Perfect base camp for Lyon
We spent 5 nights in this cute apartment and it was perfect for our time in Lyon. It’s located just outside of city center with close access to the bus, metro, and tram lines. Note: the public transportation tickets are good for all three, super nice. The neighborhood is quiet and the apartment is tucked off the road. It faces an interior car park but rarely did we notice cars coming and going. You’ll see parents walking their kids to school. Nicholas is easy to work with and fast to respond to any question. When you meet him at the apartment walk through the open drive gate off the street and into the inner parking area, the apartment is on the right as you walk into the area. We stood waiting at the glass doors by the sidewalk where the address is written, not noticing the open drive door - Nicholas came and found us :) the apartment had everything we needed. As in most home rentals, bring your own toiletries (shampoo, etc). I didn’t catch in the amenities that there’s technically no oven - there’s a microwave that may be able to do a bit more, but we didn’t figure it out or need it. We did use the stove top and microwave to heat food. The washing machine is handy - you can use the provided drying rack and towel warmer in bathroom to dry. Again, this was the perfect base camp for some day trips and exploring Lyon.
A great place to stay in Lyon.
Clean apartment with great access to transit. We had rented a car and it was a little too big for the parking area, mostly the entrance way. So I recommend a smaller car. We felt safe there and we were able to carfully get the car in and out.
I had forgotten there was a 300 euro deposit and really didn't have enough euros with me, we use credit cards mostly in Europe but it was handled with satisfaction and the refund was prompt. Lyon is a great place and the apartment was indeed a great place to stay and we highly recommend it.
Charming cottage in beautiful Lyon
My husband and I spent 4 restful nights in Nicholas' lovely cottage, and found the location perfect for easy access to the metro and bus.
The apartment is very clean and well cared for and quite spacious for a couple or small family.
Lyon is a treasure, hope to go back again!
All that was advertised
The unit was comfortable for three adults, all your needs were catered for ,the owners were very welcoming providing lots of local knowledge ,the unit is in a courtyard very quite and relaxing ,A short walk to the tram for a direct ride to the old city , would highly recommend.
We (husband, teenage daughter and myself) thoroughly enjoyed our week here. Very close to the tram, or a short walk to the metro, which took us to the centre of Lyon very quickly. The apartment is stunning, and is equipped with everything you need. It's in a lovely and quiet location, which is just what's needed after a day spent sightseeing or shopping! We rented the garage for the week, which was well worth it, as we didn't need to use the car at all during our stay. I'd recommend the apartment to anyone visiting Lyon, excellent value and location.
A very pleasant stay
The apartment is immaculate and very well equipped. We very much enjoyed our 'green'view of trees from our brdroom and sitting out on the little terrace by the kitchen in our two week stay.
One caveat, and this is stated, on the website, not good for physically disabled as the stairs are steep and no hand rail.Bedroom upstairs and bathroom down.Good lights ,but maybe a rail/ rope would be useful.
As others have said, the tram and metro are very handy, though if you prefer to shop at Casinos or Carrefour get off at Monplaisir and walk home(about 15-20 minutes)Good wide streets and shade. We also walked to Place Bellecoeur several times and that was about 40 minutes easy walking.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet also and recommend the apartment.Nicolas was very good with communicating.
Thank you for your appreciation, with many compliements, it makes us very happy.
For stairs, considering they are small, not high (2 staircases separated by a bearing for mounting 2.2m), we preferred not to tie up with ramps in order not to interfere the transport of luggage. In 4 years of rent, we have no comment about it. Indeed, on our site, we have well written it is not recommended for the physically handicapped.
Hope to have you for another stay.
