I O W Traveller. June 2010.
We enjoyed our stay here , everything you need is in the house.
Kathy Spence was a pleasure to deal with and replied promptly to my
This is good location for visiting the Normandy coast.
Easter Bank Holiday
We stayed here (2 couples) over the easter bank holiday. We wanted somewhere to use as a base whilst sightseeing. It was exactly what we wanted, absolutely fantastic location, i can imagine in the summer it will be a brilliant place to take children with the beach being so close, seems like a very safe area. The restaurants in the port are great and do amazing mussels that come in a boat shape dish!! Dives Sur Mer is a few minutes walk and there was a market on when we were there, loads of lovely restaurants (avoid William the Conqueror- very rude), do go to le bougnat, delicious steak! The apartment was great, clean and just what we needed. the bedrooms were big enough and the shower was good! Woudl definately go back again, still loads we want to see!
The description of the property was accurate. The property was inmmaculate on arrival and very well fitted out. The kitchen was fully equipped and also had a toaster and microwave. A good stock of cleaning equipment and several spare lightbulbs were supplied. There were also spare blankets available.
The owner answered my many queries promptly via email. The property was in an excellent location although as we visited in February some of the near by shops were closed. The owner had infomed us of this, prior to the holiday. The owner sent some very useful information regarding local information. In the property was a basket containing lots of useful information about local places of interest.
There were too many interesting places for us to be able to visit everywhere we wanted to visit.
Great Beach Getaway for Families
We spent three days in February, 2008, at this adorable rental. Very well kept, clean, and as described. Although February is not a popular time to visit the Normandy area, we had a great time and found plenty of things to do. The location of the apartment is close to tourist attractions like the Normandy Beaches and Honfleur, which had a fantastic beach! There was also great shopping within 15 minutes (Hyper U). I would highly recommend this place to anyone with small children. Our girls (ages 4 and 6) loved the spiral staircase! The property might be tight for more than two adults, but the four of us got along just fine. The owners were polite, prompt in contacting us, and provided information on the area. A great stay and we'd be more than happy to visit again!
