Heavily wooded on three sides to offer a lot of privacy.

Beautiful stone fireplace in the great room and a firepit in the yard in an open area so no dangers. Everything provided and all you have to do is bring yourselves and good company.

Large great room, fully remodeled kitchen, fully stocked silverware, DVD Player, DirecTV, wireless internet, dishes, glassware, toaster, other small appliances, etc. Pull out couch, recliner, love seat...very open great room for party atmosphere or gathering of family. Exceptional Price. This is the lake house my family uses some weeks as well so we rent for cheap instead of staying vacant and thus you can be the winner with a cost effective place to stay that is on the water and very nice.

PS - This is not the area of Atlanta known as Buckhead and is indeed an hour east of downtown Atlanta since some inquiries get confused.

Thanks! Greg

About Greg Goslin

My family grew up always having a lake house and having a retreat on the water has become important to me now with my family but we also share it with others.

Greg Goslin purchased this house in 2006

Why Greg Goslin chose Eatonton

We bought this home because it was in the perfect part of the lake in the nice clean water and we have the ability to get to the Ritz by boat or car in short time. We liked being in a little finger off the lake for fishing and kids to swim without boats and waves going by. The yard is great with a fire pit in the middle for marshmallows and late nights relaxing around the fire. It is so peaceful at Oconee in a seasons and a great retreat for us to get away from Atlanta. We have enjoyed so many good times at Lake Oconee with family and we are able to help many other families make great memories.

What makes this house unique

Reynolds Plantation 10 min. away', Marina with jet ski and pontoon boat rental 10 min. away', Movie theater, restaurants, Publix Supermarket, and many other things just 10 min. away. Public boat ramp about 1 mile away.

Quiet Fishing Cove

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this lovely house. The quiet cove makes for a perfect place to relax on the dock with a book. The property owner Greg was so easy to work with and was really accommodating. If you are looking for a peaceful place to unwind, this is it!

Peaceful and Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

I wanted a more secluded and serene setting for an extended weekend getaway and I got just that! Plenty of room in the house and even more in the backyard - from the hot tub to the fire pit, all the way down to the dock for swimming and fishing!

Quiet and relaxing with great lake access

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the quietness of the location, and the layout of the house. It was a little too warm to enjoy the fire pit, but I'll bet it's very nice in the fall. The dock was smaller than I expected, but it was enough for us. It was very close to deep water and was in a relatively quiet spot on the lake. Greg was awesome! He checked on us, but was not intrusive and very pleasant to deal with. I will make sure to check on this house the next time my family and I go to the lake. Thank you Greg.

It was okay, but not great.

  • 2 of 5

The house was dark and window treatments were rather strange, but it had the basic things you needed except trash bags and a cookie sheet or other flat pan. You couldn't see the lake from house except for a tiny finger of a cove. Couldn't see much from the dock. You had to swim out to get a good lake view. Had a nice yard. All in all, it was adequate, but I was not impressed with it.

Owner's Response: Deborah Thank you for the opportunity to always improve and sorry that the weather was not good for your stay. I actually just put new curtains up this past week. My wife likes the rich brown curtain color of curtains. She really likes the new ones. There was an entire case of trash bags and the cleaners leaves several under the sink of what she thinks will be needed but I definitely would have told you where they are stored if I knew you were out. I apologize about that. There were two cookie sheets there and with you sharing they are no longer there I have ordered 2 more this morning on amazon to be delivered on Thursday before the next guests arrive. I try to be extremely responsive. Indeed we love the huge flat yard to run and play games. We traded that for deep water views from the house but I have pictures of both from the house and up the channel in the posting so not sure why that was a surprise. I am sorry you were not impressed with our home and not sure if you were comparing it to some of the multi-million dollar rental homes on Lake Oconee but I believe we are the least expensive 3bed/2bath on the entire lake and the location is in the nicest part of the lake right next to Great Waters and Waters Edge. Thank you very much for your time.

GREAT time on Lake Oconee

  • 4 of 5

We loved our first ever VRBO experience on Lake Oconee. The property sits right on one of the many fingers of the lake. We took a fishing boat and kayaks and had a great time on and around the water...when the weather cooperated! The yard slopes downhill from the house to the dock where we kept the boat. The boat was ready for immediate use and wonderfully convenient! While we didn't do as much fishing as anticipated, we did see lots of fish jumping!

The house has a very open kitchen, LR, and screened patio for family time. It was very relaxing and comfortable. Owner, Greg, was most accommodating and helpful with all my many questions before and during our stay. When we did not have WiFi as advertised, I texted Greg about it. He immediately texted back where it was and that he could call telco about it. Found it unplugged, so it was quickly remedied. You could not ask for anyone to be more helpful or responsive than Greg!

The house driveway becomes steep right before the garage. If you are parking multiple vehicles, as in our family get together, the last vehicle in becomes what you drive while there. The house did have a couple of issues, which I advised Greg of, so hopefully they will be corrected. I would definitely stay there again, but take the kayaks without the fishing boat due to driveway and limited parking.
