This romantic hideaway is located in the remote village of Vouni at the foot of the Troodos mountains. Mixing modern luxury within a traditional setting, this beautiful guest house offers unrivalled peace and tranquility for couples wanting to get away from it all!

A traditional stone house that has been lovingly restored to give the comforts of modern day living - with own private pool, whilst retaining the charm of a small village dwelling. The house provides bespoke luxury accommodation for 2 people, and is furnished in a contemporary style, to the highest standards. A high stone wall surrounds the property, ensuring total privacy and seclusion.

Please note that the property is unsuitable for young children and people with reduced mobility, as the terrain is rocky with uneven paths and road surfaces.

A car is essential due to the remote location of the village! Parking space available close to the property

INTERIOR

The house has a large living area downstairs, with comfortable seating, dining area and a fully equipped fitted kitchen. Media facilities include CD player, TV/DVD - all with surround sound both internally and externally. Wi-Fi internet access is available free of charge. For those visiting in the winter months, there is also the option to have underfloor heating, along with a log fire which is located in the lounge.

The upstairs suite has a small snug area, which leads into the main bedroom with a 4 poster king sized bed. The bedroom is dual aspect and has double french doors leading onto the balcony. From the bedroom and balcony there are stunning views across the valley to the local vineyards and the sea beyond.

The bathroom is located upstairs and has a toilet, marble washstand and large rainfall shower. Bathrobes and toiletries are provided.

EXTERIOR

Outside the patio area is equipped with dining table, chairs and umbrella. The poolside area has 2 sun loungers and table. The pool has a sail shade at the far end to provide extra privacy whilst swimming and sunbathing.

The outside area has controlled lighting and surround sound systems in place.

The laundry room is fully equipped, with washing machine and tumble drier.

LOCATION

Vouni is at the heart of the ancient wine region of Cyprus. Step back in time and explore the rich unspoiled architectural heritage of Vouni - with its cobbled streets and winding alleyways, leading to stunning views in all directions and down to the coast. Vouni’s remote location provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the area in almost complete isolation and enjoy the many varieties of local flora and forna throughout the seasons. Walking around the country side close to the village affords the opportunity to see many types of wild orchids in the spring, and nesting birds, such as hoopoe and scops owl, throughout the summer.

Notes:
Entertainment facilities include a 42 inch flat screen TV, DVD player with a good selection of films. The music CD library can be used on the surround sound music and radio system. The overall sound system has the option to play, in the lounge, bedroom and bathroom, and outside on the patio dining area, and down by the pool. The kitchen area is compact, but very well equipped for simple holiday cooking, with a good selection of pots and pans, table ware, and utensils. Crystal wine glasses are also available to use, and being in the centre of a very up and coming wine producing region, sampling the local wine is highly recommended so the glasses come in very useful!! Due to the lack of nearby supermarkets, food shopping can be arranged prior to your arrival upon request. There is a local village shop which is open Monday - Saturday providing basic supplies There is a weekly cleaning service which is mandatory, and will be charged at €20 per week and payable at the time of booking

Superb

Wir waren nun das zweite Mal hier. Wer zwei Wochen lang seine absolute Ruhe haben will und dabei einen wunderbaren Pool genießen will, ist hier genau richtig. Die Unterkunft ist mit sehr viel Geschmack und Gespür für Stil gestaltet. Und die Besitzer sind ein Traum. Durch die immer gehende Brise sind auch 32 Grad sehr gut zu ertragen. Sehr zu empfehlen. The property is stunning,beautifully arranged and thoughtfully prepared and maintained.

This was our third visit to Vouni and its the same magic that draws us back.Both properties meet our needs in different ways.The standard of accomodation is carefully and thoughtfully maintained and our hosts ensure we have everything we need.The welcome was as warm as ever and we now have established friends in the village and make new ones ones each visit.We love exploring the island and balance this with relaxing by the pool and soaking up wonderful atmosphere of the Hideaway.We come home refreshed and happy and immediately make plans to go back again.

A beautiful tranquil haven in a lovely rustic village.

The Hideaway is exactly as described and shown in the photographs. The property is situated in the village of Vouni which must be unique for its undeveloped character (and lack of tourists), and the house been very tastefully restored and furnished by Andy and Nic. Everything is there that we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The house is well equipped, and they provided food basics to get us started, which we very much appreciated. It is private and very quiet at night, and has open views. The bed and other soft furnishings are comfortable. Andy met us and showed us where to park and helped with luggage and gave information about the property. We met up with Andy and Nic mid-week and they made us feel very welcome. We were able to watch English television if we wished, or use the excellent music system They recommended us to a local restaurant which was very accomodating and the food was traditional cuisine. All inall we could not fault the Hideaway. We would go back again.

Stunning, romantic get-away

We had a fantastic break at the Hideaway. The house and gardens have been beautifully renovated and decorated. As soon as we arrived we knew we'd made the right choice and immediately extended our stay..

Although you won't want to leave (we didn't!), it's also a great location for exploring Cyprus - 40min or so from Limassol and just under an hour from the ruins of Paphos. We also went walking in the hills- which was beautiful.

Andy was a great host- available to help whenever necessary.

Highly recommended for any couple wanting the perfect romantic get-away...

What a find......

We wanted a holiday away from the city and found The Hideaway. Tucked away in a small village, Andy and Nic have considered everything you might need from the well equipped kitchen, eclectic CD and DVD collection, lovely rain shower and the most comfortable bed imaginable. With a delightful patio area, sunbeds and pool there is no need to venture far. The small village shop provides an array of supplies you might need to eat at home or try one of the local taverns. The village of Vouni is completely unspoilt and uncommercialised, just what we imagined and hoped for. The house is very private with amazing views and waking up hearing the neighbouring donkey made us smile every day.

The Hideaway is also a great base to explore the island with its fascinating history and beautiful churches.

Andy and Nic's warm welcome when we arrived and attention to detail creating a beautiful home from home gave us the holiday we needed. Try it......it really is as good as the reviews have said.

Excellent accommodation; beautiful & comfortable.

We had a superb stay in Vouni and thoroughly enjoyed the design and style of the highly equipped house. It had all the comfort of a top hotel with the delight of privacy and solitude. The attention to detail enhanced both the setting and the wonderful views available from every seating area and room. The location meant that we could walk in the mountains, swim at the beach and see wonderful historic sites with ease; we would love to return, thank you.

Set in the foothills of the Troodos mountains, Vouni is a remote village with many historic and natural attractions - yet the cosmopolitan city of Limassol is only a 30 minute drive away. It is the perfect location to discover the many delights Cyprus has to offer. Vouni has a choice of 3 tavernas in the village and a local shop to buy essential items, (open 3 mornings a week). Local wineries surround the area and are within a short drive from the property. The beaches of Pissouri and Evdimou bays with their restaurants and tavernas, are a picturesque drive of 20 minutes away, passing ancient olive groves and local shepherds guiding their goats across rolling hills.
