We had a lovely time at the lodge and it suited our family perfectly (2 boys, 4yo and 8mo).
We had a lovely time at the lodge and it suited our family perfectly (2 boys, 4yo and 8mo). The rooms are spacious and the full cot in the master bedroom was great. This is a converted bungalow so only the master bedroom is upstairs (+ensuite), but our 4yo loved having his own room downstairs and used the spare room (our 8mo was in with us) as his own private dressing room; he could easily come up to find us in the morning if he wanted. The area around is limited, as there's a fair drive off the main road to the cottage, but the huge garden (field?) out the front was great for games and running around. The cottage was well looked after and the high ceiling downstairs in the open lounge/kitchen/diner made it feel much larger than it was. We really like this cottage and it suited us perfectly for trips to Loch Lomond, Stirling, Glasgow and Falkirk; the train to Edinburgh was an option but we ran out of time - next time! Really friendly owner too who swapped the bedding for us (from feather; I have allergies) without any problems. Will definitely keep this in mind again if we come back to Scotland.
A beautiful cottage in a perfect setting.
A beautiful cottage in a perfect setting. We had a really lovely holiday!
Loved the Lodge.
Loved the Lodge. 4 adults and a baby stayed for a week in November 208. The Lodge was very warm, clean and tidy for us arriving. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all we needed, and we worked out the central heating and the wood-burning stove easily. Met William, who was very friendly and helpful. Would love to come again, and highly recommend The Lodge.
A brilliant little gem of a holiday home in a gorgeous setting.
