Vouni House Rental Photos and Description

Luxury designer stone house - 1 bedroom secluded property own swimming pool

This romantic hideaway is located in the remote village of Vouni at the foot of the Troodos mountains. Mixing modern luxury within a traditional setting, this beautiful guest house offers unrivalled peace and tranquility for couples wanting to get away from it all!

A traditional stone house that has been lovingly restored to give the comforts of modern day living - with own private pool, whilst retaining the charm of a small village dwelling. The house provides bespoke luxury accommodation for 2 people, and is furnished in a contemporary style, to the highest standards. A high stone wall surrounds the property, ensuring total privacy and seclusion.

Please note that the property is unsuitable for young children and people with reduced mobility, as the terrain is rocky with uneven paths and road surfaces.

A car is essential due to the remote location of the village! Parking space available close to the property

INTERIOR

The house has a large living area downstairs, with comfortable seating, dining area and a fully equipped fitted kitchen. Media facilities include CD player, TV/DVD - all with surround sound both internally and externally. Wi-Fi internet access is available free of charge. For those visiting in the winter months, there is also the option to have underfloor heating, along with a log fire which is located in the lounge.

The upstairs suite has a small snug area, which leads into the main bedroom with a 4 poster king sized bed. The bedroom is dual aspect and has double french doors leading onto the balcony. From the bedroom and balcony there are stunning views across the valley to the local vineyards and the sea beyond.

The bathroom is located upstairs and has a toilet, marble washstand and large rainfall shower. Bathrobes and toiletries are provided.

EXTERIOR

Outside the patio area is equipped with dining table, chairs and umbrella. The poolside area has 2 sun loungers and table. The pool has a sail shade at the far end to provide extra privacy whilst swimming and sunbathing.

The outside area has controlled lighting and surround sound systems in place.

The laundry room is fully equipped, with washing machine and tumble drier.

LOCATION

Vouni is at the heart of the ancient wine region of Cyprus. Step back in time and explore the rich unspoiled architectural heritage of Vouni - with its cobbled streets and winding alleyways, leading to stunning views in all directions and down to the coast. Vouni’s remote location provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the area in almost complete isolation and enjoy the many varieties of local flora and forna throughout the seasons. Walking around the country side close to the village affords the opportunity to see many types of wild orchids in the spring, and nesting birds, such as hoopoe and scops owl, throughout the summer.

Excellent accommodation; beautiful & comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

We had a superb stay in Vouni and thoroughly enjoyed the design and style of the highly equipped house. It had all the comfort of a top hotel with the delight of privacy and solitude. The attention to detail enhanced both the setting and the wonderful views available from every seating area and room. The location meant that we could walk in the mountains, swim at the beach and see wonderful historic sites with ease; we would love to return, thank you.

The Ultimate Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Sorry to be repetitive... all the reviews here are spot on! The Hideaway exceeded our expectations in every way. Andy and Nic were exceptionally welcoming - their love for The Hideaway, Vouni and Cyprus only added to the exceptional and unique experience offered here.

We both felt completely 'on holiday' the first morning we awoke. Everything you can ever need has been thought of... from the indoor-outdoor audio system to the heathy amount of Nespresso capsules to the uniquely designed lighting... the hideaway is beautifully designed with every detail considered and pre-emptied.

We loved being able to make The Hideaway our home for a week, we didn't travel far at all... the village wine store was our favorite place to go each evening! But if you do want to visit other parts of Cyprus Vouni is perfectly placed - it's an easy drive up from Limassol.

We couldn't recommend The Hideaway enough, we will definitely be returning again soon.

Amazing Honeymoon!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! What an amazing place! We couldn't fault it.

The attention to detail is truly remarkable in this place! Everything from the rocky steps to get to the hideaway to the pool area are so well though out and beautifully executed. We didn't use the outdoor pool as we went in November and it was a bit too cold! But I can imagine it would be absolutely amazing in the summer with the amazing views.

The living / dining area were so well thought out, and the perfect size. we loved the log burning fire (a little too much as we had to ask for extra logs a couple of times) it just felt so cosy to light the fire and watch a DVD from the supplied collection. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine, which at home we couldn't live without!

The bedroom was amazing, and one of the most comfy beds we have ever slept in! beautiful Linen and a great finish on the furnishings. We also loved the rain shower in the bathroom!

The fact that the hideaway also has a utility room with a washing machine and dryer is also very good, it meant that I could wash a few items before heading home and just added to the convenience of the Hideaway.

The owners Andy and Nicos were so friendly and accommodating, and always on call if we needed anything. They even went as far as picking up a bottle of champagne for us before our arrival as they knew it was our Honeymoon.

We can't recommend the Hideaway highly enough, or the hospitality of the owners, and hope to return again some time in the near future!

The Perfect Pad!

  • 5 of 5

The Vouni Hideaway was the Perfect Pad for us to escape to.

Following a recent bereavement we needed to revisit Cyprus to remember a special person, their love of the island and to recall a lifetime of happy memories shared there. We needed time to reflect and to start healing in a unspoilt part of the old rural Cyprus we knew still existed. We needed comfort, luxurious comfort, in a beautiful home that had a sense of peace and tranquillity. The Hideaway in Vouni gave us all of this and so, so much more.

The location and building are stunning. If you want to experience the "real Cyprus" you will love Vouni. Tucked away between the mountains and the coast you are a million miles from the tourist hotels of the holiday brochures. Access to all parts of the island is easy from Vouni and you have the smug knowledge that at the end of your day exploring you return to the sanctuary that is the Hideaway. The building is definitely special, Andy and Nic as interior designers have great taste and if you appreciate contemporary design that is then sympathetically applied to an old building you are in for a treat. I could go on and on about the place, just go, you won't be disappointed.

As for Andy and Nic, firstly thank you for sharing The Hideaway it is clear that you love it and are proud of it and so you should be! The process of booking The Hideaway from the initial enquiry to confirmation was always prompt and seamless. And for you both to await our arrival at The Hideaway, designer lights on, candles lit, red wind poured at 01.00hrs in the morning is a true testament to you both as hosts. It was an amazing welcome! Thank you.

The Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

There are no words to describe the experience we had there . The house is perfect in every detail from the amenities to the lighting .

When we stayed there were a couple of rainy days and frankly we really didn't mind not leaving the house .

Our day trips were amazing we were centrally located to everything and the scenery was beautiful on the drives , and we would always happily return to our lovely house on the mountain.

But all that can not even come close to eclipsing the warmth , hospitality and friendship that Nik and Andy showed us . With all the natural beauty of our surroundings they completed the picture postcard by being attentive , knowledgable and kind in every way making this one of our most memorable trips . J&J New York

Set in the foothills of the Troodos mountains, Vouni is a remote village with many historic and natural attractions - yet the cosmopolitan city of Limassol is only a 30 minute drive away. It is the perfect location to discover the many delights Cyprus has to offer. Vouni has a choice of 3 tavernas in the village and a local shop to buy essential items, (open 3 mornings a week). Local wineries surround the area and are within a short drive from the property. The beaches of Pissouri and Evdimou bays with their restaurants and tavernas, are a picturesque drive of 20 minutes away, passing ancient olive groves and local shepherds guiding their goats across rolling hills.
