The Duplex Penthouse consists of 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor with one family bathroom and upstairs a large living area with 2 sun terraces and yet another family bathroom with shower. Walking distance to Sliema yacht marina and couple of minutes off the bus stop that will take you the the busy Sliema and St Julians to one side or Valletta the other side.

This stunning penthouse is set in a quiet residential area, very close to central Sliema. This duplex penthouse is situated on top of a modern block of apartments on the third and fourth floor, served with lift. It consists of three bedrooms on the 3rd floor. It has a double bedroom overlooking the street, another double bedroom with a back balcony and another single bedroom to which an extra bed could easily fit for the 6th guest. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned. Also on this floor there is a spacious, family bathroom with a bath tub.

Upstairs, the spiral staircase, takes you to the spacious open plan living area. It leads to the fully equipped kitchen with microwave oven, oven and dishwasher. It also features a comfortable dining table for 6 people. Also it has a spacious back balcony with table and a couple of chairs. Also on the other side of the room, there is the sitting area where 5 people can sit comfortably. It comes fully equipped with cable tv programs and wifi internet. Also the lounge area leads to a spacious front balcony with a couple of sunbeds and yet another dining table with a gas bbq. From this balcony one can enjoy some stunning city views even of the capital city. The living area is fully air conditioned. Moreover, there is another full, family bathroom with shower cubicle.

This place is ideal for people seeking a relaxed holiday in a beautiful and fully finished apartment. The location of this apartment makes it an ideal spot from where to explore the entire island. It is located 5 minutes (by bus) away from the capital city Valletta in one direction and 5 minutes away to Sliema and St Julians the other direction.

I travelled with a group of 6 people to Malta, staying at this apartment for 7 nights. It's located in Msida, and is a 2 minutes walk to the nearest bus stop and 5 minute stroll to the beautiful marina in Ta-Xbiex. Booking with the agent Ralph Vella was very straight-forward, and I found him very flexible to deal with - we had a couple of requests that he was able to accommodate without hassle. We opted for a taxi-transfer as arranged by the letting company, an inexpensive option if you are travelling as a group and takes the hassle out of having to locate the apartment on your own. A €200 security deposit was given to the agent and returned promptly on departure.



The apartment was exactly as described and there were no unexpected or hidden surprises. Located in a quiet residential area, the penthouse is on 2 levels - 3 good sized bedrooms (2 double, 1 single) and a bathroom on the lower level and the large open plan living space / kitchen area is accessible via a spiral staircase. Both the front and back balconies are found on the top level, off the living area. The views from the front balcony were outstanding - right across the south of Malta. There was also a brand new gas BBQ available for use which we took great pleasure in using on one occasion.



The apartment was in a good clean condition as we would have expected. Towels were provided. There is also free WiFi included in the rental.



Electricity is supplied through a pre-paid meter and we had around €55 credit on the meter when we arrived - this was included in the rental price. A €20 token was also provided in case we ran out - chargeable at the end of our stay if we used it. Regrettably we had to use all €75 of electricity credit... We put this down to the use of the air-conditioning which we used quite liberally throughout the week! This did not come as a surprise as the agent forewarned about the expense of the air-conditioning.



We found the location to be excellent and especially ideal if you are spreading your travels between both Valletta and Sliema - the bus takes you to both in 10 minutes either direction.



There is an excellent licensed convenience store called 'Damascus' right across the street which is open 7am-11pm and run by an English chap - you'll get all you need from there. There is also a fruit and veg store approximately 30 steps away, and a hairdressers across the road.



I would strongly recommend this apartment to families of 4-6 people. I cannot wait to go back to Malta in

Msida or Imsida is a harbour town in Malta with a population of 7,623. The town is located just west of Valletta on the northeast coast of Malta. The town enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry, sunny summers and short, cool winters.

The neighbouring towns of Msida are Ta' Xbiex, Gzira, Sliema, St.Julians, San Gwann, Birkirkara, Santa Venera, Hamrun and Pietà. Msida is an important town for all travellers as many of the country's bus routes pass through it.

The patron saint of Msida is Saint Joseph while the protector is The Holy Conception. For a week and a half in July, the town celebrates the feast of St. Joseph. The feast of Msida is also famous for its traditional game “Il-Gostra”.

The Mater Dei Hospital is located in the outskirts of Msida. It was inaugurated by the prime minister of Malta Dr. Gonzi in June 2007 and has a total floor area of 232,000m2 and approximately 8,000 rooms. It also houses a teaching facility for the University of Malta.

Its name comes from an Arabic word meaning 'a fisherman's dwelling'. However it could also be derived from the word 'Omm Sidna' meaning 'The Mother of Our Lord' since there could have been a small chapel dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God.

Msida was previously an old fishing village. Although it is now more urbanised, some fishermen still operate in the village.

Msida became a parish in 1867. Then the settlement was centered around the hovels located inward at Valley Road, and some nearby ancillary roads and pathways which led up to the quaint district of Villambrosa. This status did not last long however, as a new parish Hamrun was hived off in 1881. Today the lowest part of Villambrosa Street remains a silent reminder of Msida's jurisdiction in this area.

In the late 19th century, a floating British navy hydraulic dock was also planned at the central part of Msida close to where the Torpedo Depot used to stand. The plan was soon aborted but instead, this area would in later years experience a booming yacht marina service, which has been growing ever since, thanks to new incentive policies issued by the central government.

Refundable damage deposit $316

Minimum booking is four nights, prices will be quoted pro-rata according to the season.
Deposit of 40% is required on confirmation. Preferred deposit payment methods are by bank transfer or by Pay-Pal. While the remaining balance is to be settled ideally 4 weeks prior arrival.

A refundable breakage deposit of 300euro is to be paid on check in either to be settled by visa or cash. The security deposit will be refunded via credit card if paid as such after a maximum of 30 days. Or via bank transfer - if paid in cash - with bank charges incurred to the beneficiary bank account [should s/he not be in SEPA country] after a maximum of 15 days. Thus the beneficiary bank details will be required to refund the deposit.

Due to cleaning necessities the check-in time for the apartments is generally 2.00pm and the check-out is at 10.00am however if there are no arrivals on the same day the apartment can be kept for longer.
Also please note that the price being paid for the property includes basic utilities

- 150KWh- for 2 bedroom apartment
- 200KWh- for 3 bedroom/ 4-bedroom apartment
- 300KWh- for villas

free per week with the apartment which is more than sufficient for a weekly stay. However if the inclusive amount of KWh will be exceed, an extra charged will apply at a rate of 0. 35c per KWh. Other than that there are no other hidden expenses or charges.

Cleaning of the property prior the arrival and after departure is included in the price. Any extra cleaning during accommodation will incur extra charges. Two sets of towels per person and one set of linen per bed is also provided by us, then it is up to one's discrepancy to wash them as much as desired.
Long lets also available rates upon request from owner.
Apartment also available for long term booking of 6 months period maximum with a monthly rate, in such case utilities will not be included in the rate. Please do ask for quote should you be interested.

Please note that the rental price does not include the Environmental Contribution tax, introduced on June 2016 amounting to €0.50c per night up to a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay in the Maltese Islands. This applies for 18-year-old and older.
