This small condo community offers easy parking for 2 cars in front of each unit. The condo is fully furnished, and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals from the food you find at nearby farmer's markets. A grill on the back deck, cable, flat screen television, a DVD player, stereo with CD changer, and wireless internet service provide plenty to do when you are not out enjoying the nearby attractions. Our unit also has central air conditioning, making it a cool refuge on even the warmest summer day.
A short walk through the woods brings you to Petoskey State Park, a pristine public beach for swimming and walking the trails. Skiing, biking, fishing, sailing, golf, and much, much more are only minutes away.
Directly across the street is Toski Sands Market, which offers fine foods, specialty produce, and an extensive collection of beer, wine and spirits.
Mary & Sid are permanent residents of Austin, Texas. Mary is a psychotherapist and adjunct professor at Huston-Tillotson University & Sid is the senior minister of Trinity United Methodist Church near the University of Texas, where he has served since 1988. We have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren. We do not get to spend as much time at the condo as we would like, but hope that friends and guests will feel that it is a home away from home, whether you are staying a weekend, a week, or a month.
Enjoy your time at the condo and in the wonderful corner of the world called Little Traverse Bay!

Sid Hall purchased this condo in 2007
Sid's family has been going to Northern Michigan in the summer for a hundred years. He grew up in Bay View (the Methodist Chautauqua just down the road a few minutes before you get to Petoskey).. Bay View has seasonal cottages only but we are more interested in a place that we can enjoy each of the four seasons. This small complex of 11 units called Bathing Beach Condominiums is located minutes from the beach at Petoskey State Park and is half way between Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Just outside the condo door is the Little Traverse Wheelway that runs from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix and is a wonderful path to walk or ride bikes. The Wheelway provides safe and easy access to the marina in downtown Harbor Springs or the gas light district of Petoskey.
Our condo is located in an excellent place for exploring Northern Michigan.
- 5 minutes to Petoskey & Bay View
- 5 minutes to Harbor Springs
- 8 minutes to ski resorts of Boyne Highland & Nub's Nob
-40 minutes to Mackinaw City & the Mackinac Island Ferry
- 1 hr & 15 minutes to Traverse City & a dozen fine wineries
- 1 hr & 45 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes
- 1 hr & 30 minutes to Tahquamenon Falls in the UP
Four of us stayed for a snowboarding weekend and the location was perfect for a short trip to Nub's Nob. Petoskey is also just a short drive, so we were close to everything we needed. The place was clean and it was the perfect size and layout for two couples. We would stay again without hesitation.
Unit was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Owner provided area information that was very helpful. Would highly recommend and will most definitely stay again!
I stayed at this condo on July 16-17, 2016. It is a very nice, 2-story unit that can easily sleep 6 people, although there were just two of us. It was very clean and well-maintained. If anything, this property is better than advertised on the website. It is located halfway between Petoskey and Harbor Springs and is only 10 minutes or so from each of those very walkable downtown areas; there are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. The property owner, Sid Hall, always responded quickly in response to my questions. I would enjoy staying here again.
We come to the Petosky/Gaylord area every summer to play golf. We decided to stay at this condo and it was perfect for driving to the Boyne golf courses, and enjoying all the sights in the Petosky area. The beach is beautiful snd walking distance away. The condo was well furnished and very clean. We will be visiting here next year! I highly recommend it.
A few of my girlfriends and I went on a trip to Petoskey for a weekend and this condo was PERFECT. The week before we arrived, I received an e-mail from the owners suggesting lots of things to see and do in the area, which was very helpful! There were six of us and we had plenty of room, enough bathrooms to share, and the house was so CLEAN! We had everything that we needed and more - sheets, towels, paper products, dishes - completely furnished. We walked to the beach in less than ten minutes and were within half a mile of lots of gorgeous trails. I would stay at this condo again in a heartbeat - absolutely wonderful!
We had a wonderful time. The condo was perfect for us and the location was great. The State park is right next door with a short walk or quick left hand turn your at the beach.
The condo was very clean and updated. The deck and grill out back were perfect for entertaining our guest. Being the only guy on this trip it was nice to have 3 bathrooms, trust me!
They have a small brewery just up the road which had some good IPA. The food was, ehh but I wasn't there for the food.
I highly recommend anyone to stay at Sids place. The family and I will definitely be staying again in the future.
Thank you Sid for the quick responses such a wonderful stay.

Little Traverse Bay is the perfect vacation setting! The condo is walking distance (less than 10 minutes) to Petoskey State Park, with almost two miles of beautiful sandy beach for swimming and watching the magical sunsets across the bay. Harbor Springs and Petoskey, both five miles away, provide charming downtown shopping, with arts and crafts stores, galleries and plenty of fine and casual dining choices. Each town also provides several boat launches with access to the bay.
Year round activities within several minutes of the condo include: golfing, fishing, putt-putt, Little Traverse Wheelway (26-mile dedicated trail from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs), jet-skiing, water skiing, sailing, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice skating.
The area is known for its farmer's markets, where you can buy fresh produce and dairy products directly from the farm. Historic Mackinac Island is just forty-five minutes north.
