This is my grandchildren and I at Lake Blue Ridge, one of my favorite places in the world! Everyone loves Blue Ridge, great place to make lasting family memories that everyone will talk about forever!
Why Donna chose Blue Ridge
Friendly town, lots of outdoor activities, gorgeous weather.
What makes this Cabin unique
RELAX and enjoy life! Many Cherokee would farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains, leaving them during the winter and staying at the Cherokee village of Aska, or "winter home". From extreme south-central Pennsylvania the Blue Ridge Mountains run to the south and west, including land that ranges from high peaks to rolling hills like those throughout much of the southwest portion of Virginia. In southern North Carolina this high eastern ridge turns west, and continues to Springer Mountain, in southern Fannin County, Georgia. While the Blue Ridge range does continue to the west it is at this point that both the Benton MacKaye and Appalachian Trail begin their northward trek along the ridges of the Appalachian Mountains. West of the Blue Ridge range is a second series of mountains that runs from West Central North Carolina to Fannin County, Georgia. In Georgia, this range is known as the Cohuttas; further north they are called the Smoky Mountains. The Cohuttas and the Smokies are part of the Blue Ridge province, yet they are actually geologically distinct from the Blue Ridge Mountain Range and quite a bit older. In Fannin County, Gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Cohuttas rise in the west and the Blue Ridge to the south and east.

A weekend in the clouds
This cabin was perfect, far away from everyday life but still close to everything . It is 10 mins from Blue ridge downtown, if you need to make a quick grocery run or for get down for lunch or dinner and its still secluded enough that we were treated by a bunch Deers staring back at us while checking in. Cabin itself was beautiful and cozy, it has everything you need including a great collection of books and music, and is right next to beautiful Aska Trail head. This place has one of the most bueatiful sunrises I have ever seen.
Thank you Donna for letting us stay here !
Very nice cabin and excellent view
Cabin was well equipped with everything you need except for food of course. Very clean and neat. The views from the deck were outstanding!
Thank you, hope to see you again soon!
The cabin was well appointed with everything we needed and was the perfect get away for my wife and I. There would have been ample room for another couple or two to join us. The location was ideal as we were 10 min from down town Blue Ridge, yet felt like we were miles away from anyone. We stayed for a week in October and the only thing we needed to bring was food and our personal goods. The road up the cabin is a little steep, but was able to get in and out on my Harley with no problem. We would definitely return to this property.
My husband and I had an amazing weekend staying at cabin 1. We were a group of 6 and all slept very comfortably. The mountain view from the deck was breathtaking. We were only a 10 minute drive from a great restaurant in town, Chesters. We will definitely be back!
Thank you, it was my pleasure to host your group. Hope to see you again!
EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED!
The cabin is clean and cozy, also well appointed. This was our second year in a row staying at this cabin and we had a wonderful time once again!! The cabin is near many area attractions. Donna has terrific communication and the cabin was just what we expected and hoped for, we hope to come back soon!
Great Cabin with Fantastic Location!
The cabin was very nice and cozy with beautiful vistas. It was exactly as advertised and in a great location for views, hiking and connecting with nature. Yet it's only 10-15 minutes from the dining and shopping in Blue Ridge. The owner is extremely friendly and flexible. My family and I had a great time!
