About Owner

I'm Parisian working in the finance industry and have being living in this city for about 20 years.

I've spent the other part of my life living abroad, travelling worldwide for business or entertainment. Throughout my extensive traveller experience on all the continents, I had the opportunity to stay in some of the most renowned and exclusive hotels and places in the world, from the unique Atacama Desert resort in Chile, to fashionable and privileged Mayfair addresses or opulent maharadja castle in Radjastan.

When refurbishing this recently acquired apartment our goal was to make this place which benefited from a first class location on the Ile Saint Louis, a 5-star-hotel-suite like flat.

Decorated and furnished with personal items, mixing French antic with souvenir de voyages you will find here cosiness of a flat and functionality of a hotel suite.

Owner purchased this apartment in 2008

Why Owner chose 4th Arrondissement Pompidou Le Marais

I've been living in Paris for some 20 years and Ile Saint Louis is really the essence of Paris to me.

I've been looking for years for an exclusive property in the centre of Paris without suffering from the trouble of a megapolis. I found it...

The isle is a retreat from the stress and motion of the city. In addition to its exclusive setting in Paris the Ile Saint Louis offers peaceful and romantic tree-shaded quays accessed by stairway and, of course, the views on the city. This attests to the fact that, despite its development, the island has not lost its original function as a place for people to gather and relax in company with the Seine.

Stylish apartment with excellent attention to details

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the apartment. It was just the right size for a week (or more) and even though we did not cook , the facilities were certainly all there.

The guide book to the apartment and its facilities was excellent (wish more places produced such a booklet) and even though we have been to Paris many times , we still got useful hints from your guide book.

Although we stayed on the island 2 years ago , a new (for us) feature was the closure of the right bank river side road and the establishment of café / restaurants on the moored boats and riverside . We went down several times for a late afternoon drink and listen to a band.

Thanks for the advice of the refunded deposit and thanks for allowing us to use the apartment beyond the usual departure time.

We would certainly recommend the apartment.

Excellent apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is perfect for walking or taking the Metro, there are many restaurants and markets nearby, the kitchen is modern and compact, the bathroom is great, the bed was very comfortable, the furnishings were very nice, and the provisions were excellent (everything we needed was there). The building is secure and the contact person was available when we had questions. I would highly recommend this apartment and gladly stay here the next time I am in Paris.

Lovely apartment.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was well organized and very nice. In a great area for wonderful dinners very close. There was a book which explained everything in the apartment so easy to get answers to any questions. It was full of information about the area as well. The only negative was the small nitch for the toilet. Very small. Otherwise it was a great stay and lovely apartment. So enjoyed. Thanks....

EXCELLENT STAY - Wish I could give more stars! Will be staying there again on my next trip to Paris

  • 5 of 5

My experience with renting this beautiful apartment was nothing short of superlative from start to finish. It was better than staying in a five-star hotel. First, the owner is extremely responsive, professional, and trustworthy. The rental agreement (I am a lawyer in the real estate industry) is very clear and reasonable, and he provides clear and prompt instructions on how to rent and pay for the apartment and how to access the apartment once in Paris. He will promptly communicate with you every step of the way (unlike some VRBO owners I have rented from). Next, before arriving, the owner provided me with a lengthy booklet with practical information on the island (emergency numbers, the nearest doctor, taxi information, the best boulangerie on the island, closest Metro and recommended routes to various destinations etc.) and tourist info on Paris (the best restaurants, best macarons, etc.), his contact information, wifi information, and THAT THE APARTMENT PHONE ALLOWS FREE TELEPHONE CALLS TO NUMEROUS DESTINATIONS, INCLUDING THE US!! The kind and lovely owner met me at the apartment the day I checked in to show me how the many modern appliances work (including the most amazing espresso maker I have ever seen - and I own a top-of-the-line Nespresso espresso maker) and to acquaint me with the apartment. When I returned after lunch, fresh flowers were sitting on the table. Not only is the apartment in an outstanding, central location with beautiful views of the Seine and Right Bank (including the Hotel de Ville, Pompidou Center, and even Sacre Coeur in the distance), it is warm, beautifully decorated, immaculate, and has everything one needs for a comfortable home-away-from-home stay. The owner has provisioned the apartment not only with the usual toiletries one finds in a hotel, but with thoughtful details, such as an umbrella, bags to bring home things from the local markets, a first-aid kit (which came in very handy when I returned one day with blisters), shoe horns, razors, toothpaste, etc., not to mentioned a well-stocked kitchen and dining area. In short, the superb, kind owner; gorgeous central location; and warm, beautiful, luxurious apartment exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return to Paris and stay in this lovely apartment again.

Outstanding real Parisian flat in the best area

  • 5 of 5

As a former Parisian who now lives and works abroad, I am very picky when it comes to stay in my hometown.

I have met many Parisian landlords who claim to have the most "fantastic flat in the city" and they often deceived me. I visit Paris several times a year with my 12-year-old daughter, trying to transmit her the quintessence of the city where she was born.

We then, spend a lot of time visiting exhibits and events, enjoying theater shows, good restaurants, friends and family. At the end of the day, we long for a quiet, neat, confortable and real Parisian place, not too expensive - a combination of criteria often hard to match.

Nevertheless, this property we discovered in October overpassed all of our expectations and my last staying was one of the best in many years. I suppose it won’t find a better place… The owner is the kindest landlord I met in Paris. His flat is not just another gorgeous flat in the most wanted Ile Saint-Louis, it’s a modern nest decorated with warmth, delicacy, genius and noble materials. Tidy, clean and designed with taste, the apartment overlooks the banks of the Seine, for breathtaking views to be admired every morning with an exquisite coffee - made of real coffee beans ! All linens are soft and perfectly ironed and all equipments are upscale (kitchen, tv, wifi, coffee maker). It’s a perfect place for a couple, with or without a young child.

Being on the Île Saint-Louis allows to just walk to almost any cool neighborhoods, from the famous Notre Dame to the crowded Chatelet Les Halles and Louvre, the arty Place des Vosges and Marais, and the youthful République. All around you’ll find groceries, 2 boulangeries offering delicious snacks for lunch; bars and restaurants for all purses.

In few words, it’s the ideal place for anyone wishing to experience the real Parisian life.

Amazing apartment, full of surprises!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this magnificent spotless Ile Saint Louis apartment with gorgeous views. What a pleasure to admire the banks of the Seine from our apartment, to take a stroll on the banks of the river and enjoy views of the capital's historic sites.

We were greeted immediately on arrival by the housekeeper who made us feel right at home. The apartment itself is modern, perfectly appointed (free phone, wifi, A/C, Hi FI and even a safe) and impeccably styled with beautiful and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is stocked with every item you can imagine. The owner of the property has thought of everything and has taken care of every detail to make his guests enjoy their stay such as many extra toiletry items, lots of immaculate and fluffy towels, and a cleverly designed large walk-in shower. The on-site housekeeper were enormously helpful and knowledgeable too.

Every word of description provided by the owner as well as the pictures are completely accurate. This is the perfect place for a couple to explore the city.

The price is worth everything!!! I highly recommend it and it won't disappoint!!!

The Île Saint-Louis is one of two natural islands in the Seine river (the other natural island is Île de la Cité). The island is connected to the rest of Paris by bridges to both banks of the river and by the Pont Saint Louis to the Île de la Cité.

The Ile Saint Louis has become a highly residential area and a privileged destination and those looking for a romantic visit or who are impassioned about history looking for a Paris that is both elegant and authentic.

Ile Saint Louis will appeal to those who like more of a small-town feel, who appreciate historic neighborhoods and old towns, fine meals at a sidewalk café and guests tourists who prefer to live like locals, Often considered the most romantic part of Paris, the peaceful Ile St-Louis is prime strolling territory.

The flat is a three minute walk from Notre-Dame, a five minute walk from the famous Marais area and ten minute walk from Place des Vosges. Saint Germain, its art galeries and fashion shop are only 15 min walk
