Since 1994, our Fifth Avenue Mansion has been an oasis for weary travelers visiting bustling and energetic New York City. Owned and operated by an old European family who has chosen to make New York City their home, the premises has not forgotten the Old World refinements of England and France. Located in the mid-70's and Fifth Avenue, The Fifth Avenue Mansion has often been a home-away-from-home to notable members of several Royal Families from a number of European countries. This property is listed by its Owners, a married couple, who live in the premises with their family. Housekeepers and Maintenance Staff also live on premises and are available 12-hours per day, every day. Most matters get attended to within a few minutes. Lovely Mansion on a Fantastic Location
Located in a fantastic neighborhood, steps from Central Park and museums, the property was beautiful with a regal ambiance. We were met by the owners and the informal "check-in" process was super convenient. We parked our car on the street where we had to move it a couple of times, but it beats having to pay $50/night extra for my car to sleep.
We stayed in the "Grand White Loft" with it's 1 bedroom, 2 additional beds and 2 futons. The unit was very clean and well maintained with an elegant feel. The bathroom was a little small and the unit doesn't offer too much privacy for larger groups since it is a loft. But because it was only my daughter and I, it wasn't an issue.
A couple of items were that a "circuit" clicked loudly every time the heater turned on and the single bed I slept on was rather creaky. Minor issues you notice in the dark of night. The bedroom was a little small also without any dresser space, but does provide privacy.
All in all, it was a lovely stay. Thank you.
