The Hideaway is truly a Hideaway. No neighbors! This is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of life while enjoying all the Sundance area has to offer.
Charming 2 bedrooms, 1 bath cabin with a complete head to toe remodel. The master bedroom has handmade furniture including a queen bed and twin size bunk beds. The loft bedroom features 2 twin trundles for sleeping 4 and floor space for sleeping bags or playing games, plus a tucked away couch for reading or naps. The kitchen features high end appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen is set up for cooking including serving ware, utensils. The deck has a picnic table and propane BBQ with a pizza stone, griddle and vegetable tray in addition to the normal grilling grates.
The cabin has a wood burning stove for those cold winter nights plus baseboard heaters for cozy comfort. Wood is provided for your use.
Located on nearly 3/4 of an acre at the top of Big Pine canyon there is plenty of room for children and adults to explore and watch for deer, wild turkeys or listen for the Great Horned Owls that live in the area. Terraced decks overlook the stream with access down to tip your toes in the water create perfect places to relax and enjoy the sounds of rushing water.
Depending on your interests and time of year, skiing, snowboarding, winter ziplining, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, golfing, full moon lift line rides, music, Sundance Film Festival it's all here or very near.
A five minute walk will put you at the beautiful Sundance Resort. Restaurants including five-star Tree Room, The Foundry Grill, The Owl Bar and the Deli will all certainly address your dining preferences for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. The Gift Shop is a not to be missed stop for a t-shirt, new earrings or presents to take home with you.
The driveway can park three cars and access from Timphaven Road is down a series of lit stairs to the cabin. During the summer, the service road is accessible provided you have a four wheel or all wheel vehicles.
WINTER DRIVING: Four wheel drive vehicles or all-wheel drive are required beginning November through May. Rescuing non-compliant vehicles can be expensive and jeopardize your safety and others.
WINTER PREPARATION: During the winter months prepare yourself with snow boots, or good traction footwear. A clip on called “Snow Cleats” are available on Amazon or a good sporting goods store and are totally advisable to folks susceptible to falling. Tennis shoes, high heels or other “city” shoes can be dangerous to your well-being. Layers of clothing, gloves, hats and scarves are normal attire here on the mountain. A good warm ski or winter jacket is a very good thing to bring.
