Located in the quiet village of Green Point, surrounded by National Parks. With beautiful views overlooking Wallis Lake. * 5 mins. drive to Seven Mile Beach. * 2 mins. walk to Wallis Lake - shallow clear water ideal for children. * 7 mins. drive to Forster Shopping Village. * 10 mins. to Pacific Palms popular beaches. Amenities for holiday makers include public phone, boat ramp, boat hire, Free tennis courts nearby. Within the town there is mainstream and boutique shopping, award winning restaurants and Clubs, a widevariety of experiences and activities and crystal clear water everywhere. The beaches around Foster all fabulous starting with Main Beach which is a protected beach, making it ideal for families. Nearby Pebbly Beach is also a good spot for families as is Burgess Beach. Other beaches not to miss include One Mile Beach and McBrides Beach, ideal to escape for a day. Seven Mile Beach stretches South from Cape Hawke down to Booti Hill and the Ruins, great for fishing and surfing. Details Green Gables is fully self contained and has a well equipped kitchen with an electric stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster, sofabed/lounge, automatic washing machine, 2 showers, bathtub, 2 toilets, exterior clothes line, vacuum, air conditioned to main bedroom, outdoor setting & gas BBQ. The main bathroom has been fully renovated September 2016. Pricing is for 2 adults & 2 children, extra adults $15 per adult & $10 per child per night. Bring your own linen i.e. sheets, towels, or these can be supplied for $18 p.p. Pillows & blankets are provided. Pets are permitted but prefer not inside the cottage. The yard is fully fenced with undercover areas for your pets. There is a cabin for 2 extra guests on the property.

                                                    Quite a nice little cottage in a small town 10mins drive from Forster. Walking distance to lake. Fairly clean & tidy & has all the necessities you need. However it’s an older 2 story home with wooden internal stairs which isn’t great travelling with young children or older people. 2 bedrooms up stairs. The 3rd bedroom is outside in a granny flat which is a converted fibro garage. There’s only one air-con /fan in the main bedroom upstairs. House needs some tidying up in areas & has a damp smell under stairs.

                                                    Owner's Response:This review is very much in-accurate and a result of the Stayz online booking process, where people book and pay for accommodation before asking any relevant questions about the suitability of the property before booking. In this case Kerynne wanted to cancel her booking after paying, and after claiming the property didn't suit her requirements - instead of cancelling and paying the Stayz cancellation fee she went ahead with the booking - unhappy before even arriving. Furthermore she decided to leave a n unrealistic review, and not report damages, for the following reasons. The cabin/sleepout was never a garage, is literally 3metres from the back veranda, on level ground, with an attached ensuite, carpeted, double bed, TV and furnishings. The house is clearly 2-storey, and in keeping with 99.9% of similar properties, requires stairs to go from one level to another. Over the past 12 years we have had hundreds of guests stay, from toddlers to the elderly and never had any issues arising from the stairs. We have never had any reports of a damp smell under the stairs - perhaps it was from the broken ornament that was not reported and small pieces were found around and 'under the stairs'. We would gladly address 'some tidying up in areas' if we were made aware of what areas concerned Kerynne. To give the location 2/5 stars sums up the attitude of this guest - stunning lake and mountain views from almost anywhere on the property, spectacular sunsets over the lake, quiet area close to beaches and a short walk to the lake-front, and a short 8-10min drive to Forster's main shopping centre. The main bedroom upstairs has a reverse cycle air-con - the rest of the house is open and plenty of openable windows to take advantage of the inevitable afternoon breezes- the lower living area is tiled and generally stays cool. In hindsight we would have cancelled this booking ourselves footing the Stayz cancellation fees ourselves.

                                                    Lovely holiday cottage, almost lakeside and lovely view. Perfect for family with kids, dogs and mother in law. Well equipped and comfortable, a 'home away from home'. Relaxing green point has access to multiple beaches, mid way between Bluey's and Forster.

                                                    Comfortable and relaxing

                                                    My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Green Gables. We caught the morning sun in the back yard and the afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets overlooking the lake in the afternoon. The local area is quiet and safe but there is no need for an alarm as the local birds sing carefree on mass. My dogs were safe in the yard as the fences are in great condition with six foot colourbond on three sides and side fence and gate around four and a bit feet. There is plenty of shelter for them to keep out of the elements. It was a bonus to have garage access too. A beaut coffee shop two doors up the road for afternoon tea and cake. Don't forget the Mozzie repellant a must for all.

                                                    Wake up with the Bird,

                                                    We had a great stay, owners really help full, was good to stay somewhere where the owners have put money back into the property and not just filled it up with hand me downs from their principle residence. The new bathroom was a treat, fingers crossed for a bigger double bed next visit. The location was perfect for us and we enjoyed the sunsets and wildlife.
