Condo Del Mar, A Unique Condominium Experience by the Sea
Imagine entering your luxurious vacation home away from home completely furnished with everything to make your stay incredible and have the refrigerator and pantry already stocked with the items you have selected in advance. . No need to spend your time shopping, it's done for you so you can spend your vacation like you are supposed to. Then, for that first meal after a day of traveling, enjoy an already prepared dinner on the deck as you watch the sun drop serenely into the Pacific. The next morning, your personal van picks you up at the door and takes you directly to the best sport fishing boat in the harbor, The Frenzy, and you're off for an incredible day of fishing for Marlin and Sailfish or maybe you stay inshore for Roosterfish. If fishing is not your thing, the van instead takes you to one of many eco-touring spots of the area or you try the zip-line canopy tours or white water rafting.
Maybe you just want to relax the first day and have an in-home massage and laze by the pool.
Casa El Mar is the most unique vacation rental condominium located in the incredible beauty of the Manuel Antonio area. It has optional features not found in a typical condominium such as a full time maid, the pre-vacation food and beverage service and a full time concierge manager that will give you 5 star service from the moment of your arrival. This spacious 3-bedroom penthouse has the best ocean views of the entire complex. Now open on the same property is a fine dining restaurant and a full service cocktail and pool bar, to compliment the large pool with a spacious sun deck overlooking the ocean.
There are nature trails adjoining the property where you can hike and observe monkeys, sloths, butterflies and other features of the tropical rainforest. It is just a short walk to Bisanz beach.
This small beach doesn't have the crowds of the larger Manuel Antonio Beach and offers snorkeling, kayaking and swimming. For those a little more adventurous you can walk by beach all the way to Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica's most popular National Park and for good reason.
Come and enjoy this unique condominium experience and prepare to be pampered!
Fabulous, clean, well apportioned condominium. Excellent location. Condo manager available
and very helpful. Onsite security guard. Reccomend without reservation.
This is an amazing property. The first thing to mention is the stunning ocean views from the family room and each of the three bedrooms. The location will never disappoint. The condo was well equipped and the owners Kerwin and Lisa were very responsive when setting up the reservations and answered all questions. There is a local manager Willy who will help with arranging any tours you want to enjoy, such as fishing etc. We caught fish one day (4 Spanish Mackerel) and brought it to a local restaurant (La Luna) for their preparation. They made ceviche with it and also grilled the rest. It was the best meal we had there. Just amazing and La Luna has a great location with views. There was plenty of fish left which we prepared in the condo for tacos the next evening. We had a party of eight and the condo was plenty big for us all. The only problem we had was water pressure at times, but whenever we reported it, it was fixed after a few minutes. I would easily stay here again as it is one of the most beautiful locations for a hotel I ever stayed at. Oh and concerning wildlife, we saw a couple monkeys and sloths near the hotel and during our 5 minute walk downhill to the local beach. It was a great little beach, but the water wasn't too clear for snorkeling, although I saw some fish near the rocks, but as mentioned clarity is lacking there. Take a trip 30 mins south to Dominical and head inland to the Nauyaca waterfalls. You can hike in or take horseback. It is worth it. Horseback ride is only $70 US per person and includes a breakfast and lunch midway in both directions. Horses were very nice and well kept. We didn't see too much wildlife on that trip, but if you head into Manuel Antonio State Park, you will see plenty there. We saw 3 monkey types, a coati, iquanas, peccary, vine snake and pesky raccoons that will snatch your food from your bags right next to you. This time of year (with locals on vacation too) the park is very busy and be prepared to be around some crowds. This place will not disappoint! Last comment, the restaurant at the hotel is good, but is a bit pricey. Better options are out and about nearby concerning pricing.
Our family of 3 just returned from 4 nights at this beautiful condo and I will start by saying we will rent it again in a heartbeat. It was wonderful but it came with a couple of negatives, (mostly worth mentioning because at almost $400/night, I feel like I need to mention them).
The location is perfection. Within walking distance to a beautiful beach, 10 minutes to downtown MA, 10 minutes to Quepos. We've been visiting MA for 10 years and love this location. The view from the condo was amazing.
The condo was so large, well appointed and better than the pictures. We didn't need a single thing. The pool was wonderful, the restaurant food was good and it was nice to have that restaurant on site. The staff was very friendly. We even had a monkey visit at breakfast to steal our sugar off the table in the restaurant. So fun.
Willy was nice. He was very quiet and did his job by basically just dropping off the keys to us and showing us around very quickly. He requested we come early to check in because he had something to do in the afternoon. That was fine with us!
The AC in the main living room broke within 3 hours of our arrival. It was heavily dripping water all over. I had texted Willy to alert him. He responded and said he would be there at 4:30pm. At 5:40 he hadn't arrived so I just text him a picture so he could see it soaked through 2 towels and asked him what to do. He then came over and turned off the unit, said someone would come the next day while we were out. That never happened but he called and said someone would be there the next day after. We declined because we wanted to relax in the condo without workers there. The ACs in the master and 2nd bedroom were also not working but we're not leaking. They just blew warm air.
Thankfully, it never got to the point where it felt very hot and we were fine but I felt like I was bothering the property manager by bringing it to his attention.
The relationship between the hotel and these condos seems odd. The hotel guests get breakfast included in their (cheaper) rate but it's $12 per person for the condo renters which is odd to me. The food was overpriced in general but that seems to be common now in MA. The hotel spa was an awful experience and I don't recommend the services there. I cannot fault the condo owner for this of course but if you plan to have a spa day, check out another spa.
Thankful to have found this place but just had a couple bumps!
Our family of five stayed at this awesome condo for four nights, and everyone wished we could have stayed longer! Beautiful views, huge master suite, upscale furnishings and comfortable beds - we have three teens, and there was plenty of room for everyone - it was awesome. Pool is nice and was quiet while we were there, there is a lovely alfresco restaurant on site, it is walking distance to a small beach and just a short drive to the national park and public beach at Manuel Antonio. There are several fun/interesting restaurants in the area, and it's also a short drive to Quepos where we enjoyed an awesome full-day paddleboard/waterfall adventure with Paddle9 (highly recommended as well - great fun).
The owners of this beautiful condo were responsive and helpful, and we would definitely stay at Condo Del Mar again!! Loved it!!
The condo is in a beautiful location and it is the closest property to Playa Biesanz and close to Manuel Antonio National park as well as downtown Manuel Antonio. The view is beautiful as shown and the pool area at the attached hotel is lovely. The space is very large, especially the master suite. We did have a visitor or last day with a white-faced Capuchin hopping on to the master balcony.
There were two problems we had with the condo. One was that there was a huge party at the hotel outside by the pool. It was a weekend night but the music started at 6-7 pm and did not end until after 1 am. It was very loud with an explosion of drums at around 11 pm and we did not sleep much that night.
The second issue is that the owner requests that you do not turn the air down so we froze while indoors.
We did have an issue with the hot water but the manager was easy to reach and help us figure it out quickly. The shower in the last bedroom was not working when we stayed there. The water pressure was poor but we stayed in 3 different places in Costa Rica for our trip and the water was a trickle everywhere.
Beautiful condo. Space for the whole family. Relaxing pool to come home to after an active day in Costa Rica!
Owner very easy to work with.
Thanks for a great stay.
