These Kauai condos are located on over 22 acres of Hawaiian paradise, featuring mature tropical gardens with endless flowers, trees and other flora, cascading pools and lava rock waterfalls, and is steps to one of Hawaii’s most beautiful white sand beaches.

Not only is the Hanalei Bay Resorts’ pool one of the best on Kauai, the views from the one, two and three bedroom condo suites are amazing. Beautiful sunsets, Hanalei Bay, the Na Pali Coast and Bali Hai are just some of the views that the individually owned condos can provide. Our guests enjoy full access to all of the resort amenities, including the two swimming pools, eight tennis courts, bell & shuttle service as needed, resort concierge, front desk and more.

Hanalei Bay Resort is in close proximity to the many restaurants, beaches and activities of the North Shore. Within walking distance is the St. Regis Hotel. Please know that our studio condo is on the 3rd top floor, stairs must be climbed, there is no elevator.

Unless you’re on a fairly leisurely schedule, you’ll need a car or other motorized vehicle to see and do everything on Kauai, which has one major road—one lane in each direction, in most places—that rings the island except along the Napali Coast. During rush hour, from about 6 to 9am and 3 to 6pm, the road between Lihue and Kapaa—the central business district—can turn into a giant parking lot, even with a third, “contra-flow” lane whose direction is determined by time of day. Bypass roads in Kipu (when heading north from Poipu) and Kapaa (when heading south) can alleviate some of the stress, but plan accordingly.

Note: The top speed is 50mph, with many slower sections in residential and business areas. Addresses in this chapter will use Kaumualii Highway (Hwy. 50) and Kuhio Highway (Hwy. 56/560), following local convention. Since highway addresses can be hard to spot (if marked at all), directions may be given with mile marker numbers, cross streets, and/or the descriptors mauka (toward the mountains) and makai (toward the sea).

By Car--All of the major car-rental agencies are represented on Kauai. At the airport baggage claim, cross the street to catch one of the frequent shuttle vans to the rental lots.

Beautiful Condo and Grounds

Milo and Theresa were great hosts. Both the property and condo were beautiful. The condo was clean, and well maintained, and there were many great amenities there for us to use. We would absolutely stay again!

Pictures don’t do it justice

You will never get tired of the view. Such an advantage being higher up on the 3rd floor, end unit. With 2 of the 8 tennis courts in the foreground looking one way, and the main pool on the other side, it was perfect.

Well stocked unit. We used the beach chairs, boogie boards, small cooler to pack beverages when we went to the beach. We stopped on the way in at Wal Mart for groceries, but honestly, their selection was poor and we found the prices at Foodland 5 minutes away by car to be just as good and a far better selection. The washer and dryer came in handy because we played tennis everyday.

If you are a tennis player you will love staying here. 4 of the 8 courts are grass and even if it has rained, they are playable. There is a clinic/more like a drill 9am daily, just don’t expect much in the way of instruction so you are not disappointed.The fee is $20 or $25 for an hour p/p. The number of people in the drill is capped at 8 so it does not feel crowded. It;s quite easy to meet other players and arrange your own matches, but they will do this for you for a fee.

The only thing we weren’t crazy about was the Happy Talk Lounge. We ate 2 dinners there and had cocktails. While the view is nice (your room view is better) and the service good the food was very mediocre and crazy expensive. Yes, I know and expect prices to be higher in Hawaii, but $21 for a hamburger and fries, fell a bit much especially considering the food quality. Maybe we were just unlucky. See for yourself.

The best part about staying here? Milo and Theresa. They could not have been more responsive. A nice welcome message. Checked on us during our stay. These are hands on owners, with a team of people to resolve problems onsite if they occur. We highly recommend and would not hesitate to book again.

A little peace of heaven

I stayed here for five nights with my 12 yr old son. We really loved the area and the resort. As should be expected in this price range, the accommodation was clean and convenient and there was a lovely view of the resort and the bay from the studio/balcony. The staff working at the resort are also very kind and helpful. There are so many things to do around Princeville/Hanalei Bay, such as hiking the national park, bathing at all the incredible beaches (incl. the one by the resort), playing tennis, horseback riding, and even helikopter trips of Kaui’a leaving out of Princeville (our favourite). We also visited the South of Kaui’ (but definitely found The North to be much nicer). I only regret that we hadn’t booked for several more days. Our correspondence with Milo was nice and easy, and everthing was organised extremely professionally. I highly recommend staying here!

We loved this studio so much. The views are indescribable. Breathtaking! Very comfortable bed. A quiet, end unit. Loved having a kitchen and eating most meals on the lanai. The pool was awesome as well as the easy walk to the beach! It truly was paradise! Can't wait to go back!

Why Milo, Owner chose Princeville

Hanalei Bay Resort is widely regarded as one of the best places to stay on the island of Kauai. There are two pools (one of them voted one of the top 10 in the country) situated on 22 acres of tropical acres with ocean and sunset views, lush foliage and a paved path to Pu' u Po'a Beach. The Resort is unlike most condos on the island because

they have concierge service with an activities desk, maid service on request (additional cost) the Happy Talk restaurant/bar and a gift shop. Another restaurant should be opening this summer.....

What makes this studio unique

This unit is ALL about the VIEWS, the Lanai View of Mountains, Waferfalls, Sailboats and Rainbows are just dramatically "AMAZING"!!

You may want to pitch yourself to confirm it is "REAL" ....

Unlike some of the units that have 8 ft ceilings, our condo has 16 ft. cathedral ceilings making the space even more spacious and airy. Studio has its own private lanai, with outdoor sitting to enjoy your incredible views or to enjoy the nightly live entertainment coming from Happy Talk Restaurant.

This is one of the few unit where you DO NOT need a "shuttle" to be taken to unit. It is located right next to the parking lot. Most units at Hanalei Bay Resort require a use of a personal shuttle bus to reach their destination.
