This apartment has everything you need to make your holiday special.

Whether you are looking for relaxation, sightseeing or activity, this is a well appointed apartment to provide the perfect base from which to explore this beautiful island, enjoy the year-round sunshine and take in the spectacular views. A location with a perfect blend of peace/amenities, town/beach, seclusion/choice.

This apartment has one bedroom with twin beds and fitted wardrobes and the bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is an open plan lounge dining area with table and chairs, sofa bed, coffee table and CD/DVD/Divx player. There is a Flat screen TV with a selection of English speaking channels available. The lounge leads onto a south facing, spacious balcony which has sunshine throughout the day and has a dining table and sun loungers. The balcony is the ideal spot from which to enjoy a meal al fresco, sunbathe in private and take in the spectacular views and watch the sun setting behind the mountains in the distance.

On the complex you will find an attractive heated swimming pool with a shallow end for kids, sunbathing terraces which are never crowded and no need for towel reservation and has plenty of sun beds, umbrellas, tables and chairs and covered area with pool table. Conveniently located next to the pool is a privately owned licensed snack bar called the Pool Shack from where you can enjoy the stunning views whilst enjoying drinks, snacks and meals. The bar has a DVD and book borrowing service and you can also acess free WiFi from here.

The reception is manned by multi-lingual staff and provides all general information including car hire, excursion bookings, safety deposit boxes, free book borrowing service and free internet access. They can also supply a token for the on site laundry, soap powder is provided. There is maid service which provides a mid week towel change and cleaning is provided. For guests staying longer there is a complete bed linen and towel change each week.

It is only a five minute walk downhill to the harbour at the Old Town of Puerto del Carmen which is a picturesque little fishing port, and is home to an abundance of superb fish restaurants and bars. Although somewhat modernised, it has lost none of its charm and there are plenty of restaurants catering to every taste and in the evenings you can watch the locals taking part in a game of boules.

Also from the complex a 10 minute walk takes you to the new Biosfera shopping centre on four levels which has all the latest fashion shops including Zara, Pull and Bear, Bershka etc. The Biosfera lies between the Old Town and the New Town.

There are regular local bus links nearby, enabling easy access to other areas of interest. The nearest bus stop is located only 150m from the complex.

La Bamba restaurant opposite the complex provides good quality and value. At the Centro Montana Tropical at the southern end of the complex 100 metres away you will find Mario’s Pizzeria who also have take-a-ways. It is just one of many family friendly bars, shops, English butcher and restaurants in this small centre which also has a well stocked supermarket.

The nearest sandy beach is Playa Chico. This small sandy beach with a rocky shore and beautiful sea views is only 10 minutes walk down hill and is great for a quick sunbathe, and if you’re interested in water sports, this is where to go for Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, paragliding, Banana Boating and Jet Skiing amongst other things. You will find sunloungers and umbrellas for hire.

A further 5 minute walk will take you to lively, main resort of Puerto del Carmen which offers 5km of golden sandy beaches. This is a spacious, safe and sandy beach and has an EU Blue Flag for cleanliness and water quality. You will find sunloungers and umbrellas for hire. Playa Grande or Blanca as its sometimes known is the favourite beach and allows safe swimming for families. It also has pedalo rides and banana boat rides.

Puerto del Carmen is the busiest and principal resort on the island and Lanzarote's oldest and largest resort, where shops, bars and restaurants line 5km of coastal road - it's the focal point for energetic nightlife together with being a lively and busy holiday scene during the day. Lots of laid back bars line the promenade - Avenida de las Playas (the beach avenue). This road is the main centre of activity in the resort, and restaurants, hotels, shops, sports bars and fast food centres line this promenade.

One side of Avenida de las Playas is a range of open-fronted eateries, bars and shops and on the other side is a delightful flower-decked promenade alongside landscaped gardens and cycle track and a vast beach of golden sand.

Also known as “the Strip” it is great for the young visitors and several night clubs and countless bars and casino make an amazing night out. There's more of a bar feel to the nightlife but there's plenty of live music and clubs on offer. Avenida de las Playas becomes Lanzarote's busiest entertainment district with the focal point being Centro Atlantico which is located halfway along the avenue and has something for all tastes and budgets ranging from pubs and cocktail bars to cabaret venues, and all-night dance clubs.

The main shops along the Avenida de las Playas sell a variety of craft goods, souvenirs, beachwear, sports goods, perfumes, jewellery, fashions and top-brand electrical and photographic goods at cut prices. There are similar boutiques in the old town and some are worth looking at for attractive, unusual summer clothes.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We are in Holland again, after a great week in Puerto del Carmen. We loved the apartment; especially the big balcony with sea view. It was very clean and we got new towels twice; very good service. Also the swimming pool was nice; with enough sunbeds. It was quiet; exactly what we wanted.

We had dinner at Mario's (two times) as you suggested and we enjoyed it. We also eat fresh fish at Mardeleva, as you advised; it was very good. And of course we walked to Puerto de Calero; a nice walk!

We hired a car for 2 days; we explored the island in the north and also went to the Papagayo beaches.

So we had a very good time and we enjoyed our stay at your apartment very much!

Kind regards,

Friedel & Hans

Casa Low - A Room With a View!!

  • 5 of 5

We have just arrived back from a 2 week break at the Lago Verde Apartments. We stayed in apartment B12.

The stay was excellent, the apartment was very generous in size and had a lovely view of the sea.

The apartment had every amenity required in its full size kitchen and a very large balcony for sunbathing or shade if required.

The complex has a good size pool and a refreshing pool bar where cocktails can be enjoyed.

It is very handy for restaurants within walking distance which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The spar supermarket was 5 minutes walk away and sold everything you need.

Easy walking down to the old town and the taxis are very cheap for the return journey coming in around 3 euros a time and the beach/harbour was also within walking distance.

We recommend a walk along the coastal route to Porta Callero and get the ferry boat back. The boat was around 6 euros each which was enjoyable.

Finally all in all, apartment was great, the location was perfect and we will definitely be planning a return journey!

Amazing view from balcony, plenty of sunbeds, amazing food from shack in complex and plenty of info for trips etc in reception. Everything you need is here! Not far from the airport either. Relaxing beauty treatments just across the road, and near shopping area or they can come to you! I cannot wait to go back, had such a relaxing time, which was just what I needed. Home from home - but with sun

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over Christmas & New Year. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked the apartment for this coming Christmas & New Year.

John & Teresa have thought of everything and their apartment has everything your own home has. The kitchen has plenty cooking utensils and various sized pots/pans - it even has a window looking out over the ocean.

The bedroom has loads of wardrobe and drawer space and the twin beds are very comfortable. I am prone to backaches but I never had any problem with it at all.

The lounge is large with a sofa bed and 2 armchairs, flat screen TV and DVD player, which we liked as we didn't go out every night but watched DVDs sometimes.

The best of all, though, is the large L-shaped balcony which got the sun from the moment it rose until it set in the evening. Even at Christmas time there were days we had to put up the umbrella as it was too hot, but being L-shaped, there was a shed area too.

Another practical idea John & Teresa have thought of - a shopping bag on wheels. Being near the top of a hill, the shopping trolley was used a lot to haul the groceries home from the supermarket instead of having to carry plastic bags. My husband and I are both 66 and we managed the hill okay, although we did get a taxi home at night if we had been out and had one or two "refreshments" ha ha.

I would definately recommend this apartment.

A real home from home

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I (both 66) stayed in B12 over Christmas & New Year 2015. John and Teresa have thought of most things when stocking/furnishing their apartment. The large L-shaped balcony was brilliant as it got the sun from the minute it rose in the morning until it set in the evening. Even at Christmas time there were days we had to sit under the umbrella for shade and there was plenty space for the large table & chairs, plus a couple of sunbeds and the washing line.

There was a nice sofa and two armchairs in the lounge, flatscreen TV and a DVD player, which we liked as we didn't go out every night and could watch DVDs while still enjoying a "small refreshment".

The twin beds were very comfortable with good thick matresses. I am prone to back problems but didn't have any aches or pains at all and there is loads of wardrobe and drawer space.

The kitchen is compact but has everything you need with a full-sized cooker, 4-ring hob and oven. We cooked chicken and steaks etc and it all turned out good. There is plenty of cooking utensils and pots/pans of various sizes.

We loved the shopping bag with wheels left for holidaymakers convenience. As the apartment is on a hill, it came in very handy to take to the supermarket and wheel it up the hill.

All in all, we had a very pleasant holiday - we have booked with John & Teresa for this Christmas & New Year for 3 weeks.

fantastic apartment with a lovely sea view.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Teresa and John's lovely apartment in Lago Verde in April and loved it so much that we are returning this year for another beautiful week in the Canarian sunshine. Wonderful self catering apartment that has everything that you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The complex boasts an immaculate pool area with a pool bar serving excellent food and lovely sangria!

The apartment is located a short walk from the beautiful harbour and the amazing playa chica where you can snorkel with a huge array of colourful fish. The apartment is also close to many restaurants and bars but also far enough away not to cause any noise nuisance. Two excellent restaurants within a stones throw of the apartment are Mario's and La Bamba which both serve amazing food with a warm and friendly ambience.

Our second visit here is sure not to be our last!

Friendly comfortable and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your apartment and the staff were friendly

and helpful so much so that we are considering a long winter break in the future.

The advert was spot on and the info in the apartment was really useful and even the hill was not too daunting !

Our only concerns would be evening noise from La Flora ( Birdy song ) although this did end around 11pm, and poor wifi which cost extra in the apartment, but all out of your control.
