|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
If you want complete privacy then Lily is the property for you.
Surrounded by woods and up to 15 foot high hedges, she is also adjacent to our own field. However, more importantly, we as owners do not stay in separate accommodation on the premises during your holiday. Lily, the pool, jacuzzi, and the garden area is for your sole use only.
Lily had a new fitted kitchen installed in 2011, and the living room is extremely spacious and comfortable. we have no doubt you will be spending most of your time outside on the 100 square meter decking area, complete with swimming pool and jacuzzi, all set in totally private gardens. The outdoor dining area comes complete with seating area and dining table, which seats 8 people comfortably and a superb gas BBQ at your disposal for that al fresco dining was bought new in 2014.
Lily has 3 well-appointed beautifully decorated double bedrooms. All bedroom windows are fitted with mosquittto nets, so you can have your windows open at a night when it is hot and not get bitten to pieces by these nasty little things. A new modern family bathroom was completely refitted in 2015, and there is also a separate toilet.
There's plenty of car parking space and the front entrance gates can be locked to ensure there are no disturbances whilst you're sunbathing. The entire outside entertainment area has mood lighting and outside electricity sockets.
Lie back and relax on the sun loungers or sit under the umbrellas or covered terrace, which has a 20ft awning which helps to keep the house cool in the hot summer months.
In 2014 we created a courtyard garden and we have now transformed the gardens around the pool into a tropical paradise.
What an amazing house and area. We loved our stay – so restful. We will be back next year. Loved the farmers’ market at Bouzic and the caves and Rocadamour. A fantastic holiday. X’
This is a lovely part of the Dordogne area-lots to see and do. We had beautiful weather and there were days we just stayed put as the villa catered for us all-shade when needed, sunbeds and pool. Ginny is the perfect owner, she makes sure that everything is okay for a stress free relaxing holiday, the villa was beautifully clean as was the pool. The information at the villa was really helpful regarding places to go to eat, activities, markets etc., as it included whether is should be an early start etc. Thank you Ginny for making our holiday just as holidays should be.
Lilly was just perfect in every way by far the best property we have ever stayed in. Superb facilities total privacy peace and quiet. Evenings spent having barbecues playing cards and star gazing. Plenty of space for our springer spaniel she loved the meadow that came with the property. Sartlat was great on market day with lovely restaurants loved the old town of Domme also had a great day canoeing on the Dordogne. Hope to come back again.
We have had an excellent week at "Lily" in Salviac. We were three adults with children and grandchildren of 8, 9 an 12 years. We really enjoyed many hours in the lovely pool and jacuzzi. The large gas grill made made great use of burgers, sausages and large steaks. We enjoyed shopping at the two big supermarkets in Gourdon. We can really recommend the restaurant "The Petit Paris" in Daglan. We were at the market in Cahors and La Roque-Gageac. The villiage Rocamadour is truely wonderful. The Castle at Castlenaud-la-Chapelle is great for the kids. And last but not least the cave Gouffre de Padirac is completely breathtaking. The landlords Ginny and Al are very helpful.
We can unconditionally recommend a stay at "Lily".

We loved our stay at Lily. Ginny and Al greeted us on arrival and gave us great information about the area, restaurants etc. The villa is private, extremely quiet and in a fascinating part of France. It was dry clean, had an excellent kitchen and living area, and we loved the big outside deck. There were plenty of seating around the pool for the six of us, outside dining and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay.
We received a lovely warm welcome from Ginny & Al.
The pool and hot tub were very welcome, especially in the hot evenings.
The house is lovely and situated in a great place which acts as a base for getting out and about.
We loved Gourffre de Padirac and Monpazier, and can highly recommend the Auberge de la Place in Cazals
Thanks for letting us share your home.
Lily sits right on the boarder of both the Dordogne and Lot Departments. Lily lies 1 km from the picturesque village of Salviac, which has two excelent boulangeries, restaurants, bank and mini supermarket. She is only 20 mins away from Gourdon which has excellent hyper-markets and countless bars and restaurants selling superb local produce.
Lily is situated in the heart of the Bouriane region of South West France. She is ideally located between the best bits of the Dordogne and Lot Rivers. Numerous castles, prehistoric caves and countless 'villages of France'. It is the perfect retreat to explore the likes of Rocamadour, Domme, Monpazier, Sarlat and Cahors and it's only an hour away from Bergerac Airport.
Steeped in history, this corner of South West France is like travelling back in time. It's relative isolation, up until as recent as the 1980's when the N20 was built and the opening of airports such as Bergerac and Brive has meant very little has changed here for decades - indeeed villages like Saint Cirq Lapopie, Domme, La Rogue-Gageac and Monpazier have all been issued with the prestigious 'Villages of France' title, reflecting their beauty and historical importance.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to the vast array of outdoor activities found in this region, which caters for all ages and budgets. Here are just a few.
You literally have hundreds of Chateaux to choose from and some of the best examples like Beynac and Castlenaud are only 30 mins away. The remnants of the Hundred Years War can be found all through the region, as well as Roman occupation.
One of the most important religious centres, on par with Lourdes and Santiago de Compostela, (hence, the most visited site in France outside of Paris) is Rocamadour, which is only 55 mins away.
Prehistoric caves - some of the earliest signs of man can be found in the world famous caves at Pech Merle, dating back 25,000 years. Then there's the spectacular caves at Padirac where after you descend down into the abyss you then get into a boat to take a trip on the underground lake!
If you like your food, then you've come to the right place. This region of France is world famous for its gastronomy and the superb local markets are bursting with locally produced, quality products. The Cahors wine was introduced by the Romans and is renowned for its black appearance. It was even served to Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry II when they married in 1152.
Canoeing on both the Dordogne and Lot rivers gives you a different vantage point of the spectacular Chateaux, villages and cliffs.
Hot Air ballooning over the Dordogne River is the ultimate treat - the early morning flights will blow you away as the mist rises out of the valleys.
Cycling - You can hire bikes in the nearby village of Cazals and there are miles of country tracks for all abilities.
Walking - A great area for walking with routes suitable for all ages and abilities.
