Overview

Lake Oconee House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

This is a perfect getaway from the city for a weekend retreat or week long vacation or longer. There is a large dock and seawall in the cove swimming area and a large grassy yard for games and running around. Jacuzzi Hot Tub, nice patio and screened in porch to enjoy the outside.

Heavily wooded on three sides to offer a lot of privacy.

Beautiful stone fireplace in the great room and a firepit in the yard in an open area so no dangers. Everything provided and all you have to do is bring yourselves and good company.

Large great room, fully remodeled kitchen, fully stocked silverware, DVD Player, Satellite TV (including DirecTV sports package to not miss out on the games you want to watch), wireless internet, dishes, glassware, toaster, other small appliances, etc. Pull out couch, recliner, love seat...very open great room for party atmosphere or gathering of family. Washer / Dryer in laundry room.

Exceptional Price. This is the lake house my family uses some weeks as well so we rent for cheap instead of staying vacant and thus you can be the winner with a cost effective place to stay that is on the water and very nice.

For more pictures click near the bottom under links for more information. You can also send me an email and I will email you the Picasa Web Gallery of 30 more pictures.

Call me anytime.

PS - This is not the area of Atlanta known as Buckhead and is indeed an hour east of downtown Atlanta since some inquiries get confused.

Thanks! Greg

About Greg Goslin

My family grew up always having a lake house and my wife grew up on the Gulf COast of Florida so having a place for us to be on the water was important to us.

Greg Goslin purchased this house in 2006

Why Greg Goslin chose Lake Oconee

We bought this home because it was in the perfect part of the lake in the nice clean water and we have the ability to get to the Ritz by boat or car in short time. We liked being in a little finger off the lake for fishing and kids to swim without boats and waves going by. The yard is great with a fire pit in the middle for marshmallows and late nights relaxing around the fire. It is so peaceful at Oconee in a seasons and a great retreat for us to get away from Atlanta. We have enjoyed so many good times at Lake Oconee with family and friends...plus we are able to help many other families make great memories.

What makes this house unique

Reynolds Plantation 10 min. away', Marina with jet ski and pontoon boat rental 5 min. away', Movie theater, restaurants, Publix Supermarket, and many other things just 10 min. away. Public boat ramp about 1 mile away.

Very nice house at reasonable price!

  • 5 of 5

Me and a group of friends stayed here for a weekend and had a great time. House is very nice and clean. The yard is plenty big enough to go outside and enjoy it especially with the hot tub out there. There's also a screened in patio to keep the mosquitoes off of you. Greg, the owner, was very fast in responding to any questions I had and did everything he could to ensure we had a great time and got the most out of our stay at his house. If you're looking for a nice house to rent for a weekend getaway that reasonably priced, this is it!

Wonderfully, relaxing setting!

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at this cabin because of the handicap access. For that purpose, it worked great! The entrance didn't have steps and maneuvering in the house was easy with the wheelchair. The setting is beautiful, and the cabin is nestled in the trees.

I'm sure this is a great cabin for families in the summer. The access to the lake is quick, but somewhat private inlet.

We had a few problems with the TV reception, but other than that it worked well for our visit.

Girls Weekend :) Very Nice!

  • 4 of 5

I hosted a bachelorette weekend here for my soon to be sister-in-law. The weather was dreary and misty but we did have a good time. We spent most of our time inside talking and relaxing, playing games, and watching movies. The house was very clean and the owner is very detailed in making sure you know everything that you need to. He is also very available if you have questions or problems via email/phone. There are towels available for guest use but no washcloths. I assumed that they came with the towels, but that's my fault. BRING YOUR OWN! :) We ate at INAHO sushi and japanese restaurant about 10 miles away and it was delicious! I can imagine coming back here again with family or friends. Hopefully there will be more sunshine.

Great weekend for our family!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful weekend retreat for two grand children's birthdays! This home was perfect for all of us (5 adults and 3 children). The oldest child just turned 7 and he loved the twin bed in the walk-in closet. We rented a jet ski for a couple of hours at the nearby Marina and everyone had fun taking turns riding. We made s'mores at night at the fire pit and enjoyed watching for shooting stars. We were able to swim in the quiet cove off the dock and also had fun fishing too. This place was absolutely perfect. We hope we can come back again soon! Thanks Greg.

Great stay!

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay here at this house. It was just right for the 4 of us- peaceful and quiet. It was the best deal price-wise we found of any of the other homes for rent. We had a little bit of a mix-up when we arrived, but I called Greg and he was very kind and easy to work with to get the issue cleared away. Overall, a great stay!
