A slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful cottage, and the owners supplied breakfast and a bottle of wine. Delightful to wake up to chirping birds and kangaroos out in the fields. Breathtaking views across to Wombat Forest. Roco the greyhound had the best holiday of his life! We can't wait to return.

True "dog friendly" stay

  • 4 of 5

Loved the space and ambiance. Was a little smaller than I expected it to be: it really is a studio/cottage so something to keep in mind if you have a bigger dog. But it was gorgeous none the less and with excellent facilities and lovely hosts. Would have been nice to have a small fences in yard straight off the small balcony for the dog - he just desperately wanted to be outside the whole time but it was too cold for us!

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. I note your point regarding a potential fence around the Stoney but we decided against this idea. As there are kangaroos and other wildlife in the area, we find that it's safest for dogs to be supervised when outside. Our two-bedroom Cottage has an elevated, fenced balcony for dogs that want to be outside.

Dreamy little Stoney

Great spot for a you and the dogo. Heaps of good walking tracks and the cottage it self couldn't have been better. everything you need. We didn't need to go out, just cooked there and enjoyed the fire with a classic dvd. Ali Also very accommodating, Even got to feed the sheep.

Such a well thought out place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a lovely time staying at the Hollow Log Estate. We wished we could have stayed longer. We escaped for a weekend without the kids but with the dog which was a nice treat. It's a great place to relax and unwind and had we not forgotten the toothpaste we wouldn't have left the accommodation all weekend. There's a paddock especially set-up for dogs and there's a great little walk to do in the nearby Wombat State Forest. I loved that everything was well thought out: kitchen, pantry and dog wise. We'll be back.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. We're so glad you enjoyed your weekend away. If only you'd mentioned the toothpaste! I keep some spare.
