come to Byron Bay. cheers Steve
Better than advertised!
We had such a great time! Beautiful place with amazing views. It was lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and the fireplace was excellent for a rainy weekend! Very close to town ($10 taxi) and easy walking distance to a beautiful endless beach. I hope we can stay again soon!
Our family of six adults loved staying here. A relaxed beach house with a fabulous outlook across the national park to the ocean. We have normally stayed closer to the centre of town but we all agreed we'd come back here again. It's a 10 minute bush track to tallow beach which was great for early morning walks, a 20 minute walk to Clarkes beach and a couple of steps to a banana lounge on the back deck where you can sit and read a book with stunning views of the ocean. You would probably want to have a car if you stayed here unless you are very energetic. the house is well equipped for self catering and the decks on either side of the house means you can always catch a breeze or chase thesun or shade .
Unfortunately, I felt very uncomfortable in this place, mainly due to the fact that I thought it was a stand alone residence, but it was half house and owners were on other side of wall. Maybe it is just me, or I miss read the description, But town house/ apartment home, to me means separate property. However, it was lovely, the owners did not bother us, but we only stayed one night out of three, my choice.
Good morning Mary, Sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at Sea Dreamin' at Byron. I live in a townhouse in Brisbane (when not in Byron) and I have neighbours on the other side of the wall as is the case in Byron and I thought that was quite normal. As with townhouse there is garden and yard spaces on three sides and is quite private. You would have noticed that I have not used a wide lense camera for any of the photos as is the case at a lot of places not only in Byron but around the world. I try to keep photos and descriptions of the abode as true as is possible but in some rare instances guests only skim over details. I do hope though that you enjoyed your stay in Byron wherever it was you finished your holiday. cheers Steve and Debra
