Overview

Lucca Area House Rental Photos and Description

Friendly Cottage with 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms and a breathtaking view

The cottage, fully and nicely furnished, is very functional and each room has a different color.

The access to the cottage is through a fenced terrace, where it is possible to eat, take it easy and enjoy the wonderful landscape of the beneath valley and of the sea.

At the entrance there is a big living and dining room in a open-space along with the kitchen, in Mediterranean style.

The kitchen is very usefully equipped and the landlady (she lives only five minutes away) can spoil you with a fine, original Tuscan cuisine (fish, meat or vegetarian) delivered directly at the cottage at very smart prices.

Thanks to its central heating and the cozy little chimney or the pellet oven, the cottage is not only for summer months but it is pretty much suitable also for winter, spring and autumn.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms: one bedroom with a double-bed and the other with two single beds and a bathroom with shower, as well. On the second floor there is the third bedroom with two double beds and a bathroom with shower.

In the nearby are located Pisa and Lucca, the sculptor city of Pietrasanta, the marble city of Carrara with the worldwide famous marble quarries (on the track of Michelangelo), Torre del Lago (Home of Giacomo Puccini and its Summer Festival of Puccini lead in a open-air theater directly on the lake of Massacciuccoli).

It is very easy to get to the roman tombs in Luni, Leonardo Da Vinci’s home and museum, and also to Florence, Unesco World Heritage Site.

Viareggio is the closest city, on the sea, where takes place the famous Carnival with its famous wagons up to 15 meters high.

Camaiore and the surroundings offer many free concerts of classic music all over the year.

In about one hour driving it is possible to reach Cinque Terre (by car, train or by boat-tour) and Garfagnana, suitable all-over the year for wandering and other sport activities. Guided tours and excursions are available on demand. Boat tours are available also to get to Island Gorgona, the dolphins island.

For the wellness there are wonderful wellness centers with Sauna and steam bath in San Giuliano Terme or in Forte dei Marmi.

The closest shops are only five minutes away and also organic products are available, as well as local wine production.

Dogs and pets are welcome.

On demand it is possible to get different courses like Italian Language, Sculpture, Cuisine, Tai Chi, Yoga.

Real Tuscan Living

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with this wonderful house located high above the Versilian shore, set on a hillside in a quiet olive grove. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our one month stay in Tuscany (including strong wifi internet). It was clean and comfortable and the large terrace provided expansive views of Viareggio and the sea beyond. What a great place to relax with a bottle of wine and watch the sun set. The surrounding hills and the valley below were great for hiking to the many small villages that surrounded the villa. It is away from the hustle but close enough to the town of Camaiore which provided all the shopping necessities. The #1 restaurant in the region (Le Merviglie) is about 5 minutes away and merited many visits. We were very close to both Pisa and Lucca which are two of the must see cities in Tuscany. Our host, Anna was very helpful and attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcome showing us the best of Tuscan hospitality.

A true gem and highly recommended. We would not hesitate to return.

Grazie mille, Anna.

After driving for hours we were so pleased to arrive to a warm welcome and a wonderful house. Everything was perfect , Anna made us feel at home and she is a delightful lady. The house was very comfortable and clean; with everything you need.

Unfortnately we were there for only 1 week but we are looking forward to returning.

We would surely recommend this house for a wonderful and typical Italian holiday.

So Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

I loved to enjoy a delicious Italian dinner with many courses and red superb red wine with view on the hills and the silence of nature. There's a cousy stone table very useful outside the cottage just among trees where you really want to be. After this lovely experience, I decided to pass over this information. Enjoy your staying in such a beautiful place and in a such cosy cottage.

  • 5 of 5

It is up on the hill, only 16 kilometers from the beaches. You can get the groove and the relax almost at the same time, just the time to snap your fingers. Plus, you will never believe you reyes, if you're keen on surfing: versilia delivers some of the best surf spots in the whole mediterranean, just wait for SW, W and NW winds!

Idylle mit tollem Blick

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is located on the Versilia hills with an outstanding view, only 16 kilometers from the beach in Viareggio or Lido di Camaiore.

In the nearby are located Pisa and Lucca, the sculptor city of Pietrasanta, the marble city of Carrara with the worldwide famous marble quarries (on the track of Michelangelo) and Torre del Lago (Home of Giacomo Puccini and its Summer Festival of Puccini lead in a open-air theater directly on the lake of Massacciuccoli).

Florence and Cinque Terre can be reached in about one hour. In the area were the cottage is located there are plenty of opportunities for sport: swimming, hiking, horse riding, surf, wandering, climbing. It is ideal for any season as there are many attractions: for example between January and February takes place the famous Carnival and all the city of Viareggio is involved. For one month each Sunday there's a huge parade with Carnival wagon up to 15 meters height on the sea promenade and parties in the streets everywhere.
