About Julie Sczerbinski
My family has owned this cabin for 5 years and we love it! After spending more than a year searching the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia for the perfect mountain home, we fell in love with this cabin the minute we saw it. When you are here, surrounded by the rhododendron-filled woods, you are able to relax. It's very peaceful and this part of Virginia is incredibly beautiful. I hope you love it as much we do.

Julie’s home and the surrounding property are absolutely beautiful! The only down side was we only were able to stay for a weekend. It was so peaceful, we didn’t want to leave. If you’re considering booking, do it!! You will not regret it.
A true "get-away" from the hustle and bustle!
This property is lovely and true to the photos and description. It sits among beautiful trees, ferns, and rhododendron. Bob, the property caretaker, checked in on us the first day and offered to show us around trails in the area! We watched birds build their nest and saw a deer walk through the yard as we had our morning coffee on porch. If you love nature, you will love this place! It's the perfect spot for rest and relaxation and easy to get to points of interest in the area. Be sure to visit the great restaurants and galleries in the nearby town of Floyd, have breakfast at Mabry Mill, and sample some wine at Chateau Morrisette. We are already looking forward the next trip to Meadows of Dan and the Cabin in the Magic Tree Sanctuary!
Amazing Cabin in the Woods!
I would not recommend for motorcycles, but otherwise it is absolutely perfect! Julie is amazing to work with and the cabin is well stocked, cleaned and stunning we loved our stay!!!
FOR MOTORCYCLISTS: There were 4 of us all riding bikes and looking for a place close to the Blue Ridge, but driveway was very difficult to maneuver bikes on, one of the riders bike dropped (good amount of damage). Even though Julie had given us an alternate entrance right off the blue ridge instead of Terry's Mill Road entrance, (which thank god cuz the water was too high even for our trailer to pull through). It must have rained a bit prior to our arrival because there was a "trench like" entering into the actual cabin driveway that we needed to rake prior to getting the bikes out, there were several "mudslide type trenches) on the driveway itself going out to Blue Ridge we had to walk bikes over. This is no wrong doing on Julie's part, but if you are planning on staying with motorcycles, all 4 of us agreed this review needed to be told. We are all 4 seasoned riders.
Second stay here
Another great visit to this cabin. Cabin is exceptionally well stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed hiking in the woods and dog enjoyed splashing around in the stream. Enjoyed the fire pit area.
I very much enjoyed the opportunity to unplug and get away for a few days at the cabin. Everything was as advertised and I couldn't have been happier. Thoughtful touches, clean, and very cozy. I absolutely hope to come back again.
This cabin is fantastic! It is very clean, cozy and comfortable. Everything on the property is just perfect and well thought-out. We did not have a chance to see everything in the area, so we will be back soon. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
