Great stay at Sunset Cottage
We booked a long weekend at Sunset Cottage for a last summer weekend up north. The property was perfect for our family of 5. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, the beautiful sunsets, and s'mores by the shore. We also really enjoyed the walkability of the property, being so close to restaurants and shopping in Crosslake! Thank you!
Sweet Lake Cottage
Great mid-century cabin on the lake feel. Accommodations offered everything we needed for us our children and grandchildren. Our Malamute loved it too!
Back in Time on Whitefish Chain
Home is perfectly described. Very functional classic cabin. We enjoyed fishing from the doc, making fires, and watching sunsets.
Lake is great for tubing and all water sports.
Can't be beat
Visited this cabin for a second time in two years. It's a charming, cozy cabin, impossible to find anymore on this chain of lakes. It has everything you need. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious cabin, windows all around that bring in lovely lake breezes, amazing property and views, many good restaurants and lots to do. The walk from the deck to the dock area couldn't be more gentle, as the pictures depict. It's nearly flat -- maybe a 15 degree, gentle incline. It's perfection.
A week at Sunset Cottage
My family chose this cottage because it promised a vintage cabin experience but also provided WiFi and a full kitchen. That was exactly what we got. The cottage was decorated just as we imagined a family owned property filled with a mix of garage sale worthy items and family cast offs would be We have never had experience with cabins as we have always tent camped, but this year 3 of the family members had mobility issues so the cottage still allowed us to get away for some fun.. Comfortable beds and chairs, close access to bike trail, groceries, shopping, and rental boats, ability to bring a dog, all were important to us and the cottage satisfied all. The only issue we had was we wished there were handrails from the deck to the yard and down to the deck overlooking the dock. We had to be very careful navigating to avoid a fall. We enjoyed our stay very much for the novelty of the experience. We don't think we would repeat the experience though because we really like quiet, natural environments and human powered boats. Next year we may try to find an even more rustic cabin on a quieter lake.
Downtown Crosslake! Diary Queen, Zorbaz, Antique shopping, Gift shops, Goodwill, Parks, and more all within walking distance.
