HGTV's Urban Oasis Bungalow Of Asheville - 30+ day rental

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,330 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 14 - 30 nights

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4

This is the one and only Urban Oasis HGTV home in Asheville, NC. It is nestled on a wonderfully quiet street less than a quarter mile to the vibrant restaurant and bar scene in the heart of West Asheville. When you arrive to this completely renovated bungalow, you will see the attention to detail is like no other. It is flooded with charm and professional design. Most of the artwork on the wall and pottery on the table is local and really gives you the essence of Asheville's eclectic character.

When you walk in the front door you can see all the way to the back of the gourmet kitchen that would make any master chef blush. Equipped with everything you need just to drop your bags and live up all Asheville has to offer. To pay homage to the history of this 1920s Bungalow, the barn door and kitchen island are made out of the wood from the previous homes walls and floors.

The master bedroom is a sophisticated take on Farm rustic, encompasses a master closet and one of the more luxurious bathrooms you will find in Asheville. Complete with a soaker tub and a stand up shower.

The guest room, dubbed the Lavender room, has ship lap throughout and puts you in a calm state of mind with this color palate. The guest bathroom did not take a back seat to the master with it design either.

As much hard work went into the outside as it did the inside. Whether you prefer a front porch or a back deck, both have lounge area that invites you to sit all day in the gorgeous weather of the Appalachian Mountains.

So no matter how long you plan to stay you will be glad you did in this luxurious, Green Built Certified, beautifully crafted home.

About Tyler Evans

We are originally from Athens, GA and have lived in Asheville since 2013. We fell in love with Asheville from day one and am proud to call this place home. I could not imagine living anywhere else. We bought this home in 2016 because it was just an amazing home. When you walk in you will understand. The charm and impecable style wil slap you in the face and demand you sit back and have a relaxing time in your new home away from home. We have done our best to think of everything you could possibly want or need to make this a truly luxurious experience and your home away from home. We hope you enjoy this city as much as we do.

Why Tyler Evans chose West Asheville

This property has to be the most unique and one of the more famous homes hear, aside from the Biltmore house. It was on the HGTV Urdan Oasis show and has been incredibly designed by professionals. I have left it exactly as you saw it on TV so you will get the full HGTV effect. Charm oozes from every corner of the home and local art floods your vision. It is truly a spectacular space that you will not find anywhere else in Asheville or an city.

This property is amazing! Super cozy and well decorated, and equipped with everything you need to have a delightful stay. Definitely recommend this house to anyone going to Asheville, the house is located in a very nice neighborhood, safe and quiet, and it is close to Downtown and has a good commerce offering around it (supermarmekts, pharmacies, restaurants, etc.). The owners are super nice and were always available for any questions! We plan to come back and for sure we will try to book this place again!! :-)

Jewel in Asheville

  • 5 of 5

I am not a person who normally takes the time to write reviews. However, I feel this home and owner are worthy of wonderful feedback. My husband, college son, and I traveled from S. Florida for a 5-day Christmas getaway. I agree, the neighborhood sort of took us by surprise. But upon entering the home, we totally felt we had made the perfect choice for Christmas. The home is stunningly decorated. Exceeded our expectations. We were greeted to amazing Christmas tree and a welcoming bottle of Christmas wine from the Biltmore (which we enjoyed with Christmas dinner.) Tyler was beyond accommodating with any minor request. His recommendations were spot on. Yes, Hole donuts are the best you ever put in your mouth! The neighborhood is quiet. Easy to get around. Restaurants and pubs are walking distance. Enjoyed cooking for my family with professional appliances. We travel and stay in many HomeAway homes. But this, by far was a treat. We can not thank Tyler enough for making our Christmas experience memorable.

Exceeded my expectations!

  • 5 of 5

The home is everything it says in the review...all beautifully decorated, high quality linens, beds, decor, lighting, etc. I was afraid that the professional photos might have been an exaggeration, but it's all as promised. The location is quiet, a family neighborhood, but just a few short blocks away are restaurants and cafes. It's a short drive to the River Arts District (don't miss visiting with artists at work) and Asheville. If this is your first time, I highly recommend this home as a comfortable base from which to explore the area.

Tyler, the owner, was helpful and so enthusiastic about the local restaurants...we tried several of his recommendations and agree with him!

I took the smaller bedroom and can assure you that it's comfortable, has closet space, a nice bathroom and lovely paintings and photographs. And I love purple, so that was a plus. The only little glitch was no reading light in the bedroom, but by the end of long days exploring Asheville, I was too tired to read in bed anyway.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful home and great location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and another couple spent five beautiful days in Ashevile NC. Staying in this charming home made our trip even more special. When you walk onto the porch you get such a good feeling because it looks so cozy, but when you open the front door you are in awe! The house is so beautifully decorated and unique that your first impression will be ; I could live here! There seems to be lots of families that live in the neighborhood . We saw lots of people's pushing their little ones in strollers. A little older neighborhood ,but we enjoyed looking at all the different style homes. The neighborhood might look older, but I understand that it is a very desirable neighborhood to live in. I think they call that an up and coming neighborhood . The owner is also so very pleasant and helpful. The house is in a great location . You feel that you are in the center of everything Asheville has to offer.
