Our urban cottage is located just blocks from the West Seattle Junction. This two bedroom house sleeps a maximum of 6 guests. Both the master bedroom and a second bedroom have queen-sized beds. A semi-private, curtained sleeping area contains bunk beds perfect for kids or the young at heart. The small kitchen is functional, but not for the true gourmet cook. The house has one bathroom, a combined open living/dining space, a washer/dryer, wireless high-speed internet, DirecTV, and off-street parking for two cars.
You'll find the beds crisply made, fresh towels in the bathroom, and coffee in the kitchen, in addition to other homey touches, so you can begin your relaxing vacation the minute you arrive.
The cottage is located near the heart of a neighborhood full of great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, a pharmacy, grocery stores, and nightlife. Our neighbors are Salon Ef-Fekts and the OutWest Bar.
West Seattle is also home to Seattle’s finest waterfront areas: Alki Beach and Lincoln Park. Alki provides summer fun and excellent views of downtown; Lincoln Park is great for a hike in the woods or a dip in the saltwater swimming pool. We recommend riding the Elliot Bay Water Taxi from Seacrest Pier to downtown Seattle. By car, downtown Seattle is just 10 minutes. Or, another great hassle-free option is to hop on a metro bus and ride just 15-20 minutes.
Having both owned houses before we married in February of 2009, we decided to try the vacation rental business rather than sell either. Our first guests were Laura's family, in town for the wedding. Since then, with Joe's work as an entertainer and our joint project of raising our two sons, we are plenty busy! However, we take pride in putting our visitors first and have really enjoyed meeting our guests and sharing the city we love with them.
Laura and Joe Ross purchased this house in 2011
The cottage looked exactly as it did in the pictures. It was stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. They even had a goodie basket with popcorn etc. It was a very easy drive to go back and forth to the city center and waterfront and having designated parking was great. The only thing I would point out which could be a concern is there is a bar/nightclub next door. It didn't bother me any of the time I was there, however one of my sons could hear the live band on Saturday night and a few patrons arguing. Once again, I didn't hear any of this, so maybe you can only hear it in that particular room. I would definitely stay here again.
The property was perfect. Quaint and then a great location. Had all the amenities that we needed for a family of 5. The owners were very responsive. Location was Central to everything. We would definitely stay again
An adorable little house with many things to do within walking distance. Just a short ride on the C-RapidRide bus took us to all the sites downtown. Slept six comfortably. We loved our stay!!!!
The price was right & the accommodation was right for four over-50 girlfriends to spend a week exploring Seattle. We had no intentions of cooking, so the kitchen was just right, too. We had a wonderful time & having coffee on the front patio in the mornings allowed us to interact with the early walkers. We did rely on public transport to get from West Seattle to downtown which takes about 20 mins. Sometimes, we would ride the water taxi home. West Seattle is a beautiful area, but it is a little distant from downtown, so you'll need a car or a good bus map...we discovered near the end of the week that we'd been walking way out of the way for the bus stop when it was on the South end of our street all along! We should have explored our block a little more closely. I would definitely recommend Full Moon Cottage.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was perfect for myself & my 10
Month old & my friend & her 3 children (17, 3 and 5 months) we each had a room which we shared with the little ones & the kids took the simi private bunk beds. It was perfect enough room to hang out together or enjoy privacy after a long day of sight seeing. We didn't have a car and relied on public transportation but it was literally steps from the front door & took us straight to downtown Seattle which was perfect. We didn't want to have to transfer or stop a lot being that we had strollers. If I had any concerns it would be the bar next door. It did not bother us but you can hear people outside just hanging out if you're in the living room. However, the owners do provide the number to the bar if you had any issues. Again we were unbothered by the patrons. We would totally stay in The Cottage again!!! Thank you for your hospitality:)
My dad and two brothers stayed at the Full Moon Cottage for three nights. It was a perfect place to stay. The location is wonderful. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance, but if you want to get into downtown Seattle, you can catch the C line RapidRide bus just down the street. It was perfect.
The house was very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed. We could hear a little bit of noise from the street, which is expected, but other than that, we heard no other noise at all. Will certainly stay here again on our next trip to Seattle!
