An excellent property, good bedrooms, very well equipped, great location, loads of cupboards but not much space left for guests to put their belongings in. The garden is nice and private and secure. The sun room was hot in September so it must be unbearable in the summer - sun filtering blinds would be a huge improvement. We would definitely stay again
Well equipped and furnished accommodation in cul de sac with three or four other similar properties.
Well equipped and furnished accommodation in cul de sac with three or four other similar properties. The main loft bedroom gets very hot. The accommodation was neat and tidy but the Kitchen oven fridge and microwave in particular had not been cleaned properly at all. The property was otherwise very pleasant.
Lovely setting and a very well equipped house.
Lovely setting and a very well equipped house. Ideal for walking the Speyside way as it runs right past the house. No shops nearby and no buses running while we were there. Co-op in Aberlour is closest supermarket and if you go there I would recommend the deli over the road. We would be happy to stay here again.
Great cottage in a great location, and right on the Speyside Way.
Great cottage in a great location, and right on the Speyside Way. The cottage is lovely, but the standard of cleaning could be better. The cottage needs better blackout blinds in the bedrooms upstairs, otherwise in the summer you have bright light streaming in very early in the morning.
We could not fault the cottage or its contents.
We could not fault the cottage or its contents. A very spacious cottage and there were four adults, two children and one dog sharing the property and with three bathrooms/showers, plus the addition of a separate dining room there was so much space we did feel on top of each other. Unfortunately we had three weeks of near constant rain and we were not able to make use of the garden at all. There would have been several walks available to take the dog, however once again the inclement weather prevented this from happening. The only drawback we found, as a family who are not hikers or sporty, was the fact that we felt miles away from any town or activity. There was a very small distillery within walking distance and a Castle fairly near, however just to pop out for a coffee or a drink was at least 25 minutes away by car. We would still recommend this cottage to people who perhaps would not worry about the isolation.
