Charming neighborhood and flat
I traveled with a family of 6. The minute we walked in, we were all impressed. It was just like the pictures. No false advertising. Also, Angela is a wonderful host. She sent a 23 page travel guide with public transportation and neighborhood information, as well as detailed instructions on the workings of the flat itself. She was in Australia during our stay and still was accessible by email. The neighborhood is very charming. With public transportation, it’s only 20-30 minutes to major sites. Also, Thames river transport is walking distance. Loved the pubs. Local grocery within walking distance. Good ethnic food restaurants within walking distance. No AC, but lots of fans to cool off. Would definitely stay again.
NIce flat close to everything
We rented this flat for its proximity to Wimbledon. While public transportation was easily accessible, we opted to Uber pretty much everywhere since we had an older person with us. The flat is very cute. It was a perfect place to return to at night. Both Wandsworth and Putney are easy walks for lots of restaurants and coffee options. Loved it.
Quiet, cozy, convenient
Worked well for a mom and 6 kids (23-12). Quiet neighborhood located convenient to transit and commerce. The property is not in city center by the "attractions"; however, I did not want to stay midst the hustle of crowds. It was a short, easy ride to all the touristy things :) Thanks for offering your home to travelers!
Thanks for your great review! I'm glad you enjoyed the quiet, leafy riverside neighborhood. I hope you return some day.
Great Place and Host in London
This is a great place for a larger group (we had 7) in a nice little and safe neighborhood. There are plenty of amenities near by (grocery, restaurants and pubs). It's usually about a 45 min bus/train/underground ride to the center of London and Google Maps or Citymapper can help you get where you are going. We found enough wifi around that you can get by without cellular if you choose. The best part of this home is the owner Angela. She is very responsive to any type of question. She will even answer vacation planning questions if needed. We had a medical issue while in London and Angela went above and beyond making calls in helping us find the right care. The home is a 5 star and Angela is a 10 star. We chose this place based on reviews so we are adding ours to confirm it's as good as the reviews say.
Thanks so much for your fantastic review and I'm so glad I could be of help. So glad you enjoyed your stay...and just a note for your next visit, you can get to Victoria and Waterloo (home of London Eye) in Central London in less than 30 minutes! Thanks again and I hope to welcome you back one day!
The townhouse is in a good location. Very quiet neighborhood. We felt very safe. The home is fully equiped. All instructions to check and check out were very detailed. Angela was very quick to respond. Thanks for your help Angela.
Thanks for your great review! I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Excellent place to stay!!!
Really appreciated Angela’s thorough tidbits about places to see and go.
Thanks for your great review! It was a pleasure to host you.
The flat is located in zone 2 Inner London, just 14 minutes by train to central London (Waterloo), 10 minute bus ride from Wimbledon, and 25 minutes by bus/train to Victoria. District Line tube is 10-12 min away. 5 minute walk to river ferry (30m to centre). A few minutes' walk away is the river Thames, a tree-lined riverside park, excellent riverside restaurants, and several pubs, while the lively Old York Road restaurant and cafe district is a 7 minute walk away. Waterloo is the home of Southbank, a picturesque riverside restaurant and shopping district, the London Eye, and Imax. A short walk will take you to Westminster Bridge, over the Thames to see the famous Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, then further up to Buckingham Palace and Park Lane. Over the footway is The Strand, Trafalgar Square, Soho, Picadilly and Covent Garden. Further to the right is the Modern Tate, and you can cross the famous Millennium Bridge to reach St Paul's Cathedral in London. By tube, you can reach the same destinations in minutes, as well as London Bridge, the Tower of London, and Oxford Circus.
