I am an Interior designer/ architect and I love to travel. I have lived in many great cities (NYC, Aspen, Miami, and LA) and I always come back here. I use VRBO wherever I go. It's the greatest way to really get to know how the locals live, find the best restaurants, and enjoy walking communities.
Margaret purchased this Bungalow in 2004
Why Margaret chose Northeast Orlando
Orlando is a great city. I grew up here. Whenever I leave Orlando, I am reminded of the great weather, interesting people, and ease of living here. You can walk/bike/ uber everywhere and there is always something interesting going on.
What makes this Bungalow unique
Great local neighborhood vibe! Walk to dining, shopping, boutiques, Sunday farmer's market, and events around Lake Eola. With close proximity (5-minute Uber or rickshaw/ 10-minute walk) to Downtown Orlando, Performing Arts Center, Amway Arena, and movie theaters. 30-45 minutes to the Beach, Disney Area & Theme Parks & Convention Center.

Beautiful, stylish and welcoming.
I just want to thank Margaret for an absolutely wonderful stay. Her property is beautiful, well maintained and has everything one could ever need. I spent many a lovely evening on the porch watching downtown Orlando go by. The community this home is located in is like a storybook, old houses, friendly people and a complete mix of folks. I wholeheartedly recommend this gorgeous home.
Awe... thank you so much, Stephan, you are always welcome here.
Beautiful and comfy bungalow
We had a wonderful stay in the bungalow, in a lovely neighborhood. Great location to walk to restaurants and nightlife. Margaret was very helpful with anything we needed during our stay. The house was nicely restored and had a great blend of beautiful antique and contemporary furnishings. We will return!
Exquisite gem in Thornton Park
What a lovely, beautifully decorated bungalow in a great neighborhood. Margaret the owner was easy to get it touch with and check in was perfect. The house was super clean and has absolutely everything you would need and more. Beautifully decorated and the most comfortable bed and sheets I've ever slept on in a VRBO. Easy parking, a beautiful porch to watch the world go by and just a short stroll to Lake Eola, shopping and the area's many popular restaurants. Can't wait to come back again soon!
The property was in a great location. We enjoyed the front porch a lot.
The house was more than adequate for the 4 of us. It was nice that it was so close to the lake so we could go for walks and enjoy the nice weather. The location was great for the wedding we were there to attend and the neighborhood was friendly.
We were surprised to find food in the fridge when we arrived. We also noticed that the rooms were not level because the house had settled which provided a challenge for my 80 year old mother.
Overall a great experience! Thank you!
The amenities listed are not all provided. Daily maid service is listed. We were there 15 days and never had any kind of maid service. The sheets were never changed and there were no extra ones provided. We had to wash our 4 towels ourselves. Make sure you bring ant and roach spray. You will need it. The price justifies daily maid service but was not provided. The bungalow is quiet and located in a friendly neighborhood.
I pride myself on my approval ratings and being as accommodating as I can for my travelers to ensure a wonderful stay.
#1 My rates are never altered for holidays and peak season. This guest had my house for Christmas & New Years week at an unaltered price.
#2 And if you are going to show up with pets you should offer to pay the pet fee. It is in place so I can have it cleaned thoroughly for the next guest.
#3 Ants? this is Florida and open food on the floors and counters one may expect to attract ants. I have a contract with Massey to come whenever there is an issue at no extra charge. Even if it is one ant. You could have told me.
#4 Housekeeping is always available for an upcharge. I work with my amazing housekeepers and replace broken or damaged items. And to make sure every towel is folded, every bed is properly set, and that the floors and walls and all surfaces are sparkling clean.
I have never had a guest complain about providing them with a washer, dryer, and cleaning supplies so they may do their own laundry.
I am always available for feedback and to take care of anything that will improve your stay much less to detract from it. I love suggestions for improvement and to do upgrades. So I always encourage my guests to let me know if they need anything that is not provided or if they have any suggestions.
Arriving at Margaret's house is always delightful. The house was wonderfully clean and inviting. The front porch was a wonderful place to relax. My cousin and I enjoyed dinner at local restaurants.
2 blocks from restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, Lake Eola, outdoor cafes. 1 mile to Downtown Orlando, Performing Arts Center 1.8 miles to Amway Arena Near I-4/ and the 408 expressway. Easy driving to all the attractions, but I recommend staying in Thornton Park.
