I am an Interior designer/ architect and I love to travel. I have lived in many great cities (NYC, Aspen, Miami, and LA) and I always come back here. I use VRBO wherever I go. It's the greatest way to really get to know how the locals live, find the best restaurants, and walking communities.
Margaret purchased this bungalow in 2004
Orlando is a great city. I grew up here. When ever I leave the state of Florida, I am reminded of the great weather and ease of living here. I can walk everywhere and there is always something interesting going on.
Great local neighborhood vibe! Walk to dining, shopping, and Sunday farmer's market, and enjoy the close proximity to Lake Eola and Downtown Orlando. 5 minute drive/ rickshaw (10 minute walk) to Amway center & movie theaters. 45 minutes to the Beach. Disney Area & Theme Parks & Convention Center 30 minute drive. 20 minutes from airport. 2 miles from Orlando executive airport.
I spent an entire month at Margaret's bungalow. The pictures are spot on and we felt home right from day one. I have to go to Orlando every now and then to take care of my business in town and from this day onwards, there's no other place I'd rent to stay in the city. Thanks so much for such a nice place, Margaret! :)
If you want to be in the heart of Thornton Park, you can't get any better than Margaret's beautiful home. It's a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. You can walk to Lake Eola, the Thornton Park restaurants, go downtown, or get massages (like we did) at the Thornton Park Spa. The house is beautifully updated, but retains its historic charm. We loved sitting on the front porch having our morning coffee and watching all the people walk by. The house is very quiet inside and the beds are very comfortable. Margaret is very accommodating and everything you need is provided. We will definitely be back!
This house was in a great location. After going to the theme parks I needed an escape and this was perfect. The location is great if you want to walk so some local bars, restaurants and cafes. You're close to some neighborhoods like Winter Park and the Milk District too. The local lakes and walking trails were very nice.
Plenty of space for 4 adults or a family. And there is a driveway so parking is free!
The home is lovely... beautifully decorated, spacious, and located in a quaint area of downtown Orlando. Home was well equipped and wifi worked pretty well. Nice being able to walk to restaurants just blocks away. Amusement parks just 20-25 mins away. Owner was helpful and available for any questions. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the Thornton Park Bungalow for Christmas vacation. It was beyond perfect. The house is adorable and had everything we needed. We even cooked a large meal for a bunch of family on Christmas Eve. The neighborhood is wonderful with restaurants and cafes and parks just a few blocks away. I have already recommended this property to friends and family. Can't wait to return to Orlando.
We enjoyed our short stay in this house which is situated on a lovely quiet street in a residential area but walking distance to shops and restaurants and an excellent base for our trip. The house was clean, spacious and decorated in a style that suited the property so well and was indeed very comfortable with all the amenities you could need.
2 blocks from restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, Lake Eola, outdoor cafes.
1 mile to Downtown Orlando, Performing Arts Center
1.8 miles to Amway Arena
Near I-4/ and the 408 expressway. Easy driving to all the attractions, but I recommend staying in Thornton Park.
