Panorama Resort, August 12-20 2017

We had a family gathering at Panorama Resort, staying in the Horsethief Condos.

This was a fine time for the ten of us - six adults and four children.

Our condos were all very nice - cozy and comfortable.

There is lots to do, with several restaurants for the adults and lots of activities for the kids.

The weather had been quite hot for some time before our arrival,

and the lower pool, which is normally very cold, was warm and lovely.

The upper pools and water slides were very good, although the hot tubs were not as hot as in years past.

We noticed a shortage of beach chairs around the upper pools this year - there could be more, for sure…

Many activities that were free to the kids in years past are no longer done, like the s’mores,

or have charges levied. They still had movie nights for the kids with popcorn free, though..

The day passes kids had before were replaced with a system of activity passes

which was not as good as the all-activity wristbands…

The kids enjoyed the horseback trail rides, and our youngest got to ride a real horse for the first time!

The hiking trails, like the valley trail, are excellent, and a great way to start the day!

Hikes at the top of the chair, like the Lynx Loop were fun, but strenuous.

We would stop occasionally at the Grey Wolf golf course for breakfast.

The menu is smaller there. The food is still okay, but not so many choices.

We liked the Picnic cafe at the top of the gondola.

It was nice to stop in there for tea and the chocolate muffins were to die for.

Panorama resort is like a beautiful person or a fine wine - it is aging, sometimes noticeably,

but the quality and service is still there.

We enjoyed our 8 days there very much and will certainly be returning.

Good value for cost!

  • 5 of 5

It wasn't perfect but it was clean and had everything we needed to make it an enjoyable stay. It was nice to be on ground level as we have children and loved that we didn't have to walk stairs with all our stuff! Only suggestion would be to look at a new pull out couch as the mattress was in poor condition. Fine for our toddler but wouldn't want to sleep a couple on it! Also a couple plastic chairs outside would be nice! ;-). We will DEFINITELY be back!

A beautiful location perfectly situated in the hub of activity. The studio was nicely furnished with every amenity. Clean and neat with hot tubs and outdoor cooking facilities a stone throw away. Robert is very nice to work with especially when you are first time renter through this entity. Research how to do Canadian e transfers. Only enhancement to the properties would have been to have hand soap in the kitchen

Very cozy and clean little condo! Perfect for our little family

  • 5 of 5

This cozy little condo was perfect for our family of 4. Although the sofa bed mattress has seen better days, the condo still had everything and more we could've needed to make our stay comfortable, and at a very reasonable price! We will certainly be coming back and recommending to family snd friends!

- I must add, we had a difficult time with the VRBO booking process. Luckily I was able to contact Robert directly, as I tried to get help from VRBO with no luck.
