Capricornus is a fabulous rental. It's unlike anything else you will find in downtown Boston, not only is it modern and spacious but it's docked right on the water in downtown Boston! The boat is within walking distance to most tourist attractions and several subway stations.
You are staying literally on the water. Enough said.
I recommend it to anyone ! It's such a cool experience and very comfortable to sleep on a boat. We used the BBQ and had breakfast on the roof of the boat. The location is great and it was clean. Id go back there next time I go to Boston.
Clean and comfortable with geese visitors outside bedroom patio door each warm morning. So pretty.
Awesome roof top deck. We purchased prepared food and groceries from the little Italian grocery recommended by owner and located less than a five minute walk away and enjoyed them rooftop each evening. Loved it!!!
No car necessary. Freedom Trail tours, Fanueil Hall, Cheers, subway, and more within walking distance.
The boat was in a great location and Kate was great with communication and access to the boat. The boat was well equipped and spacious enough for the 5 of us and we put the rooftop to good use!
There is a market within a 2-4 minute walk to grab the essentials as well.
I would recommend this to anyone for a unique experience.
The only issue we had was the water taxi not knowing exactly where to drop us off or pick up going to and from the airport.
This was my first time on a houseboat and I wasn't sure what to expect. I looked around for hotels in the north end area and couldn't believe the prices. Then I started looking around on vrbo and stumbled upon this concept. I couldn't believe the price for the location. You essentially get a 2 br 1 bath small apartment in the heart of the north end for half the price of a tiny hotel room. When we arrived the guy (can't remember his name) was very nice and as soon as he found out we had never been to Boston before he gave us a quick rundown of the area and where the different things were.
I was a little worried about movement and if that would make me sick but it didn't. There wasn't much movement but enough to help me sleep really well. It was a very quiet peaceful stay. The boat was very clean and well kept. The location was a couple blocks from all the Italian restaurants but my favorite meal came steps away from the tiny seafood place with the best clam chowder ever. You are also a 5 minute walk from subway station. It's an ideal location.
I plan on visiting again to return to Fenway, because that's the most amazing place on Earth, and I will definitely stay here again.
This boat truly was clean, and comfortable, and we'd stay again, if ever in Boston.
Located in the historic Lewis Warf, we were very close to all things historic in Boston; Hay Market, and the Freedom Trail.
The boat was clean, spacious, and the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable; no springs. A/C worked well, albeit noisy.
There were plenty of towels and linens in the bathroom, and the hot water in the boat was plentiful.
David was very accessible by phone, when we arrived at Lewis Warf at 6:30 p.m on a Saturday, only to find there was no parking in the lot, or in any of the 4 adjacent lots. We had to leave, have dinner, and return at 9:30 p.m. David was helpful when we again had to call him, in order to get the combination to the keys on the boat. Truly appreciated.
The parking was a stressful situation, that surprised us, and wasn't something we thought we should have been concerned about, thus the 4 stars.
Was the perfect accommodation for a weekend in Boston. Clean, comfortable, had everything we needed.
Can't beat the location or the roof top deck.
My family had such a great time staying on this houseboat. It's in a great location in downtown Boston, close to everything we wanted to do and had enough space for our family of 4.
It's such a unique place to stay and the best part is the roof deck! No other hotel could give you this type of waterfront view. The kids loved it.
