Our family has been vacationing in Carpinteria for several decades. We have traveled all over the World and always are blessed by our time spent in our little beach town of Carpinteria.

We enjoy this property most because of the size of the property and the Condo's and the layout of the pool and grounds in general. Our Property is steps to the beach with a wind protected heated pool to return to. Best property on the Sandyland Strip. Just sayin!
Quiet, Friendly atmosphere where young and old alike enjoy a spacious grounds not overcrowded year round.
Guest says "Wow I needed this vacation. What a great little town. I would recommend this town and this property to anyone who wants to get away and forget about everything."
La Cabana is a great, family friendly destination in beautiful Carpinteria, CA. I have been renting this unit for over 10 years every July with my two daughters and creat their "favorite vacation" memories. The unit is clean and bright. The owners are responsive and kind hearted. I highly recommend this unit!
We enjoyed our stay at this condo immensely. The unit it self was very clean and comfortable to lounge in. Just steps from the beach, this location was absolutely perfect. The pool and patio area were a joy to use, and the manager and owners were very helpful as well. We truly could not have asked for more out of our family vacation!
We stayed in the upstairs 1 bedroom and we loved our stay. The condo was clean, comfortable, and was a great home away from home. There were more than enough linens, beach items, dishes etc for our family of 5. We loved being able to take the very short walk to the beach anytime we wanted. We also really appreciated the details the owners provided like the laundry basket, hats, videos appropriate for a family and the pole inside the bathtub to dry our swimsuits. The parking lot behind the building was also convenient for unloading and loading. Thank you Rob and Debbie for making our vacation so easy! Also after we got home, our deposit was returned very very quickly. Our whole vacation experience was easy from beginning to end.
One of my grown sons, his two children and I stayed in unit 7 in La Cabana. This is a studio apartment. It is as pictured on the website except for slightly different furniture in the living room. The kitchen is exactly as pictured and quite generous in size. There is a good sized bathroom and dressing area. Although we might have preferred a larger unit, this was available on short notice and was adequate for the four of us. The owners were enjoying a stay at La Cabana while we were there. They are friendly and helpful.
There are some benefits specific to the unit we occupied: It is close enough to the club house that we could access the wi-fi. It is close to the pool from which you can also access wi-fi while the kids swim. It is close to the barbeque which resides in a patio right outside the unit and beside the pool. There are picnic tables where we ate most meals. We have nearby family who visited and we used the patio as an extension of the unit. I don't know if the occupancy was low, but we had the entire patio to ourselves most of the time.
It was very quiet in the mornings and evenings with only the sound of kids enjoying the pool in the afternoon. When we stayed here and in another property years ago, it was very noisy even on non-holiday weeks. Maybe we were just lucky in that respect.
Our aim was to recreate "vacations past". This involved eating at "The Spot", "The Palms" and "Tony's Pizza". Also important was putting coins on the train tracks and coming back later to find the pennies flattened by Amtrack. Who knew this would be such a memorable vacation feature? The beach was great, as always. If I half-close my eyes I can still see outlines of of the past in various buildings and beach houses. Things have changed, but Carpinteria is still a great place for a family vacation.
The unit was clean, well maintained, very easy walking distance to beach and everything else. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative.
Just a small note about a previous review where someone complained about the lack of light: The inside of our unit was adequately lit, but not what you would call "light filled" by the morning sun, or whatever the real estate adds talk about. To me this was a relief from the bright outside light and seemed cool and refreshing. Also the grandchildren slept in a bit in the morning - always good!
My family and I stayed here just this past week. Rob and Deb made the process from beginning to end so wonderful. Looking for a place to stay during a long visit is always stressful, but not this time. We were about 1 block from the beach. It was fantastic, beautiful, and peaceful. From Carpenteria to Santa Barbara. The food, the sailboat cruise, the beach, the road trip to Gibraltar Road high above the coast overlooking the ocean and harbor. I recommend trying the seafood at the Shellfish Co. at the harbor and watch them cook your dinner. Most enjoyable. Last and certainly not least, Rob and Deb showed up on the weekend and we had a great visit. We hit it off immediately. Down to earth like a good neighbor from back home. The memories of our Santa Barbara journey will last a lifetime.
Rob and Deb, Thanks Again, It was wonderful.

My family and I stayed here just this past week. It is a nice little town with friendly people. The beach was amazing and really close by. We visited all the local attractions which were only about a 15 minute drive. This is a clean and well kept condo. The only thing I would recommend is to not schedule your getaway around a HOLIDAY. It can get a little noisy and that can be upsetting when you are trying to rest and relax. Other than that everything was great! The owners are very pleasant and easy to talk to.
